The choices seem endless and as you watch the reviews, they really don't make much sense – well to me they don't. I'm still trying to get low rate and high rate straight in my mind.

I am lucky though, for there are 4 of us that decided to quit smoking at the same time (we sit at the same table every morning at the restaurant). John has already purchased a Buzz and a Provari, Harold purchased a Lava Tube v v plus a Darwin V V. Michael and me are still mulling it over. I got to talking about the Provari and John said "if you will pay for a drip tip and a bottle of juice I will let you use my Provari for a few day's and I can use my Buzz". I snatched him up on that offer and I am very glad I did. If I was a youngun like he is (he is only 68) then I would probably like the Provari but my old hand's just doesn't have the sensitivity to adjust the voltage. I can handle the Lava Tube but it isn't easy, but it is doable. I kind of like that Lava Tube.

Anyhow I think I am down to two choices the first month. I am going to get the volt small starter kit and the supertanker, plus some E juice for the first month. The next month I may buy a lava tube. If anybody here has some better suggestion's, please let me know.

Oh yes, while watching all of the review's, I came across something that I didn't pay much attention to at the time and I can't seem to find it again. It had to do with the flavors we use. It said that some of the flavors had sugar in it and that would harm the atomizers. If anyone here knows anything about this and which ones to avoid, please let me know. I could kick myself for not paying more attention to something that important. I will be making my purchases the third of next month, that's when we old folks get our money!
Thank you very much

Wow! I am noob and a Georgian too. I haven't had the opportunity to try out a pv and am still studying. My cousin uses a vp and I called her for her reccomendation. The best thing she told was to come here! I'm considering a Riva 510 starter kit (plus some extra juice and maybe an extra atty or cart) You're lucky you got to try out a pv before purchasing. My only option, around here, is to blow $15+ for a five pack kit. Your post gives me another starter kit to look at. Thank you.

No - the flavorings used for eliquid should not have sugar in them. They often have sucralose (Splenda liquid), no sucrose (sugar). Both PG and VG are sweet but are sugar alcohols I think - they don't gunk up atomizers. Ethyl maltol starts as crystals and is dissolved with alcohol to make a burnt sugar taste sweetener which may be found in flavors like caramelly desserts, cotton candy (in fact is IS cotton candy flavor), and maybe some tobaccos like sweeter RY4 and 555 - dunno it it has issues but it's still not sugar.

What will crap your atomizers and cartomizers up faster is dark, cloudy or opaque liquids that drop flavoring sediment.

In any case, I don't care for atomizers other than to test new juices and vape occasionally used or thick juices at home. Most people end up switching to cartomizers for everyday vaping. That gets rid of the problem of atomizers degrading, needing cleaning, dying. When a carto gets degraded you prepare a new one and toss the old one.

Honestly, with all this talk about expensive and fancy VV PVs, I def didnt expect you to say your considering a Slim ecig of all things.
The volt is one of the better slim ecigs, but after trying things like the Darwin, Provari, BuzzPro, and lavatube, I have a feeling your going to be quite disappointed. I'm not saying your going to be disappointed bc it's not VV, bc there is nothing wrong with getting a fixed voltage device for your first ecig and most people do, but going with a slim ecig i feel like is really short changing yourself and will greatly limit your options. Slim ecigs have small batteries and need to be recharged very frequently, like numerous times a day. Not only that, but slim ecigs can only use standard resistance attys/cartos which gives you limited options since low resistance attys/cartos are only for bigger battery PVs.

I'm not saying you should buy an expensive PV that has all the bells and whistles, but I think you'd be much happier with a very affordable bigger battery PV. Check out the Epower, kGo, and Riva. Their all 3.7V PVs that have 510 connections. Any of them would def be better than a slim ecig, and surprisingly their at most the same price, and most likely cheaper than what you'd pay for a slim ecig.
I like the Epower and kGo personally, and I have an Epower. Both have great battery life and give a great vape. The biggest difference between the two is that the Epower uses non-proprietary removable batteries, just like your friends Provari, lavatube, and BuzzPro do. The batteries are 1050mah so they last a long time and I get on avg at least a full day on one battery. The Epower uses 14650 batteries, which cost about $5 and are 1/4 the price of kGo/eGo/riva batteries. They wont last as long as the batteries that are in your friends PVs bc they are quite a bit smaller, but they will def last a LOT longer than any slim ecig battery will. And if you do get an Epower and decide to buy a lavatube down the line, you could use the Epower charger to charge the lavatube batteries, and vise versa. The Epower gives a great vape and you could use low resistance (which most people prefer) or standard resistance attys/cartos.
The kGo is also a nice PV too even though it uses proprietary batteries. The batteries are 1100mah so they will last a long time too and most people get a full day on one battery.

You can get an Epower or kGo kit for about $45, and I think you'd like either one. And I def think you'd be a LOT happier with a bigger battery PV compared to a slim ecig that you'll need to recharge every few hours

No - the flavorings used for eliquid should not have sugar in them. They often have sucralose (Splenda liquid), no sucrose (sugar).

Fwiw, sucralose is chlorinated sucrose (technically, it is sucrose (table sugar) in which 3 hydroxyl groups have been replaced by chlorine atoms). Although it is not metabolized as sugar by the body, at temperatures over 246F (119C) it begins a decomposition process that results in the release of hydrogen chloride (HCl) and water (among other things). (see citation below) Hydrogen chloride is a gas that readily forms hydrochloric acid when exposed to humidity. Hydrochloric acid is a strong acid and not something I would want to be breathing in. I don't know what kind of temps are reached in an atomizer but suspect they could very well exceed 246F, especially with a long vape. Personally, I will pass on e-juices that use sucralose.
