Before yesterday afternoon all I had available to wrap coils was 32 guage kanthal. It worked pretty well, but I had a hell of a time with microcoils. I started twisting it and using the smallest drill bit I had and made what I thought was a micro coil, but I'm fairly certain it was a mini coil.

I got in the mail a spool of 30 guage kanthal and wrapped a coil on a blunt needle from one of my juice bottles. 8 wraps and it comes out to 1.2 ohms, or maybe 1.4...can't remember. This is by far the best vape I've had. I've seen some of the coils you pros wrap and I know I still have a lot to learn.

I showed this to my girlfriend and some non-vaping friends and they could give a rats behind....:(

so...I thought I'd share with ya'll, since you guys encourage pictures and stuff..... Nothing real special, but I'm pretty stoked about it.

Any tips, tricks or suggestions are certainly welcome!

Thanks dudes and dudettes!!!

I know the feeling you are having! I just got my RM2 a couple of days ago and wrapped my first micro coil! I was so proud of myself but others are like duh??? Guess the non vapors just don't get it. I am proud to say I am still vaping on the same coil. Third day now. Replaced the cotton after the second day and still vapes just as strong!

put a bed of cotton underneath, no need to put a wick inside. in fact cover the whole base with cotton. youll get more drags out of each squonk. plus the extra cotton reduces the chamber making the flavor more intense.

I will definitely give this a try. I've done something similar with an igo-l and got a pretty good vape. It'll also be way easier to rewick that way.

Will report back:)

Nice coil man! I made an at temp at it too. I did it on my trident clone. 26 gauge five wraps. Came out to .3 ohms. I used cotton balls as my wick. Such a satisfying vape. Great throat hit flavor and vapor
