i personally prefer the 1.5 ohm dual coil cartos, other like the boge 2.0 single coil cartos as well.

my 1.5ohm dc cartos last me forever it seems, been using 5 in circulation (each used every day) for over a month with no problems.

yep also i use dualcoil carto 1.5 or 1.25 ohmi, and imist tank dual coil (with modding by my friend) :D

Is there any mod you'd recommend for the 1.5dcc?

i've been using a tiny cheapo 3.7 custom box from smoktek.com for my 1.5DC's, works flawlessly, but not a VV device of course.

i think buzzkill means that 1.5dc drain batteries faster, i think the higher current gain does shorten their life span by say maybe 25%, but at 10 months of use versus 12, i don't really care.

And then, there's the unavoidable fact that some juices like 1.7 ohms and others taste best at 2.0 ohms. That's the ultimate reason for variable voltage vaping being so popular. You can find the sweet spot for the juice and atomizer combination you use. I find that 1.7 destroys the nuances of some of my juices, so I switch back to a 2.0 Boge for those.

I find 3.4v to be just about right for 1.7 ohm cartos. 3.7v is better at 2.0 ohms or higher ... just my preference.

On my cheapo vv box mod, it's been interesting to install a voltage display between the mod and the atty just to see what the sweet spot is. Then, I can use that information to return there for certain atomizer/juice combos. Of course, you can always crank back and forth and find it again by experimentation. My next mod will have a built in voltage display.

Heyas Keeno,

How would you compare the kangers to boges of the same resistance? Been looking at trying the kangers, but haven't gotten around to putting together an order large enough to avoid shipping from anyplace that carries them. Would be very curious to hear your thoughts on the matter.

Not to put words in Mikes mouth, but I'm pretty sure he was saying lower resistance in general tends to go through battery charge faster than higher resistance at the same performance level. i.e. if you took 2 vv mods, put a 1.5Ω carto on one, and a 3Ω carto on the other, adjusted the voltage so the vape was exactly the same from either, the charge on the 3Ω would last longer than the charge on the 1.5Ω. Not sure why exactly, but there ya go.

I agree, on a VV 8watts @ 3 ohms would be the same (to the battery) as 8 watts on a 1.7. With DCC's, I tend to run higher watts. So my 2.0 DCC's drain the batteries faster the the 1.7 single coils I use, because i crank the power up higher with the DCC's...
