Lavatube Ordered Today!!! My First VV Newb Question.....

Hey all I just ordered a Lavatube for myself, and finally yes got my GF a Ego Starter! First with the Lavatube, I know it is VV so am I going to have to purchase different ohms attys/cartos To go with it? I have been using a SB just with 2.4 and Dual coils and also just recenlty moved to 2.4 ce2 on a Torpedo tank. I am going to try for low voltage im going with the LR Atty they have on the Volcano site can I use those on 4-5 volts also or will they burn out too quick? And does the Lavatube truly go up to 6v? never tried 6v before I have attempted to on the SB but always burnt out my carts.


So my questions are:

1. Recommendations for vaping at low Voltage, What to use what ohms is best at low voltage.

2. Recommendations for vaping at high voltage, what to use what ohms is best at High voltage?


I know probably newb question that has been answered on the forum so many times but im just confused I think I have it figured out but just want to make sure so I dont go blowing anything out. Thanks!

I usually stay around 3 ohms and definitely 2.5 ohms or over with VV. That should give you the full range to find your sweet spot.

You can use lower ohms with it and they will work but your basically restricting the voltage range using them due to LR pulling more current. So if you already have them no reason not to use them and you can still tweak at lower voltages to find your sweet spot but I wouldn't recommend buying LR to use with it.

Well done received mine yesterday,I am using the Boge 2.7ohm Carts in a tank between 4.6v -5.2v Amazing amounts of vapour, taste and throat hit
Went up to 6v very warm but loss of flavour !! ( The Boge carts are great value for money about £1 each !! )

Heyas MegaT4ever,

The great thing about vv is that you can use most anything with it. All those cartos you tried and maybe weren't quite satisfied with, you can now pop onto your new lt, play around with the voltage a bit, and get a great vape. There are a few things to consider, but really just about anything you have laying around will work.

From what I've been told, using lr stuff on some, if not all, vv mods might shorten the life of the battery charge. Not enough to warrant consideration for me though, especially with the lt's 18650.

The lt has some issues with dual coil carto's (as does pretty much any other vv mod to varying extents). They'll work, but depending on your taste, you might not be able to run as much power through them as you want. I'm not a fan of dcc's though, so that's not a problem for me.

+1 on the boge sr's. The very first box of carto's I bought was boge sr. Loved them, but wanted more, so started trying all different kinds of cartos. When I finally got into vv, I came across one of those and decided to use it. And WOW! The boge sr's underperformed a bit on my ego's, but with vv they're just stellar.

Thanks for the tips and heads ups on the bpges I've been using cartos but with my last order I put in for juice I got some attys to try both in lr and sr where do you get the sr boges from? I mean what reliable vendor? I also have a tank I use the torpedo tank with ce2 works pretty nice on my SB so im gonna have alot to play with.

I use 1.5ohm at 3.7v
and 3ohm on my VV Buzz Pro and vary my voltage between 4.5 and 5.5 depending on which juice I am using.

You can get boge sr's from just about anywhere. Madvapes, liberty flights, goodprophet, discount vapers... The list goes on and on

The protection circuit will kick in if you set the voltage to high with LR equipment. See chart.

So far its great, havent really been able to give a good test on different attys/cartos my batteries just came in for it and they both fit! Yay! I heard people were getting wrong sized batteries but I ordered mine from Super T Manufacturing and they fit perfect charging now cant wait!

It really is better to adjust by taste, more so just "Vaping at X.X volts on a X.X ohm atty" People sometimes get too technical specs with their vape and forget just to just enjoy what we do.
