Yes I was inspired enought to have my husband make me one. It isn't complete but it works and is keeping me off analogs until my batteries get here tomorrow. I should have done this sooner and it would have saved me the cost of overnight shipping.

Thanks Nico for the idea to salvage the switch from a 4 aa holder.
I built one of these except I like Pen style atomizers so I used a 2aa box instead of the 2aaa box. Its a little sloppy but works great.

I have made 4 battery mods where does it end!! This is actually becoming a hobby.

Bosque, can you tell us what it is you are trying to do? Are you trying to build this mod? If so the batteries are size 10440. For some odd reason they are not listed with the other batteries. You have to type "10440" into the search box on the DX site. Any of the multi chargers there should charge them.

Yes, briefly. I was pleased with their performance. They fit ever so nicely in my AA box mod. I just took a turn toward the small and stealthy. I plan to do more with the 14500 soon for use when I am not at work (controlling buggers those employers can be). The mAh rating is much better on the 14500, so it should last me about a day at a time without needing charged.

Ya after some research I think the 14500 with the AA box is for me. That AAA box is cool though. Very sleek. Yhe whole idea of the master switch is the ultimate key. One I wish my GG had to make it the ultimate imortal lol.

I built a 2aa model for the 14500 It was inspired by Nicos build. It works great. It is pictured about 5 posts up with a smaller cigar model battery in it. I have to warn you that the trustfire 14500 protected battery is a really tight fit. You have to really snap it into place. I think it is because it has a circuit board (protected) that makes it a little longer. you might want to consider the non protected model which is slightly smaller.

Thanks, today i bought all the parts at Radio Shack and was just trying to locate the correct batteries , I will go to the dx cite at see if i can find them. thanks again.

Pat--yes shipping can be an issue--but they do carry the batteries as well --I do not see the chargers though which is strange--anyway it is the only place I have found that sells these AA boxes with the kill switches which I think is important for saftey so the atomizer does not fire when the device is in transit---Sun

Fascinating stuff here. My interest is high because of the premature death of a week-old 801 battery and it's looking like creativity may soon be necessary to carry on.

Are the part numbers and methods posted in your HOW TO thread adaptable to an 801?
