Ok, so from what I'm reading here in the forum, you can use the 5v USB to power the cigs, but the problem is the connection between the USB and the atty?

It used to be a problem, but now, if you follow directions and ask questions (preferrably here where we can all benefit from the answers), this thread will tell you exactly how to use a premade part that you can buy retail. Then you won't have to tear apart an e-cig battery just to get that little piece of brass at the end.

if its anything to anyone its the male end of a coaxial plug with a switch, in laymans terms its the same thing as what you screw your cable chord for your TV into. which is kinda interesting and means if one wanted to build a passthrough from scratch alls that would be needed is a coaxial coupler and some imagination.

that said I spent the past 15 minutes looking for a pinout to no avail. sad because finding that kinda crap is one of the things im best at =(

I have used these M and N size connectors on a few mods and they seem to work ok, but sometimes have a problem with the center connector on a true dse901 atty grounding out ( making contact) with the outer ( negative) part of the connector when it is screwed in. In fact I was just putting together a Nicostick and had the connector already glued in, but when I screwed in the atty it came out real hard. I had to pull it off the connector after unscrewing and it, and it left the center post from my atty lodged inside the connector. ( Broke the wires)
Brand new atty too damn it!!
I would be careful when using these as they dont all seem to have the same inside diameter on them. As I said I have used them before with only a few issues.
This Mod is now destined for use with only the 4075 attys that I have as they have a considerably smaller center post.
From now on I will be using a tire valve extender with a brass center pin as I seem to have these down pretty good, and I can drill out the I.D. of the valve extender first if I need the clearance for the attys with a larger center post.
This was done with the N size connector by the way.
