You know, I find that "vaping" is more like smoking herb than smoking cigs, as far as the ritual goes, but then again I exclusively drip with my 510, even when im out, driving, whatever, I can practically do it with my eyes closed now. However i totally feel like i'm prepping to do some drugs when I pull up at a stop light and start dripping a liquid from a vial into a long skinny thing... feel like I might as well be tying my arm off with the seat belt - *flick* *flick* LOL!

Im still waiting for the day a cop sees me doing this and gives me a hard time about it. possibly even confiscating my equipment and temporarily arresting me. I'm sure it can happen, if it hasnt already.

I honestly forget what this has to do with this thread now, but something I read here made want to say this, so 'tuche' i guess :)

Oh yeah now I remember! lol the reason I'm posting this is because I feel that as an avid herb smoker, I feel transitioning to vaping was a LOT easier for me than someone that doesnt, because of the 'prep' work involved, the 'pipe' smoking aspect of it, etc.

I was at a concert last night and you would NOT BELIEVE how many people asked me if they could "use my pipe" for a minute. LOL

Before you hang it up, I would suggest trying one of the butane fueled systems such as the Iolite. I have been researching it and it has gotten good reviews. No batteries needed! Uses a piezo ignition to light the butane. Butane is cheap! I am hoping that the price drops on it as it goes for $250.00, I feel that is outrageous!! I do believe butane will be the wave of the future for vaping.

I live in Illinois and a pack of Camel's average $5.80/pack. quote]

I live in Mackinaw---about thirty minutes from you.

I had problems from the get-go. Solved it with the NicoStick (see Modders section). Bought several 3.7 AA batteries so I only charge a couple times a week.
While at home, I use my models built for the Wall Warts.
Both of the above produce great vapor.
My advice, get away from the factory batteries!!!

There is no right answer, just like not everyone smoked the same analogs. I smoked Camel Lights 40 - 60 a day and where I am I was paying $47-$50 a carton plus the buying my wife's carton so I was spending $100 - $145 a week. We both switched and I ended up spending about $250.00 in start up costs. Titan + Evo + juice and carts. I am a gadget junkie so playing with the e-cigs to find the right cart, drip, juice flavor and strength was no biggie. I was lucky my wife who hates gadgets really liked the evo and the taste of the ecopure regular. I have been off the analogs for 3 weeks and have saved a ton of money.

The best part of switching wasn't the money part (although it is nice) but my morning hack has gone, I have regained a sense of smell and starting to regain my taste buds.

I love being able to vape in the house. I smoked in the basement man-cave and my wife hated it cause it would stink up the house. I can now vape and watch the game and not bother anyone. My kids love that the smell is gone from my clothes, the house and the car.

You had to learn how to smoke analogs, you just take it for granted, once you learn how to vape and what works for you, you'll be surprised how easy it gets.

Good luck and don't feel bad if you still use an analog it's not a contest. Just give it a chance and keep posting questions, the ECF has been an awesome place to this noob for helpful info.

I bought the iolite on eBay the other day for $175 .. FREE SHIPPING .. keep looking ..there are many good deals out there. I am still waiting for mine to arrive. Later today I am going in search of some VG .. PG as well .. Then I am going to pull up a chair next to the mailbox and wait .........

Mods are the way to go..... I have found that 5.0 is most like analogs, the real thing..... Many say the 3.7 is too weak and many say 6.0 is too strong..... Many say the 5.0 is the sweet spot.....
I got a Silver Bullet and it is nice..... I got a GG Transformer which is my preferred choice for now..... Both are 3.7 and 6.0 compatable.....
After hearing about the 5.0, I ordered the GLV and hope this one will do the trick.....
GG just came out with the AFS which is a reservoir system for the liquid and can last up to all day depending on how much you vape..... Am waiting for my AFS arrives.....
I also have a 510 Titan and with a Pass Through it is 5.0...... It is very nice....... I don't think there is anything identical to the analog...... So far, am pretty happy with the above...... But again, Mods are the way to go...... Heard the Chuck is cool too.....

For me, third time was a charm! First was a pen style I found in a smoke shop... research led me here and to the 510. The 510 got me off the cigs, but I am just not one who likes to fiddle and fuss just to get a decent throat hit and taste. Then I heard about the VaporKing (KR808D) from V4L - and there I found my sweet spot! For those who just want to pick it up and go, this is the one!

Bottom line, there are lots of options out there, and as others have said you just have to find what works for you! Going back to the smokes is not an option for me, and I hope not for you! Keep trying and find something that works for you - it is out there, I promise! Good luck! ;)

"but for some reason sometimes the flavor is awesome, sometimes harsh, and the damn thing clogs a lot, I guess I flood my atty and cant just blow it out. Funny thing is I only put a couple of drops in at a time and only top off when the hit gets wimpy."

This is where I was, could not vape a cart without taking off the atty, inserting into shirt, and whistling while blowing the damn thing out. Flavor would be overwhelming with no vapor clogging my sinuses.... was pretty damn aweful. This was after quitting analogs for a week! Tried every cart mod I could find... they all had drawbacks. Until now, I think I found the end of my mysery! The ADM mod and using the blue foam. I have gone through 6 carts... no foul taste (overwhelming flavor), more vapor, more throat hit... It saved my 510, something cheap and easy you may want to give a shot. As mentioned earlier, it is no race, take it easy, have a smoke... just keep with it, you'll find your sweet spot if you don't give up!

What saved me from going back to analogs was the Janty Stick . .the 801 vapes different on the Janty Stick it seems than on any other PV .. I never ran out of battery because of the USB charger .. I have other PVs that I love, but when I am getting 'the urge' for an analog, I pull out my janty stick. I just wish it was metal and prettier .. but that is a cosmetic thing.

I can't wait for my Iolite to arrive .. I am thinking no batteries, not atomizers. Soak a piece of cotton ball in VG and apply a few drop of juice and I am good to go for a few hours of heavy vaping .. or so I have been told . .

I don't care what people think of my noisy Iolite .. I will use it at home, use it in the car and use it in my office .. Maybe in public I will use something with an atty.

I just tried that mod and I'm actually gonna do this over dripping from now on I think. I didnt even do the blue foam it seems to work fine with the regular poly-fill too :)
