Oh ya, I'm not sure what the deal was with the LED's either, I tried 2 and couldn't get it to work, never had that problem before & had to leave it out and walk away from it, it was driving me bonkers!
Anyway...I really like it, nice and small!

One more thing, I like it better than my juice Box! Now just need paint!

Made this diagram to show the proper hookup for resisters\LEDs. Did you have the LEDs hooked up this way? It is always good to walk away from a mod at times! Heck, I did last night and mine is complete (lol) and it helped!

Probably best that you did not put the switch in the corner because that can be very frustrating. It takes some melting of the inside of the box to get it to fit in there.

You like it better than the juice-Box because you made it! If I had a "Juice-Box" I would just end up tearing it apart to see how it worked like I do to poor MadVapes switches and not sure that thing would go back together as well. LoL!

Just an FYI if anyone does end up sanding too much. On a mod I did a while back I actually drilled out a slot for a master on/off switch but later decided to put it in a different location. I used epoxy putty to fill in the 1/8"x1/4" hole and once sanded and painted you couldn't even tell it was there! It's also a way to thicken any weak areas (i.e. really thin corners) if there's spare room inside, just put putty inside, wait 15 minutes (or whatever your puttys cure time is) then sand away. If/when you've sanded through the plastic you'll notice it as the putty is a different color.

Just a thought for anyone wanting a really curved box (or any shape really).

Switch has malfunctioned and stopped working on two of these mods. So this project is on hold for now. :(

The "how-to" pictures can be found here though if anyone is interested for their own experimentation:

a 5 volt box could be done the same way and no switch troubles by using these two items from MadVapes:

4 x AA Battery Box

....................... wait a second....... (still waking up here)..... Hoogie?....... Anyone?....... These also work in 3.7volt mods with small tactile switches? Not just 5 volts?

LDO 5 volt, 3.0 amp regulator with control pin!

or this also at 3.7 volts?

D2Pak, LDO 5 volt, 3.0 amp regulator with control pin

Hmm indeed.

Very nice pics/details.

But I wonder if MV is selling a different black 2XAA box these days, from the original pos switched smooth model as the description has changed and the pic seems wrong.
