Well, my goal for this was drop in, meaning no mods to the Reo, and reliable high power.

The heart of it will be a 5v AC/DC adapter capable of 4 amps of output. Most USBs only allow 2 amps max.

It will connect to the Reo Mini via a AAA to AA battery adapter and will be wired directly to the AC/DC adapter along with a 3.5a fuse for protection.

The wire will exit the squonk door.

Im sure it could work for ANY Reo!

One issue I already realized is the design of the Reo door wont allow you to install the "fake" battery with a wire attached and slide the door on...the wire would get in the way...so I ordered some micro high-current connectors from Deans that will allow you to connect the power to the "fake" batt once its in and the door is installed.

If I were to do this, I would want a place I could just plug in the cable on the side of the mini- I know it would mean a drilled hole, but maybe on the bottom- right under the spring (wouldn't be noticeable)- maybe a mini connector? Hmmm

My goal was to not modify the Mini in any way. You will need to remove the battery to do a pass-through with a Reo anyway. Unless you had some sort of circuit to stop the pt from charging the battery. Another thing is there isnt much space to install a connector on the Mini without making it a pure pass-through mod only. Installing a connector on the bottom would mean you couldnt set it down!

For me, this mod will be perfect. It will stay plugged in next to my spot on the couch

Got the AC adapter today. Its about 4x bigger than normal cell phone adapters. Hopefully its will provide the 4 amps it claims. One thing that concerns me is the label mentions a fuse of 2A, at this point Im not quite sure what this means. Is the unit only capable of below 2A? Only testing will tell!

Well, here it is. Everything went together perfect. I used a set of special high current mini connectors, a AAA-AA adapter and high current AC adapter. I planned on putting a fuse within the fake battery itself, but I skipped it on this one:(

Install is easy. Just put in the fake batt, stuff the connector between the bottle and batt, slide the door on, then connect and its good to go!

I filled a brand new Boge 3ohm cart for the first test. I was expecting either a huge cloud of vapor, or a puff of smoke from the adapter....what I got was the nicest, most flavorful, vape Ive ever experienced with the Mini. Testing showed a constant 5.04v under load with cart attached. My Kicked Grand has nothing on this!

And yes, I realize I soldered the connectors on backwards, the female should've went on the AC adapter side, Oh well. I was in a hurry!

The fuse can handle more than 2amps for your application. The "T" in the T2a is because it's a timed fuse (slow blow) it can handle a certain % for certain amounts of time before it blows. Like 200% for x among of time, 300% for x amount of time and so on. So it can handle higher max loads for certain durations as apossed to a standard fuse that (quick pops) at a designated max amperage.
