Does not work with anything but cartos, which I dislike. I've tried tanks, every kind of atty you can name. There is no flavor. The ego beats it straight up. It's a pain sending it, & at your expense I have sent it back to Provape, they said they found nothing wrong with it, that I could send it back again. But it was likely user error. I feel as though I threw money in the street, along with all the time spent emailing them. I believe this unit must have been built by someone who wasn't feeling well.

Flavor is dependent on you atomizer + the right voltage setting. Comparing the voltage setting of a Provari vs an Ego, the Ego outputs higher voltage than what you set on full charge and lower than what you set at the end of it's battery life. A Provari will give you the exact voltage shown on the LED from fresh battery till it quits. Yes, it is most likely user error, play with the voltage settings more till you find your sweet spot.

Can you provide more information on the other juice delivery devices that you have tried on the Mini besides the carto?

What ohm resistances are you using on these?

What devices did you prefer with the eGo?

Any additional information that you can provide might be helpful. I find it strange that you can not taste any flavor. What did you not like about carto's?

Carts are noisy, & I feel like I'm smoking a fake cig (like the ones when I was a kid, & some sort of powder was exhaled).
Today, I went thru my questionable atty box, tried one, with no markings & I'm getting great results.
Like taking your car to the mechanic, once you say something, it doesn't happen anymore.
I'm hoping that's the case, but have no idea what type of atty it is
Haven't been able to get a tank to work yet. Even got the hole punch, all that did was misshapen the atty, rendering it useless.
Got a Dremel, but have to get another adapter for the 1/16 bit.
Thank you for your responses, I really appreciate it.

I'm running Smotek pre-punched carto's on my mini, 1.5 ohm DC's (not my favorite) at 4.2v and having great luck with them. Last night my taste changed and I kicked it up to 4.6v to get more TH from it.
I haven't tried punching yet, I've heard it's a bit of a pain to get right and not go to deep. Maybe you are going to deep and flooding them? Maybe even damaging the atty, as I know some brands are prone to this?
The only problem I've had is when I use an adapter to run 808 carto's on mine, and that's the adapter, not the Provari, fiddle with it some and it's happy again.
Sorry you are having problems, hope you get it sorted out! The more I use mine, the more I'm beginning to really appreciate it and what it does.

It could have to do with your voltage/resistance combo which ultimately dictate watts. A higher voltage/resistance combo will result in the same power/watts than a given lower volt/resistance combo but may be cooler and not heat out or mask flavor production. Vapor production at the same watts but different voltage may be the same, but flavor not necesarily.

Another possibility is the loss of the ability to detect flavor (a common phenomenon with vaping, it can come and go.) I went months not being able to detect flavor and my wife's taste buds (on my same rig) went nuts with joy.

May be sort of like comparing a casual drinker to a lush. The casual drinker is a cheap date. The lush won't even feel the affects that would put casual drinker on his face.

LOL, so how long you been vaping? Are you a cheap date or a lush? :D

If you have been punching your own cartos with your carto tanks, I'd order a few laser-drilled cartos to try before giving up on a tank setup. As Sawlight alluded to, punching your own cartos can introduce a whole shrew of human error issues all to themselves. The pre-punched/laser-drilled cartos will provide consistancy carto to carto to remove that factor from the mix. I recommend the following as my favorite laser drilled cartos for my own tanks:

Single Coil XL Tank Cartomizer for the SmokTank XL

Also ensure that you are pre-filling the carto adequately before putting it into the tank. (An additional tip I came up with is to put a wood tooth pick into the air hole when filling the cartomzier.) Follow the steps in the following video demo:

Quit date 12/6/10, tho I've fallen off the wagon several times, due to frustration.
I really thought the Provari was the answer, & the angels would sing upon the 1st vape.
Guess I'm lushy, like my cloud & lots of flavor.
The hole punch was a nightmare, so I got the Dremel, hate shopping this time of year, but have to get an adapter.
The hole punch may work if you can find a really pointy screw, the one that came with it, not great.
Of course, as I said, running like a champ now, for the 1st time since May when I purchased it.
