I had a Hana DNA 30 for about 9 months. One day I was at work and I smelled something burning, like burnt plastic. I looked over and smoke was pouring out of the usb port of the Hana. (it was not plugged in at the time) I thought the battery was venting so I grabbed it and ran outside. Once it stopped smoking, I picked it up and opened it up. The battery was fine, but the wire that was attached to the usb port had melted. Fast forward a few months to a few nights ago. My Vapor Flask V2 stopped taking a charge. I'd plug the cable in and the light wouldn't come on. I came home from work last night and set it down on the table. About a half hour later, i heard a crackling sound. Looked over and smoke was pouring out of the tank. I grabbed it and took the tank off, and the screen kept flashing "check atomizer" as if it were still trying to fire. I clicked the fire button a few times and it wouldn't stop. I took the batteries out and this one also smelled like burnt plastic. Just for the hell of it, I let it sit for a while, then put a fresh set of batteries in. It immediately started firing again.
I plugged these mods in every night to charge and I'm using two wall warts, one with two ports (1 amp and 2.1amps) and another with one 1 amp port. I usually use both of the 1amp ports, but may have used the 2.1 amp port at some point. Would that cause this? Something else? Or did I just get unlucky with these two mods?
