My Posts Missing or Changed? (Upgrade Issues)

After the database issues (possible upgrade?) this morning I've found that the area for 'My Posts' is missing.

I have flushed cache on Chrome but will try again however it seems missing and now all I get is a 'Activity Stream'.

While that is a nice function I really, REALLY enjoyed going to the My Posts area and seeing all those posts that I had communicated it so I had a quick way to easily check if any threads that I've participated in were updated or additional replies were posted.

Is this in error or has something changed?

It looks like this feature has been changed, and perhaps eliminated. At least I can't find it either.

Yeah what the hell is up with that ? That's the first thing I usually do when I log in to ECF to keep track of the threads that i participate actively in. I hope that it comes back.

Yes, I've seen in the past where this feature has come and gone or disabled at times for work or issues so I'm hoping it comes back

Will navigate the hard way (lol) for now and hope it returns.

Yep, that's the way I mainly navigate when I first hit the site, "What's New" and then "My Posts"... I feel lost now LOL!!

We can subscribe to threads we're interested in keeping track of, which may have advantages over the "My Threads" link anyway, since I sometimes want to continue to track threads I haven't commented in, and don't always care about threads in which I have...

... But I do hope it's not gone for good, and don't think I much care for the "Activity Stream", which is very Facebooky and offers too much verbiage for quickly navigating through stuff that is not necessarily relevant to you.

wish I read this before I posted on the topic....anyway the only problems with subscribing is that if you don't log in for a few days you stop getting email alerts from the forum.

I'm noticing a my thread and my post button that works under the main tool bar...that works for now. what about the classes? not that I should be going there anyway

Since the "what's new" thread was closed, I'll repeat my post here:

Being thrust into Activity Stream when I click on What's New? seriously impacts the usability of ECF! What's New? is how I navigate through this monstrously large forum.

Please repair or restore the What's New? function!

the "my posts" button on the main bar is a start (whew! ), is there anyway to tweak it so we have the option of getting the results as threads rather than individual posts?

never mind...i just found the "my threads" button

...now to train myself to click on the right side of the tool bar rather than the left

To get the "My Posts" search results:

Go to "Advanced Search"

Select the checkbox for "Posts"

Under "Search For", go to the "User Name" text box and enter your user name

Under "Additional Options" - "Sort Results By"; select "Date" and "In Descending Order"

Click on the "Search Now" button in the 'Additional Options' area.


Bookmark (add to Favorites) this search result, rename it to "My Posts" and you'll never be without this beloved ECF feature
