Hey guys and gals;
First off these are my opinoin and mine alone...
This is a full review on Imeo's new GOLDEN GG. I call it "GOLD DROP" ... I recieved it 3days ago. And I did pay for it + shipping; so this isnt something I got for free... I was lucky enough to have Imeo make me be the first reviewer...

At first, I was thinking what the heck is this... But, please understand I'm coming from a GGTS. I asked myself ... why would my greek friend Imeo make such a mod ??? Totally preplexed, it finally dawn on me what this was. When I started thinking from a manufacturers stand point.. Its a dripper and strickly for people that think 1) they are content at dripping 2) Like GG products but cant imagine dropping the dime on a GGTS and its associated upgrades 3) Imeo made it for a wider audicence 4) and made it to be so easy to use a rookie vaper can use it as a first ecig.

I tore Gold Drop apart and its less complicated as the GGTS only having 5 major pieces... So that answers the naysayers saying that GG products got too many parts... And depending on the price I think Imeo can reach alot more customers with this product...

Ok I'm done with my thoughts... Now for the review...

I recieved the package from VaporKings.com (thanx Rob and Michelle for being the middle man) and quickly torn the package apart... And examine the new Golden GG aka Gold Drop... I took apart and the components on it are 1) Brass Top with a 901 thread 2) a brass main tube battery housing 3) all brass GGTS v2 style button 4) brass bottom piece 5) center post with a spring... So just like all the GG's I've encountered all its completely mechincal, so no electrical switch to go bad...

Finished with my disection, I grabbed some cr123 and vaped with HV901 atty at 6volts... It vape comparable to my V1 GGTS with a AFS V2... Nice plumes of smoke and TH and warmth... Its a solid design and has less complexity compared to a GGTS and has absolutely no learn curve... Other than the lock button design, which any ecig rookie would understand...

Its thickness and size is comparable; if not just a tad smaller than my old prodigy v3 minus the love and hate of a bottom button... Feels solid in your hands, like a solid single piece mod would... It feels great even if you got big hands like mine. The Gold Drop has nice weight to it, might be alittle lighter than my old prodigy v3, if not the same... Its small and will also work with the AFS V2, which I tested as well...

Its small enough to be palmed in one hand, once again when I say solid this could take a 2ft to 3ft drop into a hard tile floor and not have a scratch. Its robust but elegant enough to be taken out and used when in a tie and suit affair...

But I did find myself going back to my GGTS with the AFS V2 and the one with the AVS because of the easy of the autofeed system. And I also found myself using Gold Drop with my AFS V2, with this it just feels good in my hands because compact size...

So, there you have it... Solid Single piece mod great versitility with battery options... Can be 3.7volt, 6volt, or 7.4volts ... Only 901 threads right now but with adapters can be used with different atties... Now if you can afford to get this on top of your GGTS, I would add it to a collection of beautifull GG works of art. But, this is a definite must buy if you cant afford a GGTS but want almost the same versitility ... Now would I keep Gold Drop in my collection, the answer is yes only if I can find another AFS V2 to attached to it... Thats because I would rather autofeed than drip...vThis would have been or should have been my first mod... And thats my 2bits...

EXCUSE the fuggly pics I only have my HD2 as a camera because my Nice point and shoot is in a million pieces since I dropped it on my vacation in Philippines in April...

Very Nice review and ofc a very nice product from Imeo. But, I am kind of curious as to why Imeo went back to the design of the bottom cap with the vent holes on the bottom instead of the sides?

My guess is less expensive to make.... I think this is supposed to be a more affordable option for some.

So this is a rcr123a mod. How tight are the batteries and what batt do you need for 3.7v? 17670? What material is this made from? Is this brass or gold? Nice pics. We have been asking imeo to make the grant for some time and looks like he is working on the prototypes and about ready to ramp up production. I am not that interested in a brass mod though because of all the cleaning it is going to need. I stayed away from the brass slim for the same reason. Here in Fl brass things tarnish about ten minutes after I walk out the door.

I don't see that taking a 18650. It might take the 17670.

i agree, and those tenergy lifepo4's are slightly smaller in diameter than the AW versions, but if he's experiencing some jiggle room in there then maybe just maybe he can squeeze in an 18650. a 17670 is still a solid all day battery though, but an 18650 pushes two.

I'm also using AW 16340 lifepo4's ...
