Thanks everyone!

I haven't stripped the green cap & tip yet....

I don't DIY & Pluid is so hard to get. I can't even get the page to load sometimes. Is there anything special way to get it, like certain time of the day or something? I signed up for stock notification but never get any emails (unless they are hitting my spam folder)

I'd like to find a better absinthe too, has to be all VG though. Any suggestions? Been looking at MTB's.

I managed to score some Pluid at VapeExpo (I think it was Vapor Trail that had it) and to be honest...I couldn't taste the anise (my vaping buddy could though). I liked it...but all I could taste was the citrus...lime I think. Hmmm...haven't tried it in my Reo though...

I like MTBs but I had to get a double shot of flavor. It's my all day vape though...very sweet. I have to change it up with some menthol throughout the day or I can't taste the licorice flavor (but then again...my taste buds are shot). Might go for a triple shot on my next order. What I like about MTB is I can vape it right away...no steeping required.

I got mine from VAPINGWATCH during their last drop. The time/date was announced on their FB page and here on ECF about a week in advance. I just made sure I was signed in and I got it without a problem. :)

If you DIY, try this. My PC Grand is dedicated to it (and occasionally, Pluid). Start with 6-8 drops per 30 ml (I use 50/50 24 mg) and go up from there. I'm liking 10 drops so far.

I've been eyeing their products for diy but the site is very confusing. In the FAQ section they say "we can not recommend our flavors for this use" meaning for inhalation in ecigs. Yet is seems that is exactly what they make it for. One of their flavors contains Vitamin E. Is that ok to vape? I'm new to diy and have made some juice that I'm happy with with flavors from another company. I'd like to try some from Flavor Apprentice but, sheesh, some of what they say worries me.

I hadn't noticed that, but I went to their site for specific flavors, and those may not have had that warning. I'm not sure I'd vape Vitamin E into my lungs without further research. I guess one big advantage I have is coming from the cigar and pipe world, so I don't inhale into my lungs anyway. I've also enjoyed some flavors from Flavor Arts of Italy.

New mod, new coil, might as well. Here's a R41 coil (courtesy of pdib, thx!) @ .99Ω. The guys weren't kidding when they said it's harder to work with. Reminds me of smoking Mild 7s (Japanese cigs).

Hopefully I can work this wire better.

I use Flavor Apprentice and love what I have bought. Yes, they cover their butts with disclaimers. But they also go into more detail on their products than any other site I have seen.

LorAnn has good flavors also. Those are my go to places to buy. I have not yet tried the concentrate flavors. Right now I am fully stocked and waiting till I use what I have.

I do not do additives. I also use marshmallow or cotton candy for sweetener if needed. I find the bavarian cream and vanilla cream usually give enough sweetness with a fruit flavor.

Thanks for the info! Order placed.

What's the bottom line on R41? Should we all switch?

Well.. I discovered that I may be sensative to Nickel in my wire. I had decided that I preferred the taste of Kanthal over Nichrome but when I tried the Rene wire it gave me a terrible sore throat. I am on the fence as to whether or not to experiment with it some more. The flavor and vapor density are pretty outstanding, so I'd love to learn the soreness was a coincodince of some sort but I don't think it was.

Well, I might as well throw in my 2¢. The idea here was to have some fun and try something different. Those of us who have tried it seem to agree that it provides a smoother/milder vape. Its a sniddle better, IMO. Try it if you want a fun challenge. It ain't gonna change the world. :)

Well, that right there tells me it ain't for me. I like a rip roaring nuclear bonfire type of vape.

But seriously, what makes it smoother/milder. It is because it doesn't get as hot or heat up as quickly as the others?

that's just the part that we ALL agree on, so far. Most of us also think it's more flavorful; and, that, in not tasting the wire, we are getting more flavor. "what makes it"? . . . . dunno.

As far as rip roaring nuclear bonfire . . .. . here's my 0.5Ω build. I would describe it as just that. (it was suggested, demonstrated, by Xobeloot)

This 0.4Ω jobber weren't nothin' to sneeze at either . . .

here, at .6-.7Ω, I guess we could use the term "smooth" . . .

Wow! the 0.5Ω build looks positively medieval. It's strange and oddly fascinating to look at.

I'm all about the flavor so I may have to try some 41.

Stat, regarding the sore throat, could something have gotten into your wick. It's happened to me before and I think it might have been a tiny piece of paper towel.
