It sounds to me like your battery shorted out.

I was rebuilding the EVOD last night and the wire can definitely short you out - sometimes they even get intertwined, and an eGo type batt may suffer unrepairable damage from that.

Have you tried plugging the battery back into the charger?

Do you have any other battery? Its usually good to have a solid and protected device like a VAMO (can be had for $30, not much more expensive than an eGo) for a fail safe backup.

If you really have no other options, PM me. I have a Warrior mod that is basically a large eGo so it fits your evods and mt3, using replaceale 18650 li-ion battery and has short protection. Just let me know shipping address and i can give it to you for free, just cover the shipping for me. i dont use it anyway and its not that good an item to be worth a sale.

I didn't plug my black battery (battery #1) back in. It is working now. My blue battery (battery #2) I did plug in and the green light on the charger came on in less than an hour. Just checked blue battery and it is working now as well. Is rubbing alcohol on a cleaning pad of some sort bad to clean with? I am seeing some juice in the threading and below and need to clean this out. I will start with toilet paper.

That is VERY generous of you to offer me that battery! These two having started working again and I am going to get the black one fully cleaned (the blue one is fine). If something happens and they go out I will pm you then? I don't want to take something if I don't need it.

When I do have the money available, I will look into getting a "fail safe" battery. Is that one that only take disposable/rechargable batteries? Haven't looked many places yet but so far the vamo is around $50.

sounds like that is not the model for you. i would go for a different unit. mechanical or upgraded V/V. no price is to big to remain cig free. and never charge your battery's unattended. with all the misery in Boston, we don't need to add to the national paranoia regarding potential explosive devices. it would not bode well for users of e-cigs.

Definitely no explosions please! I can upgrade later, now is not an option though. I just purchased this kit and started vaping on 4/6.

Did you get any extra coil heads with the evod? They are about 1.20 to 1.50 a peice and some people even rebuild them

I was going to get extra heads but mvs was out when I ordered my starter kit and extra clearos. I figured 4 different clearos would be enough to get me by for a month but not much luck with that.

Honestly when stuff like that happens just commit and buy a new kit and start fresh.

After 11 days of vaping and $87 startup? Unfortunately I would probably go back to analogs for awhile. I am doing everything I can though to make these work :) If all else fails I have BLU cartridges to use for the time being as long as the battery stays alive.

I bought a stainless steel Vamo from China for $37.00 incl delivery. Took 2 1/2 weeks for delivery. Bought Panasonic batteries- 4 X 18650 X 2250 mah and 2 X 18650 mah batteries from Hong Kong for $40.00 del incl. Took 11 days for delivery.
Or a Vamo starter kit with 2 X 18650 batts, stainless steel tube and charger for $37.00- realize the batts and charger are not the best.

I had a similar issue with my setup. Have 2 400 mah spinners. First night I had em tried to fire one off,and the light was blinking, changed to my second battery, worked for a bit then, battery blinking. Got home tried a blu carto, worked fine on both. As far as I can tell, what happend was I had the spinner set a bit too high a voltage for the heads I was using. I had burned out two heads before I realized this. I don't think its your batteries. Im guessing they have protection against shorts,to a point. Try lowering your voltage when you get in new heads? I have a 2.4 ohm on now,and im firing it off at only 3.8v,which may seem a little low but I haven't had the issue since. Hope this helps.

p.s. I always keep a carto in the car now,so I have a backup at work just in case. If all else fails you, maybe keep a few disposables around so you don't have to go back to the stinkies?

Rubbing alcohol is good to clean outside things with, but you dont want it anywhere that can seep into the juice.

I have heard of the T3 leaking profusely, so if the problem persists discard it. Or at least have your husband look it over and fix the leakage.

What you have right now is really fine for a couple of months for sure. A fail safe battery is just good to have because its, well, fail safe. In the future, have your husband look into rebuilding coils as well - i built 5 last night for all my Evods and Protanks, and everything took less than 15 mins. Im sure a tech guy could do it even faster - im incredibly theoretical (theoretical math and philosophy degree - what are you gonna do lol) and its still really easy for me. And its so cheap - literally a penny per coil.

And sure, its a standing offer for the mod. To anyone in this kind of situation, really. Like what, 30 bucks to help someone and their family breathe cleaner air? And i can win that back at poker; suckers are everywhere. Im all in lol.

I spent countless amounts of cash on disposables and cheaper 808s and 501s before I ended up moving to mods and such. Nowadays, vaping has moved more mainstream, and its easier for folks to start-up with better kits. I'm sure ur spinner is fine, as most of the time it seems that cartos and clearos seem to be the problem with mis-fires. Try switching to different tanks, as I have had with experience, that kangers just don't last and CE's are decent, but just don't last. Vivi's seem to last the longest out of the replaceable head tanks to me, and they can be had pretty cheap.

I agree with the others here. The 3 main components of vaping are:
Battery
Delivery Device
Juice
Batteries are working and juice seems fine. Seems the problem is with the delivery device is is easy and inexpensive to resolve. Buying another PV without resolving the delivery part of the PV won't help.
Tried searching for vendor nearby but no luck.

Are the ones from China legit? If any AA rechargeable battery will work I have 6 sets of 4 that I use in my kid's leap pads and three wall chargers. All I would need to do is get the vamo/etc.

Same issue here. I stuck a BLU carto on it and it worked fine. After that the original clearo I was trying to use worked fine as well. I actually turned to voltage down to the minimum 3.3 thinking maybe I needed to do that to unlock the battery and still got nothing till I put that BLU carto on. I'm hoping it was just an issue with the battery not being completely clean.

If I don't take the clearo off, how long before I should take it off to clean it? Ex. - I've had liquid in a clearo for 2-3 days before it was gone and needed to be cleaned (I filled the T3 almost to the max line and vaped between that and another clearo with a different flavor for about 3 days).

So if a clearo head is burnt out the battery will flash?

And I keep a BLU carto in my purse now in case of emergencies. :)

I do have to say though, I miss hubby paying for my smoking habit instead of me paying for my vaping habit. lol He's not very supportive. He won't even try vaping.

They have to be 18650 High Drain Unprotected Batteries or 18350 High Drain Unprotected Batteries (smaller stealth mode) . I got the 3400 mah because the Vamo does drain the batts quickly. I've had my Vamo for 2 1/2 weeks and no problems. Apparently there are 2 separate manufacturing facilities for the Vamo. Mine has a CE logo on it BUT is not properly aligned as per the What is CE Marking (CE mark)?
Funny thing is some of the Vamos from U.S. and U.K. Vendors have the same incorrect logo.

Hubby unfortunately knows nothing about PVs, how they work, or what the parts are for/do. I would hate to ask him to fix something in fear that he will be even more negative about me vaping. I am pretty good with electronics/electrical myself though (probably why we click). I took a computer tech class in high school and learned how to take apart a computer and build it from the ground up. I know how to make a CAT5 cable, splice wires and fix them. I even installed a ceiling fan in my daughters room (and got my behind chewed out for it lol). At 5 I was hooking up my snes through my vcr to my TV so I never had to unplug anything. What can I say i'm an electronic freak. :offtopic: Anyway lol I've always been able to do/fix anything as long as I can look at a tutorial/you tube video. I just need to organize all of the information I need to use.

I am very interested in learning how to rebuild coils. In time i'm sure i'll be an expert/veteran at all of this. I'm always all or nothing when I start something. I'm gonna do it right or not at all. I research thoroughly/ask questions and know every detail of what I am dealing with. After this semester is over I will be able to spend more time learning all of this. For now i'll try to keep it simple. Thanks for the info!!

VAMOs are from China. Matter of fact a very large portion of vape devices are from China. And, sorry to America, but a lot of the times they make them better and wayyyyy cheaper. Just the way it goes.

AA batts are too week for the VAMO or any other mods really. But no worries, top quality Panasonic 18650 batteries can be purchased for $5 a pop. And those things are quite monstrous - 2250mAh translates to around 22 hours of vaping. In your case (it sounds like youre a light vaper) each battery could last 50+ hours.

Burnt head doesnt necessarily cause shorts so no the battery wont flash. But you ll know right away from the horrid burnt silica taste and lack of vapor.

I saw somewhere the VAMO sells for $27. Lemme see if i can find it again. $27 is the price of an eGo Twist.

Liquids can stay in clearos for a long time without going bad or damaging anything. Give it a little shake and twirl if you pick it up after 2-3 days though, the wick is probably dried up.

Closest vendor that may have parts is about 2 1/2hrs from here. There is a vendor that sells juice about 25-30min from here but i'll have to call and see if they have parts. I doubt they do though since it is a "smoke shop" that deals mainly in tobacco products and not ecigs.

Sounds like youre a fast learner. After 1 month of vaping i was already vaping exclusively rebuildables - its easy enough to learn, and im sure youll get it really soon. Youtube is an incredible source of tutorials - any rebuilding you can look it up there. Once you build your first coil (for anything, really - EVOD is a good start) you can pretty much deduce how all this works and from then its a cake walk.
