Have you tried Balkan from NET.com? I know you haven't done Apache yet since you said you haven't tried MOV.

Curious how MB stacks up against Balkan.

I keep Balkan on hand at all times. It is excellent and a very nice representation of a Balkan pipe blend. I get the sense that it is ever so slightly just a smidgen lacking in depth/body...which actually is a common characteristic of a few of Clay's juices. I go extra extract on Big Spirit, Black Cherry, and Mango Vanilla for instance...though i think I overdid it and ruined MV. Which remind me, hey cherry, have you tried NETCOM Black Cherry? If not I have some with extra extract you are welcome to try.

Balkan v Maple Burley? That is a weird question. They aren't alike in any way really. Balkan typically is a blend of Macedonian and Black Sea tobaccos with Latakia and Virginia. To my understanding Maple Burley is straight burley and maple. If you are talking about the tobacco punch between those two I still think MB has more of a punch. There is nothing else quite like those A+ aros. Balkan is all tobacco, but typical to a Balkan it is a bit dry plus, as I stated, that smidgen of a smidgen of an ever so smidgen lacking in body IMHO.

Hey, Dusty, I had totally forgotten you and I were both using the DID at the same point and both having issues getting tobaccos to "shine" with it. Sometimes, depending on the thread, it can feel like another galaxy. Did you keep up with it? I never really did end up liking gennys with tobacco.

Nope..too much drama with gunking, flavour corruption, burning, dry burning etc etc. Great for Non-Nets and Artis, but not so for any NET worth it's weight in salt.

I can't get the HEAVY HITTERS to work with anything other than just dripping.

I thought you went to strickly Kayfun for a chimney (I've been looking forward to use the term chimney).

I am not afraid to admit this...and it is true. I love my tank on Treebeard and he only tolerates Maple Burley. So I run MB through Ikenvape cartos...and almost never have a problem.

Nope, no Latakia. I personally don't find the tobacco part of any of the flavored aros as strong as BGB or DD, especially Vurley, Peach, and Cherries with the strong other flavor combining with the tobacco. That's my take though, some notice much more of a tobacco kick on those three than I do.

Speaking of a tobacco kick, I'm in the mood for one. I've been rockin and rollin with H1, Shipwreck, Caramel Wild Wood, Sahara, plus some TINOs and artis. Sooo.. let's see, Maple Burley or BGB...... or maybe an English blend extracted by Bill................. choices choices, maybe I'll set up 3 mods lol.

Thanks Jerms! Enjoy the vaporgy there :)

I have and it is why my heavy hitters are sitting collecting dust.. :)

Maybe I should work out a deal with BJ and send him all my well steeped Balkan and Apache, and get him to order and send me some "light weight" Ahlusion stuff.

You only bought like 10 gallons of Balkan. Good grief.

PM me if there is stuff you can trade for some Ahlusion stuff. I am getting read to make an order with Wlad.

It's an idea. Ahl's non-aros are very clean and taste great in the Kayfun. I've done Smooth Crim, Caramel Wild Wood, and Sahara Blend in my KFL with no prob.

I am almost positive that YCY was being funny more than anything since Legend is not officially a "cherry tobacco." Some of you may remember that HHV initially claimed (don't know what they say now) that there was no other "flavors" in Gandalf (Legend) but "tobacco." Obviously tobacco can be dressed up so to speak, but Legend is not officially labelled as anything other than pipe tobacco. It is also interesting to go back and read all of the first reviews of Gandalf to see that "cherry" was never mentioned. I am not saying that it isn't the case now, but I think it's interesting. There was talk of "chocolate" quite often, or even "Toostie Roll," but "cherry" started popping up later after all of the Gandalf/Legend revisions. Hell, I never even remember seeing "maple" associated with Huntsman early on (Dusty was the first I saw mention it later), but now that's all I taste in Huntsman (as far as the main "other" flavor).

I guess my point is that we may taste maple in Huntsman, or cherry in Legend, but until it's disclosed it's just going to be "pipe tobacco."

I didn't associate maple with Huntsman, either fresh or well steeped. Woodsy, sweet tobacco yes, maple no. I believe others that they taste it though, it's the same how I taste a definate cherry in Legend and some don't taste cherry at all.

My HHV order (Legend, Heavenly Army, and Huntsman) had a distinctive aroma to it when it first arrived. I think they sent me a fresh batch. The smell was powerful and everlasting once it tickled the nose, or got on your fingers. All three were tested that night. Heavenly Army had a strong cinnamon taste, but was very good. Legend had a strong cherry taste. Can’t recall what Huntsman tasted like; but however, it was good.

I realized they all needed some alone time, and set them all on my shelf with the lids loose for about 2 weeks. I shook them vigorously once a day while keeping the lids barely on them.

Heavenly Army has now turned into an awesome tobacco flavor. Whatever cinnamon taste was there before has completely mellowed out. I don’t get it now. All there is now, is a very good tobacco note that dominates. This has turned into an outstanding flavor. I love it.

Legend still has a cherry note, but a mellow cherry note I might add. It’s not a strong perfumy, fake cough syrup taste like some juices has. It’s a delicious Cherry (probably Cherry Cavendish like Jerms said) flavor that has blended really well with other components of the juice. A strong tobacco taste comes through with the cherry highlighting on exhale. I always think I’m holding a premium blended cherry cigar. The vapor is very thick, and the aroma wonders throughout the room very reminiscent of a billiards pool room. It’s very good, and will definitely want a second bottle when this one vanishes.

Huntsman is still steeping. I may give it another try next week.

In the same boat. I too have full 30ml bottles of Balkan (dated 10-5-13) and Apache (dated 8-10-13) that are sitting around. I've not tried them in a long time. Apache still smells really strong and Balkan has toned it down. Maybe I'll give them a try sometimes soon.

Really enjoying Heavenly's Army and Legend to much to change things out at the moment.

Edit: I really have to emphasize that HHV juice is VERY easy on the coils. I'm still using the same setup (AGA-T2, #500 SS Mesh, 30g Kanthal, MiniCoil wrapped 8x on 3/32 drill bit for 2.0ohms @ 4 volts). This juice is probably the easiest juice I've tried that does NOT gunk up coils.

Hmmmmmmmm, ok had to sneak in some BGB to compare the tobacco. First impression.. light and airy like the MB lolol. My reactions to the aros aren't to be trusted lol. For sure though, the impact of the tobacco is much closer than I expected, and BJ was spot on. I think the way the maple plays modifies it more for me instead of the tobacco in MB actually being light.

Off to run errands.. later NETers.

BJ, Grandpa's Nightcap is from Quicknic.

Oh right...see...there you go. Nothing to see here at HHV.

That's why the GNC was acceptable to you. I tried a few HHV juices, the two I liked were Legend and Pirates Booty but not enough for a re-order. I think HHV juices are better suited for those liking a Sweeter, Flavored light Tobacco, in my case I prefer my Tobacco to be in the Soul Attraction so they're not for me, but that doesn't mean they're not good for other Vapers.

On the occasional sweeter/ flavored Tobacco juice, I want Tobacco in the Spotlight, with the additional flavors complimenting the main attraction. For me these are done well by MOV, Ahlusion, QnC and VapeRite.

Update; GeJ Banana Montana has steeped ~7 days and the polish/ cleaner after-taste has vanished, Tobacco is a bit stronger but still slightly pushed back by the Artificial Banana flavor. I'll stick with GeJ for Vita Bella, Acadian Gold and Wild Turkey, though I haven't tried the Grasshopper I have in the Juice Box yet.

Jerms, did you ever try Smooth Smokey Joe from VX? I am really diggin' this arti. Actually, it is a great arti; so much so that I think this kinda liquid would suffice if I totally went away from NTs (there may be TA in this). When I vape NETs now, I basically only vape CO2 or steam distilled (macerated liquids are simple one-and-done, i.e., "can I hit that?").

Patriot is a pretty darn good Tobacco with a more complex flavor than the Acadian Gold and Wild Turkey, which are a more straight-up Tobacco flavor.

Patriot was awesome, but I don't think it would work well in the KFL either..

Yeah it's in my rotation and I like it a lot. Doesn't have the bite of lab artis nor the tang of Chinese tobaccos. It's more in the style of TINO, but I wouldn't call it that because it does taste like tobacco to me. Smooth Smokey Joe is a very solid artibacco that I highly recommend.

That one and their R-YLD-4 impressed me. I have Vanilla Sky Tobacco Road, Coumarin Pipe, and Cardamom Cigar on my list to try. Morning Orchard from them sounds interesting too, creamy peach and fresh coffee???? May just be crazy enough to work.
