Technically, kinda, but I wouldn't bet the farm on that.

I've written about this on one of the home extraction threads.
The "throw" of the plunger is stopped about half an inch from the bottom of the flask. That's just about perfect for filtering macerations with 1/2 to 1 ounce of tobacco, as it allows pressing the solids to release much of the absorbed solvent, but with no danger of cracking the bottom of the borosilicate glass carafe. Use care and common sense in how hard you press down on the plunger, however. I mean, don't hit the plunger with a big hammer or anything silly like that. A good, firm squeeze on the plunger is all that's required to release much of the absorbed liquid from the solids.
I went on your recommendation and ordered a sample pack from HHV (Dark Horse, Legend, Shadow, Dragons Fire). With names like those there has to be a chosen one! Analog from Gej is amazing but i am looking for something cleaner on coils. Do you think they will ever improve on that downside?Nothing at HHV will be similar to GeJ's Analog. Totally different style and flavor of juice. HHV is the patisserie of NET vendors (line stolen from Bill) with sweeter, dessert tobaccos while GeJ is more authentic tobacco. The most cig/straight tobacco leaning offerings from HHV though would be Huntsman, Dark Horse, and Gaia.
I kind of disagree with this. I think you want the plunger to push all the way down and press out "the good stuff", just intuition but I like using my big stainless steel turkey injector. And really unless you are supplying a small amish community you don't need something the size of a French press![]()

So after receiving a lot of great advice on this thread lately, I figured I'd take one for the team and try Real Extracts, LLC. Firstly, let me rant about the price. What is it with these noob vendors thinking they can charge $1/ml for a brand new to market, untested by the public-at-large juice (RBFS excluded)? That being said, Real Extracts had a 4th of July sale where if you bought a 30ml of CowBoy, you receive 10ml each of their English, Turkish, and CowBoy Menthol for free, bringing the price down to a more reasonable $0.50/ml, so I bit.
First, let me talk about their shipping. I placed the order last Thursday afternoon, not expecting it to ship until today at the earliest after a long holiday weekend. I received the shipping notice email today and was pleased, but went home to find their package in my mailbox. That was ridiculously fast, going coast to coast over a holiday weekend and rivaling GeJ speed.
So I loaded up an Evod of CowBoy right out of the mail to test it out. The first couple of pulls reminded me of a GeJ-style NET, but after a couple of more, I could definitely make out some individual varietals, especially the Burley. Their site describes CowBoy as "our classic American blend of Burley & Virginia tobacco extracts in a 70PG /30VG base. Packaged in 30 ml PET bottles with a needle tip and child resistant cap. Our Virginia is a light yellow BRIGHT VIRGINIA with a natural light sweet taste.
Our Burley is a flue cured leaf, golden brown in color with a traditional rich hearty taste.
The two blended together give us the flavor of American cigarettes prior to 1975. Not too strong - It has a medium body with a slight hint of smokiness."
I definitely get the hint of smokiness, and it is a pretty good juice right out of the mail. Worth $1/ml remains to be seen, but I'm anxious to try the others. With each passing vape, it sort of reminds me of EtherVapes in its style, but lighter on the Virginia.
As a side note, I've now started not really liking being able to pick out the individual varietals in a blended juice. I'd rather have an experience like I do with GeJ, where it blends together into an indistinguishable, harmonious whole that leaves me wondering, but extremely satisfied.
Dusty, could you please do the same with Smug Juice (sold by Jersey Devil Vapors, among others)? I've really been digging their Hump and B(r)anded lately. Even though I'm going DIY soon, Hump has definitely earned a place in my rotation, and I plan to reorder it again, along with their RY4, which I've heard really good things about. Thanks.
EtherVapes has a new Honey NET, and I hope to be awesome Raspberry NET online... Gonna try some Honey in a few when it gets here.. Love me some Honey![]()
I don't think I've heard of Smug Juice, have they been mentioned in this thread yet? Can you give some more info on the flavor and performance of Hump and Branded?
Should I hold off on this for now?! Also folks, I'd like to think that I read and catch up on every single post in here, however I don't think that happens as much as I would want it to.
Please PM me if there's something that requires my attention and I'll get to it post haste. Kthxbai!
I think they can be added, looks like they are NET.
Done! Have you seen the Smugglers Line? Sweet tobacco blended flavours. Hmmm!

Absolutely. I might have mentioned them a few times, but haven't seen much else about them on this thread either. They're a semi-local vendor to me (NJ-based). I was initially turned off by their smug slogan, "It's That Good," but after desperately seeking a Turkish replacement for NETcom's Sun-Cured, I decided to give them a shot and discovered that they really are pretty good.
Their site describes Hump as "more than just your usual Turkish blend. Hump is made with a rare exotic Oriental Yenidje tobacco leaf blended with Virginia flue cured and aged Burley tobaccos, for a unique Turkish blend tobacco flavor." That description is spot-on. I definitely taste the Yenidje in the blend. The juice is a pleasant ADV and pretty good analog replacement. It has a nice toasted tobacco taste and produces some pretty big clouds with minimal effort. Gunking isn't too bad and comes off easily with a quick rinse and dry burn.
B(r)anded is described as "a rugged American blend. The combination of Virginia flue cured and aged burley tobaccos give you a smooth robust flavor." However, I think there's a pinch of black cav in there that gives it a touch of sweetness. It's another pleasant ADV that produces huge clouds, but it's a little sweet for me to be an analog replacement. It's a little gunkier than Hump, but not too difficult to burn off. All-in-all, a really good juice though.
They're a little pricier than I'd like ($20 for 30ml at Jersey Devil Vapors), but I think it's a quality juice I don't mind paying a little extra for.
I'd forgotten all about those. Maybe the $1 per ml price tag helped me forget quickly lol. Sounds like you got a good deal with the sale though, I would have bit too if I was buying at the time.
Thanks for trying them and reporting on them! If the Turkish stands out, I'm willing to spend a bit more for a really good Turkish.
