Owl Shop?! She's added more stuff to her line-up?!

Oh man..somebody stop that woman!!

I only found it because of the brand name category... I hadn't seen it before so I looked in there. I've got a sample of the extract also... but I haven't got bottles to mix any up with yet.

I'm not a cigar person... but I think she had an email about adding the new ones not long back and I'm pretty certain Mike posted about them here also...

I just ended up picking up 240ml of premixed 8mg NIC to mix up some of the extracts I was gifted... @ 20% mix.. It will be about 6.4mg and at 25% it will be 6mg ... so it makes an easy mix without having to stock up on a lot of mix supplies ( since I'm not sure I want to go that way yet ). I also got some Drew Estate Heirloom Cherry pipe on your recommendation to someone else... and some Our RY4 to try out ( finally )

Gonna be in Magma/Origen heaven tonight as I try these out.

It took 6 tries, profuse profanity and a partially un-spooled roll of Kanthal but I managed a single coil build on the Magma clone. 28 ga on 5/32" bit with rayon wicking. Many, many things not right with it but, it worked and I didn't zap myself or the cat. Badly spaced coils, wicking was too short to fill the other side of the tank. Read 2.1 on the meter, 1.9 on the Sigelei 20W. Flavor was there although I'm still confused with the airhole positioning with the Magma.

Small parts. Fat fingers. Bad eyesight. Encouraging success.Trial and error. Will give it couple more goes tomorrow.

Onward through the fog.

p.s. MVJ's Dunhill Nightcap is a deeply comforting reward...

I giggled at this one and isn't it the progression that we all go through? So we drop the tiny screw, botch the wick, and forget to charge the spare battery. And then, oh my, it tastes really good and the nic buzz really satisfies. Vape on and share your learned secrets-- and it's alright, alright.

Yep, it's the little pleasures that get us through.

Keep on keeping on.

I also suffer from fat finger syndrome along with the eyes of a bat who lost its hearing. Makes coiling fun. lol. But seriously, that is kinda why I like the magma; easy to coil. My main problem with that rda is the coil positioning in regards to the air hole. It is a bit finicky at times and has to be just right or I get this super hot vape with little vapor. Kinda why I've been using the Origen more often. It is a little more difficult to build but not finicky at all. Also, only have to get the wick in there a little and then trim the end that goes into the well. The flavor is a little under that from a magma but I put a thinner drip tip on it and the taste improves. I also bought a coiling tool thing from tobeco which helps me as I use the largest tube; easier to wick.

By the way, my coils aint winning any beauty pageant either but I use a slightly spaced coil and usually comes out between 1.5-1.9; 8 wraps around the largest tube thing that came with that coil tool. That and kgd cotton for a wick; never tried rayon yet but I coil so little that I have not come close to using up the 20 or so pads I bought from my local vape shop. Just keep at it, you'll get it soon enough. Plus, you might even become an expert in the arts of profanity; life is good

The main thing that matters to me is flavor and even with my lousy coiling/wicking I got a good taste of some of the new ones from MVJ; Ashton Rainy Day is kickin .... thus far. Can't wait to see how it is in another month. Plus, my house smells like a pipe right now which I enjoy (not sure the dog does though, lol).

I tried two different raspberry tobaccos both of which had been aged for a month +. The taste of a real raspberry fruit is not very strong. It is sweet/tart and subtle. IMO the raspberry flavor in Red Dawn by EV is a sweet raspberry with the tobacco impact being mild. In contrast NET.com's Framboises et Vanille is a slightly sweet and tart raspberry flavor with the tobaccos coming through toward the middle. I like Framboises et Vanille more because it is more realistic to a real raspberry, is not overly sweet/tart plus it has more tobacco flavor than Red Dawn.

I'm vaping some Sutliff Burma Road today. In a Magma with a 1.8 ohm coil. This Cavendish, Virginia and Latakia blend makes for a pleasant mild vape. There is a hint of Vanilla and Rum. I was surprised at the flavor coming from such a mild English blend. The Latakia does not overwhelm the Virginia and the Cavendish is right up front. Good stuff, three and a half stars out of four, in my book.

I tried another attempt today. Same 28 ga. Meter read 1.9 ohm, Sigelei read 1.5. A few things I learned:

I really, really, need to lower my nicotine to do any dripping. After about 20 minutes I had beginnings of a headache and was a little queasy. I'll need to get a lower level before trying again.

Put in Ether Vapes Pure Burley and at the same time had it in a mini Naughty as comparison. Running the mini at 12.4 watts and the Magma at up to 16. The flavor profile was the same in both but much thicker and fuller with the Magma. It also turned very smooth and velvety and a little lighter at 16 watts. This is a fine blend and since I like so many of Vash's juices I'm really looking forward to trying others.

My coil looked a little better and positioned o.k. over the airholes but it was still badly spaced, tilted like a row of dominoes just about to fall over and one leg was longer than the other I'm guessing because it stated heating from one side instead of the middle. I need a lot more practice.

The vicking was better this time. Almost filled both sides with it and used the next to biggest single air hole. Plenty of flavor and vapor.

Feeling more encouraged and thinking about which way to jump next. Didn't think I'd ever attempt rebuilding but, I also swore I'd never give up books for Kindle. New tricks for an old dog.

Back to the Naughty with MVJ's Sutliff Private Stock Spinnaker. I wasn't really fond of this when I first tried it but I pulled it out again last week and have really been enjoying it. Sweet and light and smooth.

There was much less profanity used today.

It'll keep getting easier with practice. Rewarding too. Watch some rebuilding videos if you haven't yet.

Admiral's Pipe by River Bottom Fog Sauce (RBFS) available online at www.vapingwatch.com

The Juice: AP is an extraction of an aromatic pipe tobacco. It's a blend of Cavendish, Burley, and Virginia tobaccos with chocolate and vanilla notes.

The Hardware: Mech with Atomic dripper, 1ohm micro coil of 28ga Kanthal, Koh Gen Do wick.

Ratings are from 1-5 depending on where a juice falls in an attributes spectrum. Only the last rating, "overall", is based on 5 being the best. (For sweetness 1 equals very dry and 5 equals very sweet. For tobacco impact 1 equals very mild tobacco and 5 equals very aggressive and/or complex.)

Sweetness: 3.5. The strong Cavendish presence results in a pretty sweet juice with Admiral's Pipe. A fully natural and smooth sweetness provided by the tobacco and enhanced by the chocolate notes. Not quite as sweet as their Count Caramel, but close.

Tobacco Impact: 3.5. On the mildish side, but still a purely aromatic pipe blend flavor with moderate complexity. The Cavendish plays a much larger role than the Virginia and Burley for me, making up the bulk of the experience, while the other tobaccos fills out the flavor with some subtle complexities. Normally I'd say I'd prefer the Virginia to make more of an impact, but I won't since the blend plays perfectly as is.

Vapability: 5. I grab for this a lot, and always enjoy it greatly. Works great for long sessions without losing any flavor notes or it's charm.

Flavor Accuracy: 4. Tastes as described though the Virginia and Burley aren't as easy to spot as expected, but as I mentioned that's not a detriment to the experience. The chocolate and vanilla are done extremely well here. The chocolate is noticeable, but it shines as a great aromatic pipe blend by not being too chocolatey. Often it plays for me as a creamy chocolate, with the vanilla giving a milk chocolate feel. Other times it's more like a drier cocoa note, and at times reminiscent of hot chocolate.

Overall: 5. In the description, the creator Brian says he loves this juice, and so do I. It doesn't quite reach the magical heights of my favorite RBFS aromatic pipe, Pirate's Drunken Sweet Tooth, but for what it is it's about perfect and so very easy for me to reach for.
