Hello all,

I have an Eppendorf R5355 coming with a 4 x 50 ml thermal block. It has temp control and a range of 300rpm to 1500 (I think?). It also has temp control and you can program all kinds of mixing modes from -17c to 99c.

My question is does anyone know if using this device would work for making tabacco e-juice? This is a lab grade liquid mixer so I hope it can be done.

Many of my favorite vapes were quite challenging at first. Many that I loved immediately became boring rather quickly.

That happened to me a bunch when I first started on my NET journey. I would be blown away by something just because it was new and actually tasted like tobacco. Many Burley only blends did that to me. For instance, Fabulous and Burley was fantastic to me when I first tried it. Vaped most of what was gifted to me. Fast forward a little, I now find it boring and really wont touch it. Latakia blends were the same way; loved the smoke factor and could not get enough of them. Now, need to be in the right mood/frame of mind to get into them. Now a Virginia/Burley blend is always welcome and really don't have to be in mood for them. Same for Virginia only blends; just love em where I found them boring when I first started on this path.

Bit of Overkill IMHO. You don't want to go over 150F when heating the extract, at least if your using PG and/or VG. Filtering is pretty straightforward. It may come in handy for mixing up the actual juice though. Mixing your base and extract with a little heat may cut down on steep time. I'm Old School and I just let time do the job at room temperature. YMMV.

Uh-ho.

I have been storing some of my NETs in the fridge for about 3 months. These are mostly the liquids that are 6 months or older that I stored in the fridge just as summer started to get hot.

I sampled some 9 month old Drunken Pirate's Sweet Tooth from RBFS and some 5 months old Patriot from Goodejuice. I filled tanks with those bottles right out of the fridge.

I am finding both liquids have lost some sweetness and taste a little flat. Even after the liquid in the tank warmed up during the day it still tastes lack lustre and has lost its sweet edge. They tasted fine before I put them in the fridge. I now have grave concerns for the 50 or more bottles of NETs in the fridge, some which I haven't even opened.

The way Patriot and DPST are tasting is worrying. I stored my juices in the fridge to preserve them but now I fear I have done the opposite.

I have taken both bottles out of the fridge and will let them sit at room temperature and give them both some vigorous shakes and see if the flavours are restored.

Has anyone else had experience with storing pre-mixed Liquids in the fridge?

I've spent the last 6 months tearing my business apart, and putting it back together bigger and better. 1st off, I just moved into my new facility that is 10x bigger than my old one. 2nd, there will be no more exclusivity contracts for this guy; any B&M that carries RBFS will be able to sell it on their website. Prices will also be lowered a bit. We are working very hard to not have any down time for the availability of my Sauce.

Funny thing about your statement that you may stray from NETs because you've acquired a taste for custards... I'm premiering a new line this weekend at VapeXpo in Ann Arbor, MI. The name of the line is H.P.'s Miska-Tonics, and they are all inspired by the writings of H.P. Lovecraft. 3 are custards: Peppered-Orange Custard, Blueberry Lavender Custard and Bourbon-Barrel-Aged-Madagascar-Vanilla Custard. One is a tobacco (I had to do at least one!), but an oddball: Rum, Plum and Fig Pipe Tobacco. Then there is a Clove Blend trying to mimic a Djarum Black.

I'm hoping to have both lines on at least one website by the end of the month.

Black Note Cadenza: A Review

The Copy: From their website: Sun-cured, highly aromatic and mildly spicy, basma tobacco is considered by some tobacco experts to be the finest aromatic tobacco in the world. Grown exclusively in the mountainous area of Northeastern Greece known as Xanthi, basma has earned a reputation as the “king of tobaccos.”

The Rig: Vapor Flask Squonk; DNA40 w/temperature control; Mark Bugs Chalice III, 0.18 ohm Ni200 wire; 13 watts; 450 degrees
The Juice: Black Note Cadenza, 18mg/ml nicotine, 50/50 PG/VG
The Price: $29 U.S./30ml all shipping included ($0.97/ml)

The Verdict: Once again, the copy is spot on. Stated more familiarly, Cadenza is very reminiscent of a classic Turkish blend. If you've had N-E-Tcom Sun-Cured Turkish you know what to expect. However, Black Note's representation of the underlying basma tobacco is better here than in any other Turkish I have tried. There's the toasted flavor one would normally expect, the mildly spicy notes the ad copy claims, and an earthy - maybe better stated as a more robust and genuine - flavor. Cadenza is very well done. Whatever one may say about Black Note's price points and market presence, they clearly know what they are doing with NETs.
As always, taste is subjective, opinions are plentiful, the Devil abides in the details, and Hell exists in the fine print.

Got a bottle of GeJ Godfather again....what can I say, I've been obsessed with it for 2 days now. Absolutely awesome right out of the mailbox and even better than it was 2 months ago when I ordered it last time. If I could Id drink the stuff straight from the bottle and bathe in it.

On another note, I finally said screw it and drilled two juice holes into my subtank mini RBAs and they work much better now. And oddly enough the brand new minis have these holes, so kanger obviously realized the old design was not so good.

What holes are we talking about here? I've got a recent edition Subtank Mini and other than the fact that it has two air-flow holes vs the single on the original release, the inside is the same.

He is referring to the RBA section only... the original design, the juice ports into it, is sort of setup like a Kayfun ( no surprise ) others have enlarged those juice ports in the past. The newest RBA section ( comes in the new black or white Subox kit ) has larger juice holes on the side walls of the lower "chimney" section similar to what their factory coils have. PBusardo has a review of the Subox kit where there is small portion where he shows the differences of the original and newer RBA sections.

They ( all of the Subtanks ) are one of my favorites also for several reasons... Compared to the Atlantis, it's more efficient power wise and the flavor is a touch better ( IMO ) but the Atlantis is a touch better for clouds. The factory heads are very easy to maintain if you want to rebuild. To dry burn, slip the old wick out through the juice holes, dry burn and then slip new cotton in. A full rebuild is also pretty easy, build the coil and slip it in then use a 2.5mm rod to align it and put the 510 pin and insulator back on, then slip in the new cotton. The RBA deck is easier ( again, like a Kayfun ) to rebuild than the factory heads but not by a lot.

Agreed. I only use the RBA heads myself, with Rayon. Never bothered with the pre-built OCC heads. Running 0.5 ohm 26g at 20W, with 6mg, 50/50 Nic juice from HHV and MVJ

I need to get a couple RBA heads as spares. That's the only thing I'm missing from the kits I have.

You done with the KFL Dusty? I haven't been following the new tech, but wanting something different on the go. My KFLs are leaky lately, especially when exposed to big temp changes. If I wick it perfectly it's not so bad, but want something more foolproof. Hows the flavor compared to the KFL?

I've sold 4 of 5 KFL's. The last one is in my backup pouch along with my Provari Mini and neither have been touched in over a year. So, yeah, I think I'm done with the KFL's. It doesn't get easier or better than the Subtank Mini's for me dude. I've got a bunch of other RTA's (Aqua V2, ErlPrinz's, Lemo 2, Favotank) but the Subtank Mini's are the best combination of flavour and usability for me right now. Love them..

Just watched Busardo's review of the mini and nano. I like everything I heard except that even at 1 hole it's a pretty loose draw for mouth to lung. I imagine one could easily cover a hole partially with tape for a tighter draw?

I really want one. I like that it can be completely closed off. Winters here can cause leaky issues going from 20 below zero to room temp. Refilling looks so much easier too along with being able to get at the coil with a full tank. Very cool.

It didn't take me long to get used to the more open draw... but that is the first thing I think of when someone coming from something like a KFL as being possibly off putting.

The newer high power variable mods are almost a no brainer as long as the one being considered is a quality device. Today, many are now adding TC ( I call it temp limiting instead ) without it costing any more really... So even if that doesn't interest you now, it's still an additional bell/whistle that you may want to try later.

The other day I watched Busardo's vid on the Innokin Cool Fire 4 (first vape video I've watched in months). He mentioned something about Innokin talking about TC that will work with any wire, which would be cool. I lost interest in the DNA40 after realizing I'd probably hate rebuilding with nickel.

Soon I'd just like a good 30+ watt device. The CF4 from the vid seemed good, but I don't want a fixed battery. The VS with DNA30 is only $45 now, but again it's fixed batt.

Do you have a suggestion for a good VW device, affordable yet quality? 30 watts would be enough for me. I'd still use my 28ga Kanthal doing mouth to lung vapes, so don't really need much power. Also, I see 101 has the Subtank mini for $34, do you know of a better deal?

Jerms, I know you are looking for on the go, but as far as drippers, have you tried a Manta? I got one and I'm in love with it. Big atty that performs line a small atty. Super easy to build on and not too airy even wide open. Flavor is awesome.
