What I can get is only 151 proof. What is the maximum amount of water a liquid can contain before it becomes physically harmful to vape?

Everclear can be had at 95% alcohol. You may have to order it or your state may not allow it. I know some states considered that after a couple of urban legends rose about kids being killed by guzzling a whole bottle.

I'm not sure about the physical limitations of water in vape. After evaporating the alcohol and recombining with PG/VG it shouldn't be an issue. I've had a couple of PGA extracted juices. They didn't give me any problems besides the occasional abrasive feeling on my tongue. If done improperly adding alcohol to a juice's mix can actually close down my throat and chest. So, I would say that following Bill's advice or MFTom's advice should lead you into safe territory.

I am sensitive to alcohol and MFT's alcohol sun steep didn't bug me. El Toro's liquid had an alcohol taste to me (nobody else noticed it) and it nearly shut down my throat and caused crazy issues with my heart rate. So, I trust anything MFT would say on the subject.

HOW can I be the ONLY one who wants to riot in the steets at the loss of the AROS? What's WRONG with you people. Big Juicy, you're with my right? THE STREETS WILL FLOW RED!

(I'm just kidding of course)

(Sorta)

If I knew in advance, I would have bought a couple more 30's of Vurley and Maple Burley. But I'm not sure the Ahlusion aromatics story is over.

Given all the reports in recent weeks (longer?) that the aros just weren't coming out right anymore, this move does not really surprise me.

My heart does break for Jerms, however -- he's lost his Sweet Georgia Peach!:D

Water isn't harmful... its just makes it pop and sputter more with higher H2O content in it

The alcohol was never a concern, it is easy to air away. It's the heat (steam? and yes there was popping) that burnt the mouth that I want to avoid. That was a very unpleasant experience that I don't want to repeat.

The water content was my concern. I once cut a 100% VG with water and the vape was so hot that it burnt my mouth. Evidently the amount from the Everclear is well below the pain inducing threshold.

My 750 bottle of Everclear is 190-proof---95% alcohol. I considered buying vodka, which was much cheaper, but couldn't find any in the liquor store with an alcohol content higher than 40% (80-proof), and I knew I didn't want that. With the Everclear, I didn't even consider the water content, and the vaping experience of the two NETs mixed from the 90pg/10pga extract is completely normal, as far as I can tell.

LUCKILY for me I scored nearly 30ml of SGP in a trade recently, so my sweety will still be around for a while! I really like the Cocoa Blend that I have a bottle of too.
I will also miss the two Cherry mentioned, Vurley and Maple Burley. Those were just amazing, unique vapes. Devil Dog.... meh, Apache is too similar for me be sad about that one gone. I actually like Apache better anyways.

Wasn't aware of reports that the aros weren't coming out right anymore, but makes sense. That's obviously the case with this Smokin' Cherries as I've mentioned, it's a totally different juice now. Not sure if it'll even turn out to be vapable for me. SGP is exactly as amazing as before, thank baby Jesus.

Don't hold your breath. For my order placed on 4/7, it shows on the NETcom website that the order was shipped on 6/25. However, when I check the tracking number on USPS.com, it shows that just the label was entered on 6/25 and no further status. More fun and games from NETcom. At least the label got entered two weeks ago. I guess that's some progress.

It's pretty sad that when I want to check my order status on NETcom's website, when I click on the dropdown for orders placed in the last three months, my order doesn't even appear anymore and I have to select orders placed in the last six months. Now that's customer service.

Thank you NETcom for motivating me to start doing home extractions. For that, and that alone, I will forever be grateful.

Thank you guys for the update, I got up this morning and realised it's been over 3 months (Order placed 4/8) since I placed my order with NET.com, I thought to myself that I've been plenty patient its time to request a reversal from visa.

I checked their web site still said processing but thought I'd check out e-cig 1st for any updates, I would of never noticed the tracking number had been added to my order, sadly the same as you guys its only been entered ....

You can evaporate the water off... it just takes longer than alcohol

All over the place
When Backwoods Brew RY4 was discontinued, much mournful wailing ensued on ECF and elsewhere. Why? Because that juice was hugely popular. While Bluegrass Burley and Devil Dog! were truly amazing NET liquids, they were never very popular in the vaping community. My own reaction echoed that. They were breathtaking juices, all right, but I simply wasn't in love with them. Shoot, I spent more time posting about those two than I ever did vaping them. So the passing of Ahlusion's Aromatic line won't affect me at all. In fact, I'm glad to see that Wlad knows when it's time to move on.

On the other hand, Smooth Criminal is a perennial winner, and Caramel Wild Wood is to die for. Those juices may not be as technically incredible as BGB and DD, but they're delicious. I'll don a black arm band if those two are discontinued.

I had this thought earlier but couldn't even bring myself to type it. Perish the thought!

In the aftermath of bearing the bad news about Ahlusion's aros, I do have something great to report!

I have been lurking on this thread for over a year. I speak up now and then (not always with good news I guess) and am intrigued with all this home extraction being done. My problem - I haven't a clue what the different tobaccos taste like and what I might like should I make my own attempt! Yes, I have had a few commercial NETs, some better than others, but not really enough knowledge or experience to select a flavor to extract. I do know from experience I love a good Black Cavendish - and I tend to like slightly sweet, not too sweet, tobaccos.

I saw Johni's post offering samples of his extracts, so I PMed him. I hesitated because I have nothing to trade back. We went back and forth with what he has, what I have liked, etc. I admitted I would most like to advance my knowledge of the different tobaccos so I can get an idea of what I would like to attempt to extract.

Monday I received 5 bottles from Johni (THANKS Johni!!!!). Missouri to Florida in 2 days over a holiday weekend!! Sutliff ZBC-245 (for my Black Cavendish fix), Pipes and Cigars Blending Perique (I had mentioned I think I don't like perique but would love to see what it really tastes like), Mac Baren Danish Burley (for my burley education), Milan French Vanilla (I love a good vanilla tobacco) and Milan Honey Smoke (OMG!!!no honey please - Johni assured me it does not taste like honey, just a sweeter blend).

Yesterday I mixed up 10 ml bottles of each. I do have NIC, PG and VG and do a little dabbling in DIY (gotta prepare for the Vapeopolipse should it come about). And lots of bottles! I mixed each at 50/50, 6mg, 20% extract. I know these need steeping but today the curiosity got the better of me!

Black Cavendish - I love a good black cavendish! This is good now, it's just gonna get better with steeping. Sweet but not too sweet. Just good tobacco!
Perique - will need to spend more time with this, but I do NOT find it offensive as I did the "commercial" net I tried that was billed as perique.
Danish Burley - I get it! Not sweet, kind of a grassy, smoky flavor. per the description with a little twist "A real vaping pleasure.
French Vanilla - oh this is gonna be great!! Subtle flavor with only 24 hours steep time, but I can't wait to see how this develops. The vanilla is just a hint; enough to round out and add to the flavor. A sweetness I really like.
Honey Smoke - Holy Smoke! No honey at all (thank goodness), I think it is sweeter than the others. Description says coconut, but I don't detect any at this point. Just another very pleasant, slightly sweet vape.

All need more steeping. And more time. I just got out all my RDAs (an Igo-L, a V5, a little Patriot clone, and my brand spankin' new tobh clone). I have some more EVODs coming any day (FT, yea.... but they shipped!) and I will be rebuilding coils and spending time with each in it's own personal little tank.

Can't thank Johni enough for the opportunity to try these extractions. Great job! I may hit a few more of you up for a sample or two...

I've had Johni, Boomer's, and MFT's e-liquids. Who am I missing besides Bill?

Dustmite.

You guys are definitely delivering a commercial level product. Johni would be the MVJ, MFT is in Net.com teritory, and Boomer might be on a level above that. Boomer's delivers the presence and taste with a hammer but kills my rewicks in about 1.5ml.

If you want the funk, you gotta take the gunk. :) :vapor:

Any time Bro. Just PM me. I'll send you my list with suggestions. Be aware, I'm the W2V of DIY NET extractors. That goes for any of the regulars on this thread. Don't be shy.
