... 50% off Patriot was too good to pass up. Also tossed in some Wild Turkey which I haven't tried before, same with the GJ4... Someday I gotta try some of RBFS wares...

Never had any of those GeJ juices, just the ones I re-ordered, I forgot I re-ordered the Natural Perique also, figured I'd do a side by side with St. James.

The RBFS was because many liked the DWIT & St.James, since I had GeJ's NP & W2V's Blondie, I had to know, if you know what I'm saying. But what pushed me over the edge was Houndog, I love peanut butter on my Banana, sans the bread, but never thought of making that juice.

Anybody try Omega Vapes Hendershot ? A local vape shop just got it in and I was a bit surprised by it. It is described as a sweet vanilla graham cracker cookie with a hint of rich tobacco. What I get from it is cigarette tobacco with a very slight hint of vanilla. It isn't described as a NET but it has got to be. If it isn't they did a wonderful job of fooling my taste buds. It tasted like I cut open a fresh cigarette and placed the tobacco in my mouth. It isn't for me but if you like the taste of cigarette tobacco you will love it.

We're beginning to see more posts from home extractors saying, "I don't buy retail NETs anymore."

My guess is that this phenomenon will become more pronounced over time. Don't get me wrong: The best retail NETs are quite wonderful. And it's certainly true that some of my home-brewed extracts aren't as good as the better retail NETs. But even my fair-to-middlin' homemade extracts are tastier than many run-of-the-mill retail NETs, and my very best, top-of-the-line extracts are as good as anything in the retail marketplace. I sometimes feel that certain of the newer NET vendors apparently haven't vaped many NETs and don't really know how a great natural tobacco liquid is supposed to taste.

Beyond beauty contest value judgments of wow or meh, however, there's just something terrific about vaping one's own juices---not merely DIY, but juices made with flavoring extracts that we created ourselves. I don't know what it is, exactly, but 98% of my retail NETs are now relegated to the nether regions of my juice stash, since I never vape them.

Caramel Wild Wood and Smooth Criminal survived the cut and remain in my stable of daily juices, and I admit to having been seduced by GeJ's 50% off sale---I ordered 30ml bottles of Vita Bella (since I've been out of VB for about a year) and The Godfather (just to see what Nick can do with a cigar)---but those are exceptions. Mostly, I vape my own NETs these days, and if I want to step beyond that, I have a whole drawerful of tobacco extracts from my home-extractor comrades from which to choose.

I can definitely vouch for the juices you guys are extracting and mixing, having tried a few of them myself. Thank you to all the home extractors that are sharing their juices as well as the knowledge to make them. You guys are what make this group so special. That being said, I honestly believe that most new NET vendors are missing just that, the experience and the skill that the home extractors in here have whittled down to science with the constant sharing of information and findings. It's very easy to see how a fledgling vendor would extract a batch of tobacco juice, filter it with a coffee filter and then market it as their "latest and greatest" NET, only to be met with "WTH is this stuff?!" and "Wow, GUNK factor much?!" by the folks in here.

What the new vendors need is a NET Extraction 101 course headed by the venerable Bill Herbst, Johni, Boomer and others.. At the very least, they should read the book that you guys will be putting out once y'all are 100% locked in on the process side of extractions. They can thank you later!

FYI, I'm still resisting the urge to place a GeJ order. You guys are not making it easy at all..

Awesome vapemail day today. RBFS stock in da house! Huge HUGE shout out to Brian from RBFS for getting these to me via VapingWatch.

Those River Bottom Fog Sauce bottles look really nice. Are their NETs steam distilled or macerated? Wouldn't mind ordering some new "clean" NETs. I just hate the "chew spit" extracts.

Macerated, I believe. All the RBFSs that I've tried have been super-clean.

And, IMO, yes, all the RBFS juices I've tried (10 of them) are very "clean", and very easy on the coil.

I like my NETs sweet and clean, so the ones that catch my eye from the picture are Count Caramel, KillRY4, and perhaps Captain Honey Pepper. Any opinions on these, or perhaps other suggestions?

My favorite NETs are Ahlusion's Caramel Wild Wood and Just Criminal, and HHV's Serendipity and Maple Eh. Looking for something in the same ballbark.

KillR Y4 is a very mild blend containing tobaccos that are cased or topped with the two other basic flavors in RY4---caramel and vanilla. No added flavorings beyond the caramel and vanilla that were in the tobaccos themselves. It's not what I would call a spectacular NET-based RY4 (QuickNic ouRwhYq4tro is better, in my opinion), but it's a tasty and very easy vape. Nothing to detract from enjoyment, and great for when you want a nice, soothing hybrid NET.

Sounds like KillR Y4, with its smooth softness, would be right up your alley. And yes, it's among the cleanest of all retail NETs.

Le sigh.

I really need to find a winning lottery ticket, so I can try all these gorgeous-sounding River Bottom Fog Sauces!

I made two wicks. One is a hybrid hemp/cotton. The other is all hemp. I'm going to test a Mini PT3 with Sangria and hemp tomorrow, maybe. I'm definitely going to test out the hemp tomorrow.

ETA: I'm finishing up the Nub Cameroon. Thanks for starting a new tobacco obsession. Now I'm investigating good Cameroon cigars.

The stuff I've tried from the Homebrew Crew has been at least as good as any of the retail nets I've tried. The only ones that have a leg up are HHV and HOL. HHV has some adding flavoring that makes it stand out. The HOL has something extra in it. My body didn't like it, but it made the flavor something awesome. I can't say I'll be buying any though.

I'm taking starting my own cold soaks more seriously. I've still got pieces to get, but I'm finally getting serious. As much as I liked the stuff I've been vaping, it is a no brainer. Sangria and Orlik were just awesome. If I can get close to the quality of juices, I'll be happy. I just want to take things in a bit different direction. I'm looking for tobaccos that haven't been over done.

I don't normally post here but billherbst brought up home extractors. Thanks to the DIY threads and personal guidance I have done a few of my own. Tonight I am using rayon with Louisiana Red and it is a great taste. Never smoked it so can't compare it with anything but other vape liquid. Nicely sweet but not candy sweet, woody, spicy. The rayon really brings all of this out compared to cotton.

Room temp extraction is so simple that anyone should try it. I don't get sophisticated with my filtering and still get a pretty clean liquid. Hardest part is waiting.
