Mann, that's a shame (not trying to be punny here). I missed out on my chance to get 4 bottles of Acadian Gold and only have my FT20% code remaining (never used it, only took advantage of later offered coupons).

Wasn't it something like 50% off? That's like the Steam Summer Sale, minus the trading cards ofc.

or was that only the July 4th sale? Hard to keep track of all of these sales going on and off at the same time, considering I work through the weekend.

We need a "Sales ticker" that shows the NET vendors with their current sales displayed on the left side of the page....or something like that.

I just need to stop ordering stuff whether there is a sale or not! But I am kicking myself about that GeJ sale. I am sure happy though I got in on the HHV sale. My Jiggz and Dark Horse (DH with "a little extra extract") is all I've been vaping the past few days. Change is a good thing!

I'm vaping entirely too much not to start a DIY project. I've been through 5ml today and still have about five hours until bedtime. That works out to about .5ml an hour.

The flavors are all so good though. I've vaped 2ml of Drew Estate 7th Avenue Blond from MVJ and 1.5ml of their Ashton Artisans Blend. I also vaped 1ml of MFT's Sangria and 1ml of Netcom's Coconut Cavendish. I thought the 15mg nic level would be the death of me. The juice was definitely the death of my coil. I think it took a good two minutes to dry burn the coil. It now looks like it was dipped in last winter's ashes.

Yeh, I know how you feel- I think you were the one who suggested to ask for extra extract in part one of this thread.

I can't really recall specifically at this point without going through all of my posts, but I'm pretty sure that the time I first bumped into (lol, almost said "fist-bumped") you was around the same time I found this thread and swedish snus a short while after.

Would ya believe that neither pg or vg were the culprits?

It was gunky coils and wicks all along.

But seriously, why isn't Acadian Gold sold by the half-gallon with one of those food-service-sized dish soap pump dispensers for small bottles to take on the go?

That's one NET I'm very interested in replicating. It would pair very nicely with a golden cavendish, if my tastebuds and theory are correct- because I don't see Nick selling DIY extract any time soon... Imagine...VB with double extract.

I mean sure, it wouldn't be a VB, but with my crazy (and probably insane) idea, if you went a little heavy on the Golden Cav ratio you would definitely get a lightly vanilla-esque note from combining AG and GCav- throwing a little Virginia Cav into the Burley/Perique mix. This is only based off of what I've read and suspect Acadian Gold to be (Burley and a small portion of Perique blended)- unless Nick's already added an adjunct tobacco to the blend- I would not be surprised if this was the case.

EDIT: Before I got sidetracked- Jiggy is very hard to describe after a 6-month steep. it's actually quite mysterious, tasty, and very vapable. On the other hand, well-steeped Sludge was....well....sludge. I did enjoy the raisiny note I got from it, but still preferred Shadow #1 / Well-steeped Shadow.

Steep the crap outta that sludge; I ordered pretty much everything I've ever ordered from HHV with extra extract. It pays off when the juice turns this nice reddish-amber hue. Completely different in many ways from OOB taste, and similar in a few, as well.

W2V & HHV were my first real experiences with NETs; London tasted like a burnt tire to me, so I had to put it down. I had to gradually acclimate to different NETs on opposite ends of the spectrum to determine what it was that I really liked- fine cigars, and pipe tobaccos.

I do prefer a nice golden cavendish for its subtlety and slight sweetness, but will gladly fill a full tank with Balkan and let 'er rip.

I don't dump juice out of a tank once it goes in there- either it all gets vaped up or something else gets added to it. Coils may vary. In fact, they usually do. I'm due to torch pretty much my entire set due to residual gunk buildup that a dry burn usually misses.

....

Anyhow, as to those wondering where my book sized posts come from-

I talk more than this IRL, unless I have music going into my ears to distract me, or am typing a post.

If a person can't communicate on the same frequency, or at the same speed, they usually do walk out of the room before I can manage to summarize what it is exactly I'm getting at.

It's actually funny. Well, it's also sad. However, that's where my name comes from. I just talk too much.

Trust me, this has been confirmed many times by many people. Even my family doctor has to say, "So what do you need, what's going on?" to get me to summarize what's up and to get to my checklist of things to go over.

I could go on and on, but it's easier to chain more thoughts into conversations while actively holding them. Could you imagine if this was all in a chatbox? Hm, yes, I suppose I could work with that kind of momentum- much like an active conversation.

Here, I can only work with individual chunks and focus on one of them at a time.

As my buddy from PA would say, "Youns ain't seen nothin' yet."

Brob, I was thinking that Jiggz and Sludge would likely need a steep to get me back to where they were, but if you can believe it (I sure can't), I would now rather my Jiggz to taste like it did when I got it. The anise is already not as loud (or maybe I've used to it?) and I can honestly say that I have never had a liquid that tasted of anise that I genuinely liked or wished would stay prominent with anise. Well, if it steeps back to where I originally liked it, at least I will be back to a good place.

In other liquid news, I got my restock of Smooth Criminal. Still the bomb, but it's resting right now.

Actually, I agree with you. That is/was how I feel about Temptation and Maple Eh?

Temptation went from a choco-bacco to more like....hot chocolate. Maple Eh? Went from almost being like maple-huntsman to being almost entirely maple.

To me, my Jiggy tasted almost like cough syrup when I first got it- very floral, spicy cough syrup.

Then it turned into....well, I don't know what it turned into, but I enjoyed it.

I need to try SC one of these days.

Fingers crossed that it stays on the list of things that aren't disappearing from the site.

As much as I initially liked Vurley, I didn't vape it fast enough and didn't seal the bottle properly.

However, the vanilla room note that currently accompanies what I have left makes Vita Bella blush and go hide in the corner- but just by a little bit.

Something about the room note of VB makes people go "Something smells good!" even when they have no idea it's being vaped in the vicinity.

I guess, kinda like how pipe tobacco smells when you're a kid and you have no idea how it tastes- kinda like that.

Actually, a lot of NETs are like that to me. It's like the concentrated smell of the tobacco, without the burning taste.

I'd never thought about it up until now, but I had always described to people that the first puff or freshly opened pack of the analog was more akin to what NETs tasted like, over the cigalikes/njoys/cheap disposable crap people accept as "e-cigarettes". I will say that the RY4 I tried in one of my first disposables was delicious.... 21st century cigarette, I think it was called? Haven't found that flavor since.

I do remember that in my 11+ years of 'analoging', that the first puff was always the best, and the dog-ends were always the nastiest, but strongest bits. I rolled quite a few, then re-used the packs as holding devices for my handmades- this was especially handy for the construction work I was doing at the time, when rolling while working was practically impossible, if not out of the question due to environmental conditions and sweating.

I have had a couple NETs that tasted similar to how Bugler smelled when the pouch was freshly opened- GeJ's Analog being one of them.

In fact, the tobacco base DEV uses has a similar flavor, but they try too hard to mask it sometimes.

IMO; let the tobacco flavor shine, put the elements in the background or balance them out.

Different vapes for different vapers, but as usual- hardware has a significant effect on flavor, as do wicks, ect.

This is why when someone is interested in an e-cig, I usually refer them to here, and give them a list of NET/hardware vendors that are frequently recommended on the forums.

The vendors never send me enough cards to make this process easy on me, though, or I could just hand out little baggies filled with vendor cards with the forum's URL written on the bag or stickered on there with permanent marker in big bold letters.

I'm no expert, by any means, but if I can help one person kick the analogs, that's one more person who is going to spread the word about vaping... and NETs, of course.

I try to steer them in that direction, and since we post so often here.... our thread is quite visible to anyone who is looking to try/ has tried NETs from those vendors and have any questions.

'Analog' can be a good thing in music, but the other analogs are something we're trying to steer clear of as vapers. Snus'ers, WTA'ers, NETizens, Synth-bacco/hybrid lovers, and good 'ol e-liquid users alike.

As an aside- HHV's Strawberry Shortcake was actually pretty good.

OK, I am starting to get a little bit ...... here.

Other than Jerms I haven;t seen anyone really give a flying fart about the discontinuation of the Ahlusion - Aromatic line.

The thought of living without Maple Burley is more than I can bear.

Is somebody on this??? Is Wlad going to issue an official statement? Do Jerms and I need to go to the mattresses???

I kind of disagree with this. I think you want the plunger to push all the way down and press out "the good stuff", just intuition but I like using my big stainless steel turkey injector. And really unless you are supplying a small amish community you don't need something the size of a French press :)

My understanding is that Bill actually does supply a small Amish community with home made NETs :)

I am easing my pain withjuices from our own LEGION OF JUICE

Orlick Sun Sliced - Boomerdude
Royal Cajun - Dustmight
Voodoo Queen - johnni
Black Forest - Bill Herbst

There really is no going back. Superior in most every way. I have a number of EXCELLENT and beloved retail juices i just have like zero interest in just sitting in my drawer. Pretty much only retail juices currently in daily rotation are CWW, Smooth Criminal, and Maple Burley. Not by design, but interesting for sure, is that they are all Ahlusion juices. Weird.

I have sold or PIF'd a ton of juice this month. I haven't really taken an inventory of what has stuck around, so it is very interesting to see what I couldn't or wouldn't part with. Keep in mind when seeing list below that at one time I had virtually the entire NET lineup from each of these vendors. So...as I am dripping and savoring the superior DIY's, I am still hitting many retail juices from time to time, including:

GEJ: Patriot, Acadian Gold
NETCOM: Uncle BJ, Coventry, 3 Crowns, H+ Yellow Mane, The Boss, Single Varietals
Ahlusion: JG Blend
W2V: Louisville, Managua, Alcazar
RBFS: Fab & Burley, Porch Rocker, St. James Parish
MOV: Southern Gentleman, Sunday Morning
MVJ: TBD. I have tried 4 or 5 (all extra extract) and while i enjoy, they aren't knocking my socks off in any way. Must steep before deciding. After 1-2 months steep none call to me ever, but all are very vapeable.

I got a lot from HHV, but I had no idea how good GeJ was. I only purchased the Gj4 and I wished i would have gotten soooo much more.....So, kick it over here too!!!

I'm getting to the same place with MVJ. They are still my favorite retail vendor though. Some of the pipe tobaccos do call to me, but the cigars tend to less than before. The thing with MVJ though, they are very vapeable and make for awesome all day vapes. I work 12.5 hour shifts and that is where they absolutely shine. When you have one juice for a twelve hour day you need something that won't beat on your coils or tastebuds. In that case the MVJ pipe extracts are nearly perfect.

The Dunhill Early Morning and Drew Estates 7th Avenue Blonde are nearly perfect in that roll.

Don't hold your breath. For my order placed on 4/7, it shows on the NETcom website that the order was shipped on 6/25. However, when I check the tracking number on USPS.com, it shows that just the label was entered on 6/25 and no further status. More fun and games from NETcom. At least the label got entered two weeks ago. I guess that's some progress.

It's pretty sad that when I want to check my order status on NETcom's website, when I click on the dropdown for orders placed in the last three months, my order doesn't even appear anymore and I have to select orders placed in the last six months. Now that's customer service.

Thank you NETcom for motivating me to start doing home extractions. For that, and that alone, I will forever be grateful.

I just can't believe it. Life is so unpredictable. I'm still in disbelief how this NET.com saga has unfolded.

I just have so many right now, and every good sale that comes by tugs at me greatly. I'm embarrassed to show anyone my "stash"!

You're embarrassed at the size of your vaping stash???

I'm so far beyond mortified at the gargantuan size of mine that I no longer feel embarrassed, just astonished. The pic below is a composite shot of the storage cabinets at my vaping workstation, a 1920s oak library table. That includes 15 liters of retail eliquids, 5 liters of flavorings, 4 liters of DIY juices, and 3 liters of home-brewed NET extracts (makes me feel like singing, "And a par-tridge in a pear tree..."). What the picture doesn't show is 3 liters of liquid nic in the freezer, a gallon each of PG and VG in the fridge, 45 loaded-and-ready PVs at my regular desk, another 40 loaded PVs upstairs in my bedroom next to my bed, and the four cigar macerations currently steeping in the kitchen---two on the stove and two on the windowsill.

Everyone needs a hobby. LOL.

Well, update on my little part of the saga. Eagle has landed. I have my NETcom order in hand, but I'm not the happiest of campers. I tore Sun Cured Turkish right out of the package and loaded up a clearo. The first thing I noticed was that it was definitely lighter in color than the previous bottles I'd ordered. A side-by-side with the few ml of SCT I was saving for my dying vape was pretty stark. I've always ordered it with regular extract, since it packed a nice wallop and I felt no need to go for the extra (unlike some other NETcoms).

It doesn't seem to pack the throat hit and flavor punch either that I remember. It's definitely crisper and I taste the Turkish in the high notes, but it seems to lack the bass and depth I remember. Some of this could be due to a number of factors. It's brand new and out of the mail, but I remember the previous ones being fantastic right out of the mail. This one's mix date is 6/26, so it's had a few weeks to steep. Maybe the others were more aged when I received them? I don't know, since I don't have the bottles anymore. I've also been hitting Acadian Gold pretty hard today, which probably beat my taste buds a bit, but I remember being able to switch effortlessly between the two without ever missing out on the other.

However, none of this accounts for the significantly lighter color. Maybe a difference in crops since then, or filtration methods? I don't know. But I'm definitely missing the dirty, delicious SCT I remember. Needless to say, I'm not having the vapegasm I'd anticipated having right now. More to come...
