yeah, i had a self imposed buy freeze when i reached one liter of juice, and another one at 1.5 liters. This time i am well over 2 liters, and i really really mean it ! .... no seriously :)

My current rotation box has room for about 24 10ml and 12 7ml bottles. When that filled up the first time I tried a buying freeze. Lasted a little bit, then I just decided to use a second box. Now I'm up to 3 boxes and one drawer lol. My drawer is getting empty so I'm starting to buy more juice (still have 3 full boxes lol).

Too much juice, and struggling not to buy more.. talk about 1st world problems.

So I've been researching the newer drippers today; reading a bit and watching todd'sreviews. Magma, want it; Origen V2, want it; Quasar, want it. But then I came across Veritas........... NEED it!

What an awesome design! Majorly reduced chamber for great flavor, deep and smartly designed well that holds nearly a ml of juice, and a downright brilliant airflow system that offers a side airhole that doesn't leak.

Picking up the Tobeco clone from 101vape. I'm just pumped to try this atty. Anyone here have an iHybrid Veritas or the clone? I'm kind of amazed at the simple yet innovative airflow design. After seeing it, it's like, why haven't they done it this way from the beginning?

Hate to go there, but the Veritas has been "cloned". It's super cheap too (price wise). I haven't tried the China-version (it sure looks like they got it right though), but in general the Veritas is sweet. I went full force on it for over a month or so, but then the Origen v2 worked its way into my life. They're so different, but it makes sense that I went from one to the other.

As an aside, I am fairly new to the hardware-chase so it still baffles me that I bought the Veritas the day it came out and before any review. I don't recommend anyone do that (it was truly an impulse buy), and as much as I feel I got lucky, it really was a no-brainer when you see it -- huge well, no leaking, innovative design, unique engraving, adjustable air flow, etc. It's a winner, Jerms. Go for it.

But know that even with the airflow closed off, it will still feel like an open hit. I have grown to love it all the way open on my RDAs, but just know that if you actually want a less-open hit, the Origen would be more to your liking. They're both kinda wonky with the builds, but they also both become, like any other RDA, easy the more you do it (actually easy after a couple days -- YMMV).

Thanks for the info! I'm surprised about open draw you described, it would seem a person could set it as tight as they want since it's lining up two holes. I'll see what you mean in a few days. I image I'll figure a way to tighten it up, may have to get out the tape lol.

It will be a different build for me as I normally stick with horizontal single coils. The Veritas just seems so right for vertical duals though, so I'll try that first with it.

If the Veritas clone doesn't click with me, o well, I'll pass it on. At $15 it's a cheap investment. Won't be the first dripper I bought and didn't like... or the third, or the fourth.. lol. It seems oh so right to me though, as long as I can get the draw how I like.

Coming soon from House of Liquid:

Possibly the most anticipated Liquid of the year and one of our finest liquid tobaccos is now available.

Made with our best authentic Cuban tobacco blend and a touch of exquisite organic coffee and chocolate -- Puros Dark is an all night and day tobacco that is not aggressive to coils and atomisers.

It took us nearly three months, over 200 samples, and a number of steeps to create the perfect balance. The result is an outstanding dry tobacco with hints of chocolate and coffee, multi-layers of aromas and a thick vapour that lingers in the mouth and air as near experience to a fine cigar.

The Finest eLiquid Brands Worldwide

I love HoL's Brasiliero, Chivalry, and Reserve but not the Puros line. I know HoL gets the taste of that type of tobacco exactly right, but it doesn't fit my flavor preferences.

I will look forward to a review here, though, in hopes Puros Dark is worth a try.

"Our flavors are obtained through a proprietary technology conducted at temperatures below 118 degrees F. This process comprises a multi-stage extraction encompassing initial desiccation, lyophilization, CO2 and HFC extraction."

So, they dry the fruits/herbs/whatever, then freeze-dry them, then extract the flavoring using a carbon dioxide and/or hydrofluorocarbon process. I've heard of CO2 extraction; HFC extraction is new to me.

If you find any commercial juices that actually have HFC extracted tobacco in them, or any vendors willing to disclose this, please let me know.

I have an extreme aversion to anything "fluorine" or "fluoride" related.

I don't care if there's a complete difference in chemical structure, it has "fluoro" in the group. Count me out.

I don't even use toothpaste with fluoride in it. I avoid drinking fluoridated water.

I wonder why they decided to use that route, as if it provides some kind of flavor benefit over others.

Regardless, yech.

Perhaps I'm totally wrong here, but I would definitely prefer cane sugar to GMO sugar-beet or mercury-cell produced High Fructose Corn Syrup any day of the week.

One is bad for you, sure, but the others have inherent risks that are known and further risks yet to be fully understood.

Maybe I'm just paranoid, but fluorine in any sort of anything I consume, and most definitely, vape, is really a concern for me.

A full analysis(rather, several analyses) of the finished product would be extremely helpful in determining safety.

Just as many of you are discussing sub-Ω vaping, I have seen people talk about it on youtube, admitting that it isn't safe, it's a big risk, all kinds of warnings and disclaimers at the beginning of their videos before they go on to discuss their setups. Then they remind me again that it's stupid, unsafe, and I shouldn't be doing it.

Well, that's fine and all. I mean, I have a pretty good idea of what Kanthal and Nichrome are composed of. Sub-Ω will melt the solder on nichrome NR-R-NR coils if they're heated up enough, and if that occurs....well.... I mean, lead is usually what is used in solder, right?

I found something along the way, I forget who posted it and where. But I wonder if this is what they were referring to?

EDIT: can't get full img to post. Dunno why.

EDIT 2: Here's the actual image link- Like I said, no idea where I originally found it, but it shows up ok on my PC.

Keep in mind, this is only for Nichrome.

Kanthal has an entirely different resistance and, well, I suppose if you had silver wire crimped to it (or even something cheaper) it would perform the same without the same "risks".

This chart would confirm sub-ohm would blow Nichrome at certain ranges, probably why it's not usually ever referenced in subohm vaping.

However, this doesn't mean that the drain on the battery isn't increased with subΩ or VV/VW devices on standard-resistance coils. Either may pose similar risks. Since I haven't read the last 10 pages yet, I'm not sure what has/hasn't been touched on. However, there may be a way to balance risk vs reward along the way, somewhere.

After all, if you have limited amp draw, can you really blow a battery using subohm?

Likewise, if you have a VV/VW device that can go upwards of 15W, can that do the same if you chain vape at say, 1.3-1.5Ω or so? 2Ω?

I suppose, even having not read said advisory, that the risk would be significantly heightened using mechanical mods without kicks. If you exceed the amperage output of the battery in some way, shape, or form, what actually happens? I can't imagine it would be a good thing.

On another topic:

Kanthal can literally be torched to death, and in a twisted wire configuration acquires durability that puts everything else to shame.

Any recommendations on a RBA that doesn't use screws to hold wires? I don't think I'll be able to do this much fiddling soon and need something I can just shove a new coil in and wick up.

Don't really care if it's drip or tank, as long as I can burn that coil off easily if required to do so.

Catch you folks later (and up on the thread). Currently on page 700. Give me a little time, k?

I'm currently enjoying a Trident v2 with a single coil with my NETs. May want to check it out. It has the option of a single hole or dual depending on whether you want single or dual coils. The thing I like about the single coil setup on the Trident v2 is that you get a real warm moist vape as compared to other atomizers. It may be because of the smaller chamber size or the fact that I have it set to a tighter draw.

The only down side with an RDA is that when you switch back to a tank with the same NET you go meh

I have the Trident V1. Not my favorite dripper, but still one I use and like. The V2 does look like a better design, I may pick it up sometime. Eight of my drippers I use in a rotation, but I really dig checking out new ones. It's nice to have a bunch of drippers set up when vaping NETs. Even if I only get a day out of a wick I can go over a week before having to rewick everything.

Ha!

You can run a single on the Veritas easy breezy BTW, but nothing beats that dual. Can't wait to get your feelings on it. Where are you getting it from?

http://101vape.com/rebuildable-atomizers-tanks/334-veritas-atomizer-clone-by-tobeco.html

101vape has been the first place I look for mech and dripper clones for several months now. Great prices for a US vendor, often only a few bucks more than FastTech. I like that they usually list the manufacturer of the clones. Also, $2 shipping is nice. Only downside is they seem to run out of stock fairly often.

Been vaping a lot of synthetic RY4 and decided to toss together what I had in the box. One third each of American Spirit, English Toffee, Vanilla Custard. Interesting, different, tasty.

Sounds like a tasty combo to me!

I've been looking at this :

$15.88 Cerberus Style 26650 Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer - stainless steel / 28.5mm / 510 connector + hybrid connector at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

To go on my Hades with this :

$23.97 Authentic VAPPOWER IMR26650 3.7V 5200mAh Rechargeable Li-Ion Batteries (2-Pack) - 20A continuous discharge at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

But then I thought, hmmnnn 5200 MAH. One little thing goes wrong, especially holding this up to my face right under my eyes.

I might wind up in Hades with my exploded Hades. Is there irony in hell?

Nah. Three wicks is to much hassle.

I received some Delasco rayon balls today, I believe they are medical grade. It seems more uniform and there's less fly-aways than CelluCotton rayon, with a subtly different texture. For repeatable results and ease of use, I think it may be an improvement over CCr but still not on the level of KGD.

I loaded to drippers with Pirate's Drunken Sweet Tooth from RiverBottom to do a side-by-side comparing Delasco with CCr. My first impression of Delasco is the flavor is very clean right away, potent and pure; I'm just tasting the juice. Next up the the CCr.. very clean right away, potent and pure; I'm just tasting the juice. Yep, whatever flavor differences that may show up between the two are probably going to be very subtle. I wouldn't be able to tell which is which blindly at this point.

So to some up my very early impressions of Delasco; if you don't like CCr you probably won't like this rayon either. I would suggest the Delasco over CCr purely for ease of use, and that it may be a purer, better prepared product. If someone has and loves CCr, I don't see a big hurry to seek out Delasco. I find both products golden, though I am switching to the Delasco. At least until rayon pads are discovered lol.

Jerms very kindly sent me a long strand of Rayon CelluCotton to try, enough to make at least 100 wicks, along with a 6ml bottle of his newly-purchased and fresh GJ4 (GoodEJuice's NET-based RY4). Thanks, Jerms!

The fresh GJ4 is better than my two-and-a-half year old bottle of GJ4. It's lighter in color, brighter in taste, with better balance between the RY4 trinity of tobacco, caramel, and vanilla. By contrast, my old GJ4 is very dark in color, much flatter in taste, and tobacco-dominant, with the caramel-vanilla components diminished. I like the fresh GJ4 more, obviously. The big surprise, however, is not that the fresh GJ4 is better, but how well my now-ancient bottle of GJ4 has held up. It's still a halfway decent vape, relatively speaking.

On the wicking front, I re-wicked with Rayon two of the micro-coiled rebuildable atties (YK1 Minis, which are Cyclone clones) on my bottom-feeders. I like how easy the CelluCotton is to work with. The strands are longer and not as fly-away as Kho Gen Do cotton. The material itself is "springier" than cotton. I still prefer the flavor of the KGD, however. I'd rate the KGD Cotton a 10 for flavor, versus 9 for the Rayon, and 7 for regular twisted silica.

IMHO Alh is not using natural tobacco anymore than aroma or TPA using vendors, I'm a chemical engineer who believes they don't belong in this thread, they have nice big thread.

For people following this thread who want to try an honest natural extracted tobacco with excellent flavor I've been absolutely hooked on River Bottom Fog Sauce Caven Fever, its expensive and not available in big bottles so more of a weekend treat but it is a fantastic natural tobacco. I've tried to duplicate it but have been unable to figure out which Cavendish they use. It is truly unique and best in class.
