I see that N-E-T.com has taken down the banner saying closed until Aug to get caught up... hope that means Clay is back on track.
It's back up, and the rest of the site seems inaccessible.
I'm confident that Clay will get things rolling.
One or two mixologists would be put under extremely heavy load trying to fill all the orders placed.
I was going to email them about the juices I
accidentally ordered at 12mg, but heck- that just means I can chain vape to my heart's content and maybe reduce my nic levels a bit more.
18mg is fine and all, but even in the Svoemaestro KFL clone, it seems like I have become resistant to it (I become resistant to things quite quickly, as my past experiences with pretty much everything, including coffee [which can put me to sleep if I'm tired], have shown me) for whatever reason.
I'll need to twist and torch a
lot of 32AWG kanthal; I
already received the pre-ship notification from the Ebay seller for the Vume Bell- Plume Veil RDA.
I might not need to step up or alter that NETCOM order after
that thing arrives.
FWIW- regarding batteries, even since I stopped using the Demonfires, I still notice a significant drop in performance and vapor output once my batteries hit around or below 3.7v. However, the Sony VTC5 hybrid ones seem to both take longer to charge, while holding a charge much longer than the former at higher wattage/voltage (Even while being rated at a lower mAh than the Demonfires- but maybe that's because they're Demonfires and not Sony batteries).
May pick up a new mod just to see if I can actually get these things below 3.6 while still maintaining a decent vape- however, I've heard tell that dropping below 3.7 on a battery is undesirable. However, as is the case with lithium batteries in general, I am operating under the assumption that keeping them charged at higher voltage will reduce their total capacity over time; rather than draining them down and doing a full charge from "practically drained entirely" to "fully charged".
I've found that NET gunk does not change the situation: either while gunked up or squeaky clean, the coil performs completely differently with the fresh Sony over one that hits 3.7->3.6v. Almost like a Spinner that's about to lose it's charge and start blinking for a recharge. However, I am most curious about different devices with higher amperage output, and how they perform with NETs- both in flavor, and in performance.
I guess I really just don't know, to be honest.
On a different note:
I'm running out of Latakia, and I'm starting to get concerned. Down to the Ashton's Artisan Blend I picked up a little while back. I have to say, I really like the 'bite' that Latakia provides. Almost replicates the feel of an analog, at least for me. I have mentioned this before, but I was big on hand-rolled buglers before I kicked the analogs to the curb- mainly why I can't really estimate how many of them I actually consumed on a daily basis due to varying sizes and rolling density.
If I'm not mistaken, Bugler was Turkish and Burley, not sure if there was some Virginia in there, but it certainly seemed that the Bugler Gold (much more difficult to locate) had a good portion of VA in it. Though, it's been about 8 years since I had a pouch of Bugler Gold in my possession.
I could never understand why my one buddy liked Kools so much. I was a menthol guy for a good while (but even Kools were pushing it. Like a halls cough drop with burning
something in it), but as I started trying out different tobacco styles and actually
tasting the tobacco itself, I brand switched off of menthols entirely and just went to straight-up tobacco.
I can't say there's ever been a menthol vape I enjoyed. Mint, yes. Creme de menthe, sure. But never menthol. I had the misfortune of accidentally loading up a tank of a friend's 36mg MBV menthol 555, and I couldn't tell whether it made me more nauseous from the high nicotine level or the menthol itself. Back into the bottle it went. The only reason I loaded it in the tank was that it didn't
smell like menthol, but boy oh boy, it
sure tasted like it.
Later on, I discovered that there was double-strength menthol in the blend.
It was like puffing on a very dark-colored Halls cough drop. I couldn't really tell what else was in there, all I tasted was Halls, and all I felt was completely nauseated.
It took quite a while to get that flavor out of my EVOD.
No offense to menthol vapers intended, but when it's strong enough to overpower the tobacco flavor- why even bother putting tobacco flavor (or anything else, really) in it?

FT order finally shipped, but I have a feeling I messed up by getting tanks. I really don't know why, I mean... even when I'm out, now nothing really makes me happy but dripping. Maybe this will change over time, though.
Maybe. I'm still not sure, but I definitely feel as if dripping brings out the flavor: like a professional boxer throwing an uppercut, compared to a tank feeling like a jab to the face.
It's just....so much easier to mess with drippers and clean them out. Less lost juice, more...well, I guess it's like rediscovering vaping, for me.
