I'm stoked to try the Magma, the Origen too.

I have the Magma and V1 and 2 of the Origen. For flavor the Magma is the clear winner with a decent amount of vapor production. For flavor and vapor, sacrificing a little bit of flavor the Origen V2 is pretty awesome. As long as it is making decent vapor I do not care about "clouds" I am a flavor junky :D Well, flavor, juice, mod, atty...

Hello, my name is Fear, I am a vaping addict.

Do you mean one of those Coil Gizmo mandrels? If so, know that was my problem with will lead you to going though a whole dams spool of Kanthal.LOL. I took that joker (mandrel) and snipped it to make it smaller and then it was worlds easier. A drill bit is nice too. I promise you though, if you do decide it's worth it to find out, that atty's is sweet action!

Yeah, the smallest gizmo mandrel. That was with the XC-116, I put the mandrel inside it and wrapped on the wick. When I was setting it up before for rayon and cotton, I used a longish nail of about 1.6mm diameter.

Because my five REO bottom feeders all have standard high-profile REO drip wells that accept only rebuildable atomizers with an outer diameter no greater than 14mm, I've standardized all my bottom feeders---REOs, Phids, VapageMods, etc.---on small-chambered mini-rebuildables, mainly YK1 Mini dripping atties, which are dirt-cheap Chinese clones of the much-pricier Cyclone RBA. I have nine of those, all modified to be bottom-fed, that vape like champs. As a result, I've managed to miss (or at least not be seduced by) the explosion of increasingly sophisticated 22mm diameter rebuildable atties that have flooded the market.

Heck, I don't even know what a Veritas is or how it works. As I've posted recently, my refinement with building coils extends no further than boring 5/64" 1.0-2.0 ohm single micro-coils with KGD or Rayon wicks. Can something be called "old school" that didn't even exist two years ago?. Seems like complicated monster RBAs now comprise about half the posts on the most popular Daily Deals site (you know, the one I can't mention here because it's at war with ECF). I don't even click on the links to check them out. LOL.

I keep one VAMO topped by a standard 2.2 ohm Joyetech 510 atty always at the ready, dedicated to testing new juices. It's so convenient---just blow it out, and it's ready to try a different juice. Drip-drip-drip, vape-vape-vape, drip-drip-drip. As Mr.Mann will no doubt agree, I still have deep respect for that now-ancient hardware, and---despite how great RDAs/RBAs/RTAs can be---I continue to enjoy vaping from such a simple system.

And, as many here have asserted time and again, despite the proliferation of high-end tanks, dripping is still a fantastic way to bring out all the flavor from NETs.

Yeah, I don't really care one way or another -- I always read over parts that I am not interested in. Some vendors that I have zero desire to constantly read about get skipped over as well as other stuff. It's a conversation and all can take it where they must (it's even okay to have conversations with ourselves, LOL), but I do think at times it can be difficult enough for new vapers to figure out what's what even on a retail NET side, let alone in regards to the DIY side. But, hell, if you are reading a thread about microcoils, by the middle of the thread the topic will be about wrapping under tension and how to build a rig for doing just that. It's the nature of the beast and in the end, it should still serve as information -- and that's basically what this thread has become. Learning about DIY will actually lead to a better understanding of retail NETs. It all helps, but the retail end must remain a major part (obviously).

And to ramble a touch further, I think a lot of us may even be a bit burnt out on so many new vendors popping up with not a whole lot being all that impressive or offerings that are just too basic. So, the next best thing would be to take matters into our own hands. I totally get it! I still hold out hope that there will be some new vendors doing something different -- and hopefully special -- but that remains to be vaped. Checkum and I got a UK based co. coming that I recently posted about (Redvape) and Frankenmeizer has some Smugjuice coming - maybe there'll be some new winners? If not, we can always get by wonderfully with a little help from our friends.

Howdy. I might not be a "new" vaper but in terms of some of y'all I'd be considered new (been vaping since November last year). I am kinda new to ECF as well; been reading this thread since I became a member and think I might be addicted to it. The reason for that is I thought I was a NET expert because I have been vaping MOV's NET's since December. However, once I started reading this thread I realized there was a whole new world out there of new NET's for me to explore.

By reading this thread I was able to take advantage of the 50% off sale at GeJ a few weeks back and have been enjoying the heck out of them. By reading the first page I went to a few other places to try a few other vendors and am steeping some from Downeast Vapor and waiting for vape-mail from EtherVapes. I seen good stuff posted a little while back on both of them and they had flavors I wanted to try. I also want to try most of the first tier vendors and will probably will start soon enough.

There is something else I get from this thread and all the home extractor talk; a good idea of what certain tobaccos that are always listed are supposed to taste or at least what kinda flavor profile they have. Also, if they are earthy, smokey, dark, light, robust, and all that type of stuff. I love it and feel like I'm getting a free education at times on the finer points of tobaccos. In fact, I think this type of discussion helped this noob understand this stuff better than just talking about retail vendors. It could just be me but I find it interesting as all heck.

So I guess all I am trying to say is everything y'all discuss on this thread has helped a rookie like me become more interested in different retail NET's. The funny part is, back when I smoked it was just regular analogs, nothing special. However, now I am enjoying the journey into finer tobaccos and such. Thanks!

I've been vaping a heat assited Capt Black Dark all weekend. This is really a great cavendish. I use straight extract 20% no other tobaccos. It really has good flavor. I filtered to 5 micron and it works fine in my aerotank, KLF, and of course dripper. I noticed pipes and cigars are about sold out surely people don't smoke this straight maybe other net extractors buying it?

Also ordered 30 ml each of Eclipse and confederate from ether, never hurts to have a few commercial nets.

Just a warning to all you new NET lovers here. Once you try extractions from just one the folks here in trades, forget about getting to all of them. They are all that good! I got hooked so bad on extractions fro Bill and Johni that I can't get any extractions to let go of to trade with others folks on the thread I would love to try!! The other problem is They will offer you encouragement to do your own extractions and help in any way they can.
My only hope is do my own extractions after the BBQ judging season and hope they turn out good enough to trade with the rest of the pro's..... :toast: :vapor:

I've had some bad ones H&H black Currrant Cavendish is sort of like cough medicine. In general I stick with non fruit blends and Virginias. Something about Virginia doesn't lend to good taste in ejuice. Cavendish may not be exotic but its king in my book. I wish I had the time to try Latika, and obtaining a real strong Perique seems difficult (its mixed down to the point that it is abscent in the final vape.) To DIY a Perique as far as I know you need to be in the business.

I feel the same way about the thread. What did u get from DownEast? Has anybody tried their Wicked Good Tobacco? I really wanna try it. It's on my list of next things to buy. This thread has made me wanna get into DIY. Looks like I will be starting soon. Just so I have something to do while waiting for my first extractions. I have been saving post and pages with tobacoos I like the sound of to extract. I can't wait to get the stuff to Start.

I assume my comments of perique. We are all new to this, smug pictures of popcorn add little to learnings. If you know of a pipe tobacco sold where the perique really shines in a net share it. Short of picking it out by hand and making a net out of that I find perques to be so subtle as to be hardly worth it when heat assisted extracted.

DEV Blue ountain is one of the few fruit nets that's done right, the blue berry tastes like blue berry, their ronon 555 is on the opposite end of the spectrum but very well done.

Welcome Vicman, good first post here, keep that positive attitude and if you've got questions, don't fear asking.

Thanks. Will do for sure. Was kinda intimidated before (I like to think I know it all but when I find out I don't, it's all weird  ), but after the first post and warm welcome, that kinda went away.

Howdy easye. I bought three and they threw in a sample. The ones I got were Blue Mountain, House Blend, and Maplewood; the sample was Honey cured. I only dripped a few drops of each so really can't talk about how they taste as they need to steep a bit. My initial thoughts were they were kinda sweet and the flavors in the tobacco (blueberry and maple) stand out at first. Kinda feel after a couple weeks or so they will be blended together a bit.
