Wow! No internet for a few days and days and I had a book to read to catch up!

Mike, I've extracted a few tobaccos that had already been done because I liked them a lot but most of the time I'm looking for something different and previously untested. Given the vast array of good tobacco blends available, it is easy to stay original.

Just so someone doesn't get the wrong idea, Perique exrtracts beautifully and easily in blends or alone. In addition, Virginia is a wonderful part of the flavor profile in many blends and it also translates very well when extracted.

Bill, loved the shot of your extract supply! Mine isn't quite as big but close and I enjoy it immensely.:D

I was about to ask if anyone's seen John lately.

I agree about Perique extracted wonderfully for you home brewers, especially VA/Per blends. Oh myyy.

Try "tuchas." Yiddish is usually missed by most censors! :D

Haha, and it's a fun word too!

Oh No!!! This is a British forum, and in England, that word is slang for, um, certain lady parts!!:blush::lol:

Wow, I had no idea. No wonder what we call fanny packs they call bum bags lol.

Much better. Fab & Burley is tasting vanilla creamy and ciggy smooth. Thanks again Franken for posting that link to RiP's video. Wick's staying fully saturated, throat hit, flavor, and vapor are up to my preferences. 28ga Kanthal macro spring at 1 ohm with CC rayon.

Also, since it's a spring while my other builds are micros with compact wraps, I'll be able to test how long she holds with gunkier NETs.

The last order I made to MVJ included. Drew Estate Toasted Black Cavendish Pipe tobacco. I didn't like it at all. Sent it on to a friend who more of a tobacco vaper than me and she didn't like it either. Diane included an Extract of Camacho Triple Maduro Cigar which wasn't bad at all. Any recommendations?

Finishing up the night listening to 1970s era Elton John and vaping MFT's Opulence 3. MFT nailed the taste spot on. If you've ever had the analog you'll recognize it instantly. This one is coming together very well with age. I started off a bit iffy about it. However, it is getting into the region of awesome.

My wife even said, "that is a smelly one. It stinks." Yep, the room note very much a cross between the foot of the stick and a humidor. A couple of more weeks and there might not be any difference between the juice and the analog. Plus, I can get a whole Evod2 of it before the coils start choking. That is definitely a huge :thumb:

I'm a big fan of the STP CAO Italia. For a good Maduro try the 5 Vegas Cask Strength and Alec Bradley. If you want something smoother try the Garo Double Habano. Diane really has some extremely good cigars chosen for her line up. The only one that fell a little flat for me was the Ramon Bueso. I didn't get to let it steep though. So, maybe the STP version is better. I know the four month old Italia was well beyond what I expected after vaping it at two months.

Looks like Diane may finally be slowing down on her new releases lol. From their newsletter..

"I wanted everyone to know that I am having the MyVapeJuice.com's Semi Annual DIY Extract sale this Wednesday. Prices never go lower than this and the favorites tend to sell out early, so if your interested I suggest you order earlier in the day than later. I have a few more tobaccos that need to be listed on the site and hopefully will get them up before the sale and then the tobacco section is complete except for requests and ocassional additions."

One more post about my Veritas and I'll stop going off topic.. at least for tonight lol. I didn't like having the long positive leg being bare, as I know a long unwicked lead can get pretty hot, especially when not using a compressed coil, which can effect the flavor. So as I was working some from the tail up there I thought screw it, I'll just add another wick like RiP did up top. Now I'm really getting away from my comfort zone, but I gotta say, the flavor is just slammin' now. Lots of wick going on, not great for switching flavors, but I normally have a couple mods going anyways.

I should have had the legs going over-under the opposite way by wrapping in the other direction or using the other negative screw, but that'll wait until next build because I'm going to quit while I'm ahead and enjoy this as is for a while.

You actually made a couple of comments that people are probably going to have issues with. If you want straight, strong perique you can buy blending perique and use less oPG for soaking. You could also try chopping up the tobacco more. Louisiana Red is a good Va/Per blend to start with. The perique is downplayed some, but it is definitely there. Oh that's right, Virginia doesn't make good juice.

    .

No real recommendation for a home Net maker to produce a full flavored perique, maybe you should stick to popcorn pictures.

As far as $25k, that is a small investment if you are upstarting a large volume net business. Have you ever seen an estimate from a stainless steel pipe fitter?

Well, I've been busy all week and missed 21 pages of posts, however I checked my email last night and noticed that a package from NETCOM is due to arrive at my dropbox tomorrow. Fasttech's order seems like it might come at the same time. This should be interesting.

I've been wanting to try this "Pumpkin Pie Tobacco" for quite some time. I might just let the others steep....well, maybe except for the Bombay.

Note: I ordered everything 'Heat Extracted'. Fire at will.

It's not that I don't like cold macerations (I almost want to call them "Cold Mash" for whatever reason), it's just....

...last time, I got the heat-extracted and enjoyed it greatly.

I still want to try out MvJ's take on the Balkan. Any testers about?

BTW, KJD is definitely a superior wick to XC-116. I almost want to use the XC for citronella candle wicks or something, now.

I'll keep my post short, since I have some hard cider in me. I know I could probably talk the entire forum's collective heads off at this point, but working a full ten days on has really gotten me worn out. I think I'll sleep in tomorrow.

FWIW, I have no idea what my free 30ml is going to be. I just told Clay to "Surprise me, I guess." and asked for a small sample of the Blackberry Burley.

Anxiously awaiting their "Grand Re-opening", which I'm anticipating. Then again, there's a possibility of a sale after that happens.

    Who knows?

I really have no idea, and my gut feelings are not working properly.

Maybe it's just the cider talking?

    Only time will tell....:toast:

I'm usually cautious, but as with MVJ, something about SmugJuice caught me right.

Truth be told, if I had the time I'd be into the DiY movement doing straight-up just-the-tobacco-please extracts. But time is my enemy so I continue searching for par exellence commercial offerings.

Smug Juice is a little pricy, but pretty good. I've thoroughly enjoyed Branded and Hump. Both are solid ADV analog replacements. I've also tried the RY4 Extra, but it just doesn't taste like an RY4 to me. I still can't place the flavoring, but it definitely reminds me of something desserty (hazelnut or mocha maybe?). It also has a bit of that dry hay tobacco base - not as dry as HHV Gaia or Dark Horse, but I'm not the biggest fan of that kind of base. I've also tried their Smuggler's Blues, which is good, but a little steep in price for what it is. For that kind if chocobacco/cocoabacco genre, I'll take Deal Maker any day for a much lower price and cleaner performance.

I have some DIY home cold extractions going that should be finished in a couple of weeks. I've been trying to hold off on buying more retail until they're ready and sampled, but I too have been constantly searching for par exellence retail juice. One I've found recently that has blown my socks off is Real Extracts, LLC. I haven't been able to put them down. CowBoy and Turkish are so good and make perfect, just-the-tobacco-please analog replacements. They are liquid crack! CowBoy has unseated all of my former analog cigalike faves (Acadian Gold, Big/Organic Spirit, Branded, etc.), and Turkish is now my go-to Turkish (less sweet than Hump and a close rival to NETcom Sun-Cured). They are ridiculously clean on coils too for such rich NETs. I tried gunking with CowBoy and made it through three tanks (unheard of for me with NETs) before I noticed some buildup.

I would highly recommend Real Extracts. I've been in love with them of late and find myself yearning for their rapidly depleting bottles. The only thing I can't recommend is their price. $1/ml is too rich for my blood. I want more, but I'll be waiting for either a sale or their price to come down a little.

Can Real Extracts, LLC be added to the list of vendors on the first page?
