I tried about .25ml of a one month steeped Ashton Rainy Day juice from MVJ. On Japanese cotton running at 7 watts my first impression was, "well that was quite pleasant." A good separation of Burley and Cavendish with some Virginia sweetness. I'm not getting the Carmen Miranda hat of fruit flavors people described when smoking the analog. I did get some vanilla and something that resembles the essence of whisky in a dry woody way.

I would call it very pleasant and good for a pleasantly peaceful evening. It definitely has all day vape potential an if it stays this way it will be an eventual reorder.

Totally off topic but I meant to mention it in my earlier post. For everyone who showed me support about loosing my beloved old dog, he has rallied and is doing well. Still some coughing, but eating again back to just being a beloved old dog. It ain't his time yet and I cherish every moment..

thank you - back to regularly scheduled nets and currently drippers...

Thats awesome! Heres to hoping he continues to get better... And I know with the love and care you provide, he will. :toast:

I freaking love the Magmas. All 3 of them are dual coiled with 28g, 9 wraps, 5/64 mandrel running at .8 ohms. 3mg Nic is all I can handle in them for lung hitting with the dual 3mm air holes wide open and using rayon wick.

Here's some coil pics:

Beautiful Build... Wire Gizmo?

Do you lung hit with 24mg, regal? The sheer amount of vapor that the duals put out on the Magma when lung hitting chokes me, and the throat hit is unbearable for anything above 3mg.

I use 12mg on my KFL's on a daily basis but vape with a mouth to lung style of vaping.

I don't even cough it goes down smooth. If you really want something strong do an extract of C&D Mississippi Mud @24 mg. One toke and your good for 1/2 hour.

Ummm.. no thanks!

I'm just literally starting to wrap my head around lung hitting juices. The results are phenomenal to say the least. I still prefer the flavour profile I get with my 12mg mouth to lung hits but for the occasional S&G, I'll keep a few 3mg 100%VG juices around to lung hit. ;)

As far as lung hits go, I find that I enjoy a partial lung hit, then an exhale through the nose.

This seems to provide an even balance to keep from blasting my lungs; without bombarding them with Bombay.

I can get good results with 12, 18, 20; just depends on how stressed out I am and how much nic I feel like taking in.

A good nightcap is Coventry or Dover Court, anywhere from 12-20mg; nice smooth lung hits with the Dover Court, and a bit more bite with the Coventry.

With those two juices around, I really don't feel the need to order Vita Bella; Dover Court dethroned it, in my tastebuds' opinion. No offense to Nick/GeJ intended.

Plus, they go good with ice cream. Haven't tried them with hot cocoa, yet. That'll have to wait for the cold(ish) nights.

Now, lung-hitting BJ's Blackberry Burley is a treat. It's smooth and smokey on the inhale, and blackberry comes through on the exhale.

It also mixes remarkably well with other juices.

Anyhow, getting sidetracked;

Lung hits are not for everyone. I've seen more than a few smokers cough from taking them, and they do take a little time to acclimate your lungs to.

Little bit at a time... little bit at a time.... or you might wake up thinking you're getting a cold for no apparent reason.

I did finally get my order from NET.com in today... For me, Clay is still on probation right now.

When I got my initial ship notice last Thursday, it didn't have a tracking number so I emailed an inquiry. They answered late Friday about the shipping snafu and said they'd ship it one day priority to make up for it. I felt that was overkill and certainly too costly to be affordable. Saturday, I checked and no email with no update on the website. Sunday, they updated the website with a tracking number, but I didn't receive an email about it. Weds morning, my tracking number still shows only as "info received" which means they still haven't shipped it so I emailed another inquiry... I never got a response, but Thurs USPS did finally show the package had been dropped off. Today, it was delivered but again ... I still got no email about the inquiry I made Weds morning.

Since others here have reported better responses ... I do attribute my own experience to them being busy... but I don't like how it went so far. That being what it is...

I got my order and was still pleasantly surprised to find I also received three of Clay's ß e-liquids to try out and report back on if I chose to. These three are all french ciggy types and really show promise as far as I can tell. If the final products are anything close to what I vaped ( at only a week + old now )... those that like something light bodied like W2V's Pure Smoke ( sans the malty sweetness ) or something with a fuller body similar to W2V's Paris ( not quite as strong though )... will be in for a nice treat and they won't gunk like W2V's are known for. Of course, these being beta's... they may change or some may not make the cut also...

I'll revisit them in a couple of weeks after they've steeped a bit more. I won't be commenting too much on flavor... They all contain Latakia which taints my palate because I don't taste it the same as anyone else reports. Of course being ciggy blends, I'm not sure I'd be able to tell the different tobacco's apart anyway since they tend to meld into a single flavor.

With so many sources of airflow involved in the Plume Veil, I'm worried it would be too airy for me.

Tell me that I'd be buying the Plume 6 moths ago and I'd tell you you're loco. I was all about the tight draw for maximum flavor. Then in walks the Origen and the Quasar into my rotation and BAM, my habits changed completely. These attys provide outstanding flavor, even with wide open dual coil-ness. I've come to enjoy "moderately" substantial clouds (mostly as a by-product of the hardware) while still maintaining maximum flavor. Everything I've read so far about the Plume tells the same story. I'm a low nic wuss to begin with so these devices are right up my alley. I'd probably try a Mephisto but I can't get past the fact that it looks like an old milk jug. Vape vanity gets the best of me. Hahaha. The moral of the story is: with gear and trends changing literally by the day, It's almost impossible to say "I'm set with what I like."

Had the opportunity today to meet checkum and has wife today. They were supervising a bar-b-que competition in a nearby town so I drove up. Great folks! I hope to make it to their next bbq judge training and certification and join the St. Louis Bar-b-que Society. Checkum, I look forward to meeting again over some good que followed by some good NETs!:D

:2c: One of the neat things that happens, because of this thread, is a person gets to become friends with some others and share a common liking for a particular flavor note of a NET and is able to try, by trading, liquids many great vapes . Once in a while one gets lucky enough to meet face to face with a friend from this thread. I got the privilege, Sunday, to meet up with one of my favorite extractors, Johni.
A wonderful person to know and a plus that he knows so much about how to extract NETs.
Thanks ECF for helping me to stop analogs and meet some really great folks along the way! Hats of to all of you that have given up those nasty tasting analogs!!! :toast:

I always thought scubatdan has the coolest coil jig. It kept the tension on while turning and applying the torch at the same time. A perfect coil every time.

Hand wrapped on 5/64 drill-bit. Let's just say I've had some practice.. :)

Magma is the bomb Dust. It's got an adjustable air flow on a ring. Both single and dual coil. I haven't got my Plume Veil yet, but so far this Magma is definitely top dog in my RDA inventory.

All right, all right, stop already! Actually, you folks can keep up the uber-lovefest for the Magma RDA as long and as much as you like. That's your ECF-given right. It's me who has to be stopped. Sometimes I'm too easily seduced by my comrades, especially when you're all seemingly in unanimous agreement about whatever vaping toy is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Doesn't happen often, but when it does, I'm toast. A goner.

This morning I gave in (sigh) and ordered the 1:1 Magma clone with brass airflow ring from FastTech. 16 bucks with upgraded shipping. As if I need more gear...

I decided to go the FT route too with the Magma so I'll be ordering it soon along with some mechs. We can both blame everyone here if we hate it lol.

GoodeJuice' Organic Tobacco is currently my favorite tobacco blend. Just so delicious. Problem is, i am not experienced enough to tell what's in it. Does anyone know ? Much appreciated.

Their Analog and Wrangler Light leave an unusual taste/aroma on the exhale that i don't really like. I think it's supposed to be the Marlboro Light taste or something, but it doesn't quite capture it. Does anyone know what i am referring to, and if yes, is this a particular tobacco that does this ?

Mazinny,

If the Magma doesn't work out for me (for any of a hundred reasons), I won't blame anyone here, although your posting that is a good joke. No, if the Magma doesn't fly for me, it won't be the first 16 bucks I've blown (by a long shot) on questionable vaping toys, nor the last, quite probably. It'll be just one more in a long line of examples---as if I need more---that I too am vulnerable to the hypnosis of the Consumer Propaganda Hologram that massages us constantly with the hollow promise of achieving true happiness by buying stuff. LOL.

On the other hand, maybe I'll really dig the Magma, in which case having bought it for a relatively small amount of coin really will contribute to my happiness.
