Jerms, I think it's that old thing of whatever I like to eat from the Desserts section, I don't seem to like much in vape form. With that said, I like both Count Caramel and CWW a heck of a lot more than Vita Bella. :D

I know that I won't have any problem with finishing both those bottles, but they may not be re-orders for me.

With regards to steep time. The CWW is from 07/30 based on what Maz has told me. Does it need more before it wakes up? I have no trouble putting it away for a month or two.

It's at the age I loved it at. Not sure if further aging will change it much, the bottle I had didn't last all that long. As long as ya like it enough to vape I'd say keep at it to see if it grows on you more, though a couple more weeks of aging may help too.

Haven't been vaping much Latakia heavy English blends these days. Loaded up some of JohnI's Centenary in my Veritas, and the smoky Latakia smacked me! Adjusted quick enough, pretty sure I'll stick with this tonight.

If you get away from Latakia there is a learning curve coming back. When I first puffed on Drew Estate's Meat Pie I thought, "I singed the wick." Nope it was just Latakia coming back for a visit.

Yep, just like strong coffee. If I haven't had some kickin' coffee in a while, the first sip packs a wallop, but soon enough I'm in the groove.

I wouldn't personally call CWW a TINO, just a very small font tobacco. For my definition, TINOs are much more mysterious (hard to pin down what's being tasted), and CWW is pretty obvious caramel and much less impactful, but still noticeable, tobacco.

LOL, Jerms. I'll go with that. Yeah, the tobacco is yummy but rather small font. Actually, when I wrote my post, that's what I said first---LARGE FONT caramel and small font tobacco, but then I changed it. That'll teach me not to re-write my posts (no, it won't...).

Looks like you're the right person to pen the Dictionary of Natural Tobacco Thread Acronyms (DNTTA), complete with precise definitions. It'll be a best-seller.

Dusty,

7/30 is when i ordered it. It was from the xPress line, so If you look at the best by date on the bottle, i believe it was born a year before.

Ahlusion non-aromatics don't play like NET's to me. Even more than taste, the mouth feel is more reminiscent of synthetics to me. Some ( like CWW and Sahara Blend ) i like quite a bit, others ( Smooth Criminal and JG Blend ) not as much.

Best by 06/2015, so this thing is 3 months in..

I'm still vaping it though, so it's not repulsive or anything like that. It would have been washed out of the KFL last night if it was.. :)

You want me to handle this?

:sneaky:

Not that someone else couldn't- I have a bit of work to get done before I can sit down and type a gargantuan post (you'd be surprised how much time and detail each one of those darn things takes to make...or maybe not?) but I think that a small statement would suffice. When it comes to defending Clay, though... I might make a pretty big post.

You might say I've developed some bias after having several positive interactions & transactions with the man.

Talk to youns soon.

Another good point Bill, I fully agree. When I decided to exchange or PIF my extracts I made sure that every step I took was safe and accurate. If my label goes on the bottle it means that all of my equipment is stainless or glass as far as possible, including glass pipettes and syringes. All my measurements are done twice so that the PG/VG ratio and nicotine content on the label ensures that it is what it says. My extractions are now in glass jars and the only plastic utensil is the Aeropress, which gets a new filter each time it's used. Everything gets washed and wiped down with a damp isopropyl alcohol towel and air dried.

But still, extracting pipe tobacco and cigars has a risk. I don't know what ingredients are used in the flavoring of these tobaccos. So we all run that risk and I'm sure everyone who has received my extracts or juice understands that because all are members of this thread.

The difference for me is that, as an avid home-extractor of macerated tobacco, I'm concerned because other people vape NETs made from my extracts.

I don't really consider synthetics, tobacco's to be honest. There haven't been too many liquids that have been called 'synthetic' tobacco's by the vendor that i have liked, but i must say two of the one's that i have, have been MOV Americano and Outlaw, along with a couple from NLV and Johnson Creek.

I may try them sometime down the road when I need to replenish. For now I am fairly well stocked.

Sahara Blend? NET or Not? Another head scratcher that Maz sent me. :) Quite different compared to Wild Turkey but also enjoyable..

Both.. NET + synthetic. My guess is the Turkish is synthetic with steam distilled Virginia to round it out. Mostly tastes like a synthetic to me, and plays that way on coils as it's super clean. I really like it; pretty unique tasting hybrid.

Dusty, just went to their website to paste the description of their non-aromatics which until very recently stated that they are NET based but may have synthetic tobacco flavoring as well, but i just saw this which really surprised me :

Tobacco Blends

Aromatic Tobacco Blends (No longer produced/sold): Previously made in house, extracted through various methods from additive free natural or certified organic tobacco. The strength of the finished flavoring is slightly different for each batch, so there may be slight variations to the strength of the finished product. Every recipe is tested and adjusted for each batch to make it as close to the original control as possible. Our aromatic blends are no longer being produced or sold.

Non Aromatic Blends: As the name implies, these do not contain any tobacco extracts, just tobacco flavoring.

Not sure if they have changed the formula or the previous description was inaccurate or what !

Wow! They've always been pretty unclear with wording on the site. Not sure how the name "non-aromatic" implies they are tobacco flavoring and not extracts. Someone who talks to Wlad like Mann or Cherry should get the straight dope from Wlad next time they see him. It's been reported that Wlad has told people that the non-aros are steam-distilled, except for the Criminals which are processed similar to the aros.

Whether or not tobacco is actually used though, if the site implies that they're synthetic it may be worth discussing removing them from the NET list in the first post when the aros are no longer available.

The description i posted was from the FAQ section which has definitely been updated in the previous two weeks or so, but this from Smooth Criminal description :

While our non-aromatic blends are based on natural tobacco extracts (mainly various blends of light and dark Cavendish), the focus is not on the tobacco itself, but a blend or flavors in this recipe. The tobacco used in our non-aromatic blends is fairly neutral compared to our aromatic blends.

And this from the Sahara Blend description :

A group of flavors we started in early 2012 upon request is finally here; Our Sahara Blend is a mild mix of flavors from our slightly sweet Turkish blends mixed with bright Virginia notes. This is not an overpowering combination, making it suitable for a frequent vape when the mood strikes. Velvety smooth, without the harmful ingredients and burnt aftertaste of the chemicals which mask the true taste of tobacco.

Confused !
