What sucks about the X is I spent about 30 mins cleaning and over a thousand pounds of elbow grease. Hope dealing with FT about a replacement isn't too painful.

The Magma really is super impressive. I think I'm out of the hardware game for a while, I'm pretty set on mechs and drippers. Maybe pick up another Atomic and Magma and retire some lesser chimneys.

So, what exactly "broke" on the X?! :pop:

Hey all,
I was wondering if anyone has looked into, or if a thread has been started that may talk about any health issues associated with vaping NETs...I mean people get mouth cancer from chewing tobacco... I was curious..
The only thing I've noticed is that a few NET juices play hell with my sinuses.

The long term effects of vaping any natural flavoring is unknown, including NETs. Until more scientific studies are done we won't know of the potential risks. If your getting health symptoms vaping NETs, you may want to consider not vaping them unless the benefits outway the problem for you.

I have 16 extracts coming from MVJ. It looks like my next year of vaping is covered, if I like the flavor. The sad part is there are still at least 10 more I want to try. I don't know how I'll squeeze them all in. I guess I don't need to extract two more cigars right now. lol

Wow.. what all did you get?!

Not sure if threads got crossed, but the body is partially unscrewed and pretty much frozen in place.

I am sorry to hear about your misfortune.

I purchased my SXK Stingray X clone from Focalecig, and it's beautiful, hits harder than anything else that I own, and the switch is a dream. It took a minute to realize that, unlike my $19.99 SS Stingray clone from 101Vape, that I needed all 3 tubes to run 18650. Other than that, it's no hassle, fires-every-time magic magnetic button switch goodness. It replaced my M16 as my work device.

I am afraid to try to use the Plume Veil on it, since the 510 is a bit fat at the end and catches on the Stingray X threads; so I slowly back it out and throw the Magma on it instead. The PV clone does fit the SS Stngray's 510 without issue, but the copper in the X is soft, like aluminum, so I am protective ;)

My SS Stingray had a very crunchy button, but once I finally (like after 2 weeks -- duh), I wrenched down hard on the firing contact after taking it apart for the 10th time trying to fix it. I was afraid of damaging the delrin, but I needn't have worried. And now it's much smoother. Not as smooth as the X, but more like it was suppose to be.

I enjoyed some of NET.com's Black Cav in the Magma Sunday night. I kept over-nicc'ing myself, though. I only have it in 24mg, but I was falling in love with the flavor again for the first time with the Magma. I need to order some in lower nic soon.

Best of luck with FT, Jerms.

I am a late bloomer to try Organic Spirit from NETcom. I use to smoke American Spirits and this certainly resembles it in taste IMO. This is a great ADV for me and I can't say enough good things about it. The flavor is so smooth with just a slight sweetness to it (nothing over powering). This is authentic in taste and better than an analog. Of late every time I approach a 7-11 I want to stop to purchase a pack however I keep driving on. Could be Organic Spirit is the answer to this urge.

One of the things that helped me a ton was sniffing coffee. I don't mean chopping up lines and going all Steven Tyler. I mean open a bag of fresh coffee, stick your face down close to it and inhale through your nose and mouth. It is an old trick used by wine tasters and cheese tasters.

Vapor’s Tongue or Vapor’s Fatigue? | Mt Baker Vapor

Good idea. Some candle stores have containers of coffee beans throughout the store for their customers to sniff. Sniffing coffee beans between smelling candle scents neutralize the sense of smell allowing one to enjoy the next aroma. Taste and smell are closely linked so this suggestion is a good one to try.

Very easy to extract your own if you get into DIY. Easiest is to buy a pouch of roll your own but it can be done by stripping pack sticks.

The magma is just about perfect except the air flow control ring. First don't ever get upside down and right side up mixed up and dont mix up single coil vs dual coil with the AFC ring. Many of us have removed the AFC ring altogether due to these issues (I prefer a heavy draw.) Other than that it my favorite by far dripper it has unbelievable flavor and all around quality even the paradigm clone, don't even try to look for something better such an animal doesn't exit. Just stop now:)

My occasional problem with the Magma AFC ring is mis-orienting the single-coil section thinking I had the dual-coil alignment correct.

I've done that enough times to now automatically double-check that I have the AFC aligned properly.

I have Organic Spirit in one of my Nautilus Minis right now and I agree with you on the sweetness. It has a quality different from any other NETcom product I've tried.

Hardware report..

Stingray X: broke, ticket sent.

Origen V2: negative screws are hex; the manufacturer didn't feel a need to include a hex key and it's a size I don't have. Spent an hour trying to build it anyways but not gonna happen. Need to figure out the size and buy one, looks about 1.5mm or 1/16th inch. Err.

Magma: finally something I can use. Very easy to build; couple minutes after cleaning have a simple single micro ready to go. Lovely dripper. Loaded up Porch Rocker and the flavor is full, dense, saturated, and wet. Flavor is easily up there with my Atomic, maybe even a little better. Nearly leak-proof like the Veritas. Easy to adjust airflow. I've tried one 1mm, two 1mm as Dusty, and 2mm partially closed off; all work fantastic. Love it.

Origen v2 is 1.5mm..

Metric and SAE allen keys.. The metric goes down to 1.27mm (needed for some such RDA, I forget which now :)) http://www.harborfreight.com/36-piece-sae-metric-hex-key-set-94725.html

Nice, if you're just needing those as a set.

I use the Rosewill on pretty much everything.

I'm not sure if any of these is a metric equivalent to that product, but I've never had issues with their products/service (Harbor Freight or Newegg both- if you're into PCs, stick with Gelid Extreme as your TIM; superior to Arctic silver by a few miles :D)

I bet some noobs read about the drawers full of liquids and the boxes full of every atty and mod ever introduced on the market and wonder where we got the money to buy all this. Well, it's simple. Bill Gates knocked on our door years ago and convinced us to buy 1000 shares of his fledgling business for a song and a dance.....

Ha!

The truth is much simpler; quitting smoking more than pays for this hobby. Almost $5 a day saved over three and a half years means I could buy a couple dozen Reos and Provaris and still be ahead.

4.5 years ago I was paying over $10 a day for my pack a day habit. I'm well in the clear too. ;)

You youngun's had it good. Back in my day Ma would turn the handle on the windup and when the coil got good and hot junior would pour some juice on that there coil thingy and the whole room fogged up. Wasn't bad, but once we left that airtight shed our hair sort of stuck out every which way and trying to get the sticky washed out of it was a chore. Still, it beat my Grandaddy's method of pouring the juice on hot rocks.

In the good ol' days of 2010, we didn't have these fancy devices. We bought 510 atomizers, removed the bridges, and dripped. Wasn't until the drip shield that I no longer required the use of "dripping shirts." Yep, those days are gone. Gone is wasted money we spend on atomizers that would die from those filthy NETs and have to wait a week for replacements. Now I simply replace the cotton and dry burn my coils. Yep, you newbies have it easy.

Yep, you noobs have it way too easy. At my ripe age of 26 I remember those times we struggled. This itself, we can never forget.

PS: I was given an extremely late birthday check which allowed me to buy Want2Vape Managua and Coffee Infused Cigar (Tabak Especial). Dripping those on my .8ohm TOBH with my new sleek Fortune Mod (both of which are clones) makes the flavor and vapor much closer to an actual cigar.

The Perique Spirit is also really good. It's just hard to find a store that has them in stock. My daughter tried several stores before she found a place that had them. I'm getting low on the extract and I think I'll be getting two packs next time.
