Oooowah, that's a lot of extracts. You can make quite a bit 'o juice with those. If there's any Captain Black Royal in there, give it a shot if you like Cavendish.

I'm going to have to start making my own juice due to cost constraints. It's just how it goes.

Let us know which stands out as your fav; I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for good tobaccos to buy (never thought I'd be doing THAT again, heh) for extraction.

Visited the local liquor venue (before you ask why: brandy) today and noticed they had a few Rocky Patels floating around, but nothing stood out to me, because I'm honestly kinda stupid when it comes to cigars. I can, however, tell you very quickly if I try a very terrible extraction of a terrible cigar.

There are plenty of nasty, no-no's on that list. I can't even imagine.....yegh.

Cardboard and tobacco amalgamations, no thank'ya, I think I'll stick to my actual tobacco vapes and extracts.

Offense towards pretender products entirely intended.

Can you imagine how someone would respond to an extraction of one of those....those....things? You all know what I'm talking about.

It all started when someone asked me if I could extract the flavor of a Black & Mild.....

I told them no. It was a lie, but who would want to extract cardboard and glue to get to the flavor of whatever else is in there?

Honestly, I think Black & Milds are just some kind of blend of Cavendish and...something else. I'm more than happy with my MvJ Captain Black Royal or NETCom Black Cavendish. Still have a well-steeped bottle of MVJ's Captain Black Dark (which it has gotten with some age) and a touch of the Toasted Black Cavendish from Drew Estate (and a bottle of Sutliff Early Morning pipe tobacco. My MVJ stash is dwindling) which seem to be holding up well over time.

I wonder, is there a toasted golden Cavendish out there?

:)

Been vaping Smoked Leaf by NET.com for the past couple days and can't put it down. When I first seen it on their site I thought, hmm, this sounds interesting, got to try it as I really like that smokey taste from Latakia. Well, the Latakia is there but not the star of the show; just part of it. The other smoked and sun cured tobaccos in this have slight floral notes that when blended together bring out a somewhat vanilla essence. Kinda tastes like the inside of a pipe. There is also a strong tobacco room note with this blend. It is truly complex liquid which makes me feel like I am actually smoking a pipe (without the actual smoke). I should state that this is only after 11 days old (mixed date of 9/19). Gonna force myself to let it sit a while to see how it changes after a few weeks.

I think the reason I like this so much is it tastes kind of what I remember my grandfathers pipe smelling like. He has been gone since 1980 but his pipe smell is what I remember most about him. It really brings me back to some of the long road trips we had as a child when my grandparents would take us on vacations in the summer. There is something to be said about the nostalgia factor which this one nailed for me.

Hey guys,

I don't get much time to indulge in a good lengthy post on ECF. I am a regular reader spending a good portion of my train commute to work reading posts. Being on Tapatalk, it is difficult to punch out a good dollop of words to adequate convey an experience or a review with NETS.

Tonight, I was compelled to throng out a few more words than my usual 1 sentence belches on Tapatalk. I am compelled by the recent batch of liquids I got from Naturally_Extracted_Tobacco.com ("NET.com"). Seeing my order arrive in Australia just 6 days after my order posted was testimony of Clay's business returning back to full strength and stamping his mark on the NET scene once again to fill a void many of us have felt for a long time.

I have not sampled all the liquids I purchased but I did sample 3 or 4 of them. Spending so much time at work with the long commute results in my chosen juice delivery systems oriented towards the travel friendly portable devices which usually involve an Evod 2, an Aero Protank or a solid Cisco Spec atomizer for WTAs or for testing a range of liquids.

I've yet to vape a liquid from NET.com that I didn't like and that streak has not ended with the few liquids I have tried in the new batch. I tried 'dat caramel brownie in da pipe' in my Evod 2 and was very impressed. The tobacco presence in this juice is moderate to strong. I am finding that the taste is of an earthy Cavendish tobacco that is well balanced with the imbue of caramel and chocolate. Sometimes the blend of sweetened flavours come across as maple or syrup of some type. It is not a sweet vape, rather, the chocolate, caramel composition of flavours blend harmoniously with the cavendish providing a mild sweetness to the bold earthy tobacco.

I think the Cavendish still takes centre stage here with the caramel and chocolate accompanying it more as a background. In the past I've found the NET.com flavour infusions in some of the tobacco blends to be a little too dim and in the background. I do recall Boroscopes Mango Vanilla in its earlier form being a little too distant to satisfy those who wanted the Mango and Vanilla to take a more central role in the flavour profile of that liquid. I think Clay's flavour infused blends have evolved and matured since those early days of NET.com and he has the balance just right in this particular liquid.

Another new NET.com liquid I have tried is the Framboises et Vanilla. The description says this liquid is composed of Cavendish and Virginia with infusions of vanilla and a raspberry compote. That is quite a lively risque blend of flavours, sure to beguile the taste buds. This is an exquisite blend of flavours that intermingle quite nicely. For me, I get a fruity vanilla custard-y experience that reminds me a little of Vita Bella. It is a complex triumvirate of vanilla, raspberry and tobacco and it works well. The tobacco is more subtle in this one, allowing some of the various other infusions to make their presence felt on the palate. The vanilla is not only present but omnipresent. In the absence of the fruity overtones, the vanilla impact in this one states itself overtly and impressively. I think this one is going to develop nicely the more it steeps. Fromboises Et Vanilla might just be Chris's Blend audacious and flirty little sister. She is a seductively little vixen to say the least.

I have also tried the Air Cured Blackberry Burley which is inspired by the richer Uncle BJ's Blackberry Burley. The difference being that Uncle BJ's version has fire cured burley. This one is light, fruity and refreshing with that crisp dry burley experience. I am a big fan of NET.com's Air Cured Burley for it's analog cigarette likeness. Having it with a fruity infusion is a treat. I am finding the blackberry is more of a hue or a tint than a solidly felt flavour but it plays well with the crispness of the air cured burley.

It is all about the tobacco with NET.com. The tobacco presence and bite in every one of their liquids is exceptional. Even when the tobacco is light, it resonates with authenticity. Many of these liquids have tobacco presence in spades and an all day vape quality about them.

I have a bunch of others of the new offerings by NET.com which I am eager to try but in no hurry as I believe NET.com's NET's really blossom after a month or 2, and more so after 3-4 months as I have experienced with NET's from previous orders. I have the three French oriented liquids being Poilu, Gypsy Blonde and Gypsy Brunes which I will be trying in the next few days. I am sure there are going to be a lot of winners in the new releases by NET.com.

NET.com is back with a bang and judging by what little I have sampled, there are many winners in this new list of liquids to compliment the tried and tested pipes and cigars that were launched at the inauguration of NET.com.

Recieved an order of NET.com, they are definately back in business. I went straight for Big Spirit as I remember liking it before. I fillled up my magma and am enjoying the heck out of it. To me its a mysteriy, I can't figure out what the base tobaccos are? Is it Latikita? Or Burley?

American Spirit RYO is a cigarette blend. So, probably burley and virginia mainly.

Got my third order from NET.com yesterday. Picked up all the new Frenchies, gonna be painful waiting a couple of weeks for these to steep.

On another wondrous note, I took the Want2Vape bottles for another spin last night in between dremeling a mod shell and soldering a DNA30 board. The harshness I didn't care for has mellowed out drastically, especially London. I might have to pick up a couple of bottles of MOV again, and just store them in a closet for 3 months untouched.

Hearth and Home Signature - Stogie Pipe Tobacco

Tobacco:Burley, Cavendish, Cigarleaf, Latakia, Perique, Turkish, Virginia

This juice has a lot of the tobaccos that I love, but damn is it total mayhem when vaping it. Left side of brain screaming Cigar. Right side of brain singing Pipe. La la la.. End result = Total confusion.

I've quieted both sides down enough so that I can actually try and understand this juice a little better. There's the dryness and familiar cigar feel to it, but there's also all those other notes that play along. The slight funk of the Perique, the bitter smokiness of the Latakia and in lesser quantities, the other tobaccos with a slightly spicy finish. The cigar leaf is definitely the top note in this juice, and as such I'm not it's biggest fan but, it makes for an interesting vape for sure. Interesting but not something I'd order again, maybe. ;)

Dusty,

I might put in a small order with Diane for the new generation liquids with more flavour. What do you recommend? The Stogie sounds wonderful.

From my last batch, Drew Estate Heirloom Cherry, Sutliff Private Stock Charlemagne and Hearth & Home Louisiana Red. You must try these.. I ordered with extra extract.

The Davidoff samplers that Diane included, were ai'ight but not quite up my alley.

Edit: Hold on a second Mister! Are you done with that 5 Litres of juice that you have stashed away for the last 4 years?! :sneaky:

I've given spaced wraps micro coil a try again, and finally noticed the slower gunking others have reported. The spaces are small, but still enough for the coil to heat evenly instead of center out like compact coils. I've vaped a several Magma bowlfuls of RBFS and a few of John's Centenary with little gunking so far. The vape seems different, though I can't pinpoint exactly how, but I'll stick with it for a bit to give it an honest try.

Speaking of the Magma, I'm going to rebuild it with higher resistance. At 1.06 ohms, it's kicking hotter and harder than other drippers at lower resistance. A good thing, higher resistance equals better battery life on a mech.

I believe that as of now... Diane has only updated some of the cigar line with her new method... I don't think she's revised the pipe line yet... Of course, a quick email to her can verify it.

I have the three French oriented liquids being Poilu, Gypsy Blonde and Gypsy Brunes which I will be trying in the next few days. I am sure there are going to be a lot of winners in the new releases by NET.com.

The French-cig style blends are amazing fresh OOB. I've found that they don't even need a steep and that the flavor has been relatively consistent since I received them (wow, been over 30 days.8/19 mix date) up to now, however, the receipt of the magma recently has really brought out the enjoyment factor and crispness of the juice (I did drill double-twisted 32awg; wrapped around a bigger bit whose dimensions I cannot recall at the moment). Using a contact coil, working really great through and resisting gunk admirably (all twisted wire seems to resist gunk better. I wonder if it has to do with the slow heating and cooling process that twisting creates? I tried triple but it was 'meh' as far as the heating times, so I just pulled it) so I'm going with a ....am I on my 6th refill or 7th with this wick? I forget.

Anyhow, it has FC Blackberry Burley in it and the next fill will have something to do with Smoked Latakia. I find that it has a bit more "smokey" presence over the "Latakia 'bite'" most are experienced with, in its single varietal form. If you like FCB, the single-varietal Smoked Latakia is right up your alley: especially if you enjoy Latakia.

I don't find fire-cured to make a flavor too intense, in fact, I find the Blackberry Burley to be relatively mild in comparison to Balkan, or even Poilu.

Seems to "smooth out" the flavor by imparting a more smokey smoothness right off the bat.

NETCom makes what I would consider to be the best fire-cured / smoked tobacco offerings around.

NET tRY4.1 has some fierce competition when it comes to GJ4, though. I've had both and I'm teetering towards throwing some other extracts in there, just to see what happens. GJ4 is a bit of a gunker compared to tRY4.1, and if my memory of appearances is correct, looks to use some kind of fire-cured tobacco in its base. It's awful dark stuff, but vapes well.

tRY4.1 from NETCom is a light juice, in comparison. It's also a lot easier on the coils; I'm going to do some tinkering around with the flavor and see what happens.

But yeah, honestly, I can't really tell a difference between steeping and not, except with synthetic tobaccos and flavoring.

Once in a while, I get a juice that has some change while steeping, but I vape them as I go, so it's harder for me to tell. A drastic change is obviously more of a green leaf in a white forest; it's a telltale sign that that juice needs to be given some time in the "tobacco tea timeout" bin.

As long as we are on the topic of NETcom, I have the three liquids that AnthonyB talked about. I have already polished off my 30 mls of Air Cured Blackberry Burley and have yet to try the ‘Dat Caramel Brownie in’da Pipe’ and Framboises et Vanilla plus a few other new ones (Deep Caramel Pipe, Fresh Ground Mocha Café, Orange Blossom Honey and N-E-T Custom Va/Per Blend). I was glad to read that he found the chocolate and caramel in ‘Dat Caramel Brownie in’da Pipe’ not overpowering and sweet as this was somewhat of a concern for me. Based on his reviews I look forward to trying these after they have had a chance to age. Thanks AnthonyB for your reviews.

Yeah, I'm not sure that she has updated the pipes either. What I experienced with this batch vs the previous was that the juices were stronger, more flavourful out of the gate and slightly more gunkier compared to the first batch of Gen 2's that I received. Whether Diane added more extract, or changed the process along the way, I'm not entirely sure.

Keep in mind also that my first order of Gen 2's was for 4 cigars and 4 pipes, so my impression that this batch is stronger could be based on the fact that the 4 cigars were that much weaker.
