Off topic..

We were speaking of "premium" juice brands the other day. Well, have a few bottles of Suicide Bunny coming from this awesome 52% off sale at Home page.

About $10 per 30ml bottle, worth a try and a chance for me to get more 6mg juices. The only flavor I've heard of is Mother's Milk. I have QnJ clone of it called Klone and I like it. Also got The O.B. and Claim Your Throne. Picked up another 18350 for less than $3 (limit 1).

Some cool stuff for dirt cheap but selections getting smaller as they sell out. Check it out!

Edit, free shipping too

I tried all the SBs and King's Crown at a local shop. I preferred the OB to Mother's Milk. Granted, testing there it was probably new juice and through a tester unit. OB is the only one I've bought and I keep going back and forth liking it and thinking it's a little much on the subtle side but, at that sale price they're worth trying. I'd try some more too but I seriously dented my piggy bank this morning at the MVJ sale...hehe.

That's right, big news indeed. I've never found an extract, made myself or traded, that comes close to Patriot. Even tried extensive experiments mixing single varietals. No dice. Patriot is the one commercial NET I'll buy when there's a sale. The last 50% off sale I stocked up but it didn't last long. Vita Bella is another juice I stock up on. A top tier, excellent juice.

I doubt it; as Bill says Patriot is pretty unique. MVJ uses commercially available pipe blends while GeJ works with a tobacconist to create blends specifically for extracting to make a NET. Not saying there isn't a commercial pipe tobacco that's similar in flavor to Patriot when extracted; if there is and one of the home extractors finds it, it would be big news here!

Thanks. I see where you guys are coming from now. Your talking about the tobacco leaves' cells aside from the flavor molecules. By breaking down the cells by freezing you theorize it may help release the flavor molecules if I'm reading into it correctly. That's all fine and well for the plant cells but what effect will the freezing have on the tobacco and casing flavor molecules? The plants have living cells but it's different for the chemical and crystal configuration of flavor molecules which react differently from living plant cells.

So. I haven't found any reference, at all. In my google fu. To using freezing of the mash as the actual maceration method during an herbal tincture diy. Further , the tobacco was dry before I got it and the vegetable glycerin kept it from actually freezing. I think this line of experimentation can come to an end. Id rather find out things like wether or not heating and then allowing it to cool and reheating it is doing anything more than wasting electricity.

In other news i pulled 1ml from each of the heated batches for later comparison and another ml for taste testing. I made one batch at 14% concentration with the captain black and black cavendish mixed equally. 50/50 pg/vg. Very tastey. I'll keep my taste buds in top shape to see if i note any flattening of the sweetness or other flavor dulling over time.

I plan on using this on a single leaf extract so there will not be a casing flavor. As for the tobacco flavor itself, the only way I will know is to try and it and compare it to my cold maceration of the same leaf. I will also see how fast my coils gunk compared to a straight cold maceration. Honestly, that's my biggest concern is extracting more plant material then normal.

Mazinny's review of NET.com Fresh Ground Mocha Cafe is spot on.

When I read the description of Fresh Ground Mocha Cafe, I thought I like coffee check, I like Cavendish check, I like Virginias check and given a choice I like dark chocolate check. With four check marks how could I go wrong. I do not drink my coffee with cream and sugar so it was a pleasure to get a true coffee flavor. The dark chocolate is subtle and as dark chocolate goes, it did not add sweetness to this blend and if anything the slight sweet taste is probably coming from the Virginias. The addition of the Cavendish and the Virginias makes this an ADV for me. All flavors play well together. Everything about Fresh Ground Mocha Cafe is just perfect for me.

There are a few natural tobacco vendors that make a 100% VG (including the extracts) if you have a lookabout. Heathers Heavenly Vapes is one of them and I know there are others too, though I don't have names.

Well today I found out why I have a tickle in my throat, a slight cough and chest congestion.
No, not a cold.....I developed an allergy to propylene glycol. If you get these symptoms, better check it out.
The doc said E cigs with Propylene glycol OR extracts made with it can cause a reaction in some individuals.....

Hello Chaps n Chapesses. I've been so busy lately I could cry. But! Am caught up now. Been such a while, I hardly dare ask "what's new"!
I Hula!

Hmmm new.. O boy lol. I'll mention a few off the top of my head.

Ahlusion no longer a NET vendor. The aros are no longer sold, and according to Wlad the non-aros never contained tobacco.

NETcom is back, and seems like Clay has his poop in a group again. Lots of new offerings getting good reviews.

MVJ has the biggest selection of commercial pipe and cigar extractions. The huge cigar list has some fans, while others found them too subtle. The flavoring has since been increased.

Out of the newer NET vendors, RBFS has made the biggest impression on many. Their up with GeJ as my personal fav NETs.

Several proficient home-extractors on this thread.

As far as non-juice content; lots of Magma love around here. Spaced coils and rayon being used by several. Lots if curiosity about the new DNA40 with it's nickel wire and temp control.

As usual, lots of new faces with some old faces vanishing. Thread's still rockin' along, slow days followed by busy days.

There's more, but that covers a lot. Nice seeing you pop in!

Thanks Jerms! Mr. Mann sent me some RBFS samples, and I found them a little too subtle for my palette - except Porch Rocker and I did order that one. Aros not being sold is gonna be a blow to a lot of people. Oh well, life moves on and there will be someone else before long. I think I'll have to give MVJ a try. And as to the self extractors, Bravo! (specially Bill, nom nom nom) Uh.....did that come out the way it was meant to?

Can we discuss the vendor list on page 1? , i think it needs a shakeup. The "too recent" deserve tier lists and the others should get a vote as well. Who has tried what? I think ethervapes should be A listed and Indigo B list (i got the sample pack and it had some fantastic stuff some even all day vape worthy but it all tasted...too sweet for my palate)

Yeah, Bill's a pretty tasty dude.

I will give my opinion on anything brought up if a conversation happens; I've had a few of the new ones. Heading out for a bit now though.

Thanks, Hula!

I'm so glad you enjoyed your swap package of homemade NETs.

I feel camaraderie rather than competition with my compatriot home extractors. I do seem to have a certain "feel" for macerated extractions, but good luck (especially in choosing tobacco blends to extract) plays a major role. And making extracts is sooooo easy!

The HoL Puros Naturales you sent me was interesting. I'm vaping 12mg nic now, so I plan to Frankenjuice that bottle in with a 1:1 mix with one of my own cigar extracts to cut the nic in half. I've done that with a number of my old 24mg retail NETs, and the results are often surprisingly good, giving new life to old doggies. Even when the mix is a bust and I end up pitching the failed blend, it's no great loss, since I wouldn't vape the 24mg originals anyway. Between 4 liters of my own homemade extracts and 400ml of swapped extracts from my friends, I have enough to keep me in NETs for a long, long time.

I'm so spoiled now by high-quality homemade tobacco extracts that buying retail NETs has become a thing of the past for me. Needless to say, the savings are very substantial. The same applies for me with non-tobacco juices. I'm completely committed to DIY at this point, and happy as a clam about it.

Honestly, I don't think the commercial sellers of macerated NETs make anything substantially better than the juices I've tried from both you and Johni. If I vaped nothing but NETs, I'd be quite satisfied with the stuff you guys make all the time.

Now if I could persuade you guys to start working on some blueberry vanilla cake and caramel pear black tea!

They don't post their ingredients....I have no idea what their pg/vg ratios are, or what medium they extract in.......If vendors don't label what's in their juice they can hardly ..... if the goverment steps in and forces them to.
$1 a ml ? They are pricing themselves out of my range. I didn't even order RBFS until Vaping Watch had their 25 % off sale.

I'm having a very similar experince....I've tried Walker's finest and clay packards juices, and they are very good, but honestly they aren't any better than juices I've extracted myself.
