Vanilla Skye is sweeter but glad you like the Vanilla Royale! Sometimes my aros don't turn out as described but I am finding steeping makes the flavor come out. Not older - just better!
Does anybody have any hints on dealing with 100% VG juices? I've got a few laying around and I'm thinking I may be doing something wrong here. I've let them sit a month, but it doesn't seem to be helping much. They all come across with a caramelizing sugar inhale and barely any flavor output. The flavors seem completely buried under the taste of sweetness. One is a complex aromatic and it seems like all the flavors were balled up and dunked under a see of syrup. The other I tried today is complex English blend. There are faint hints of Latakia and Perique. The spicyness is making me sneeze, but the depth of the mix is missing under the sweet taste of syrup.
Help!!!! Should I go with smaller wicks to improve flow, or shake the juice for a full minute instead of thirty seconds, or . . .

MVJ's Davidoff Scottish Mixture (1 month steep)
This blend showcases it's Virginias with pride on devices with an open airflow. With a tighter draw the Virginias tuck back into the mix. Either way, if you're a Virginia fan this is a must try. The sweet Virginias are buttery and a touchy zesty or grassy providing a great complement to the earthy and sometimes woody flavor of the Scotch. Orientals peek in and out to highlight the top end while a delicious burley gives the blend body and depth that ties it all together.
This is definitely a 4.5 star blend in my book. After my less than amazing feelings about the Davidoff Flake Medallion blend I was surprised how well this one worked for me.

Ha! at 3 months I prefer Flake Medallion to the Scottish Mixture. 70/30 PG/VG running at 12W on a pretty open draw ErlPrinz. You've described the flavours much like how I experience them too, but I still give the nod to FM over SM.
It continues to amaze me how different folks experience different juices and flavours.
What settings/topper are you running it at?
I used an Evod battery (3.7 volts) with KGD rewicked Kanger T3ds at 1.5 - 1.8 ohms for the FM. For me it made the Cavendish the front runner of the show. It acted like a huge mute button in the middle of the mix. On the other hand I think mine never made it past two months. For the SM I used the same set up for part of the day and an MVP 2.0 at 7.5 - 9.0 watts for the end of the day. The MVP brought the flavor together more and really improved the saturation rate. There is a big difference in the air flow rate between the MVP and Evod. It usually makes for a pretty noticeable change in flavor profiles. So, the FM might be better on some devices than others.
Could you talk a little about WalkerT NETs for me, such as why you like them, what you vape them on, and their performance on coils?
I have a couple bottles from a while back that someone sent me. The juice just baffled me. Thick sludge, like it was pure, undiluted, barely filtered extract. My coil almost immediately gunked up. The flavor was very muddled. After just a couple vaped the coil was so gunked it was more like literally smoking than vaping.
It has me wondering, have they changed them since to be more vapable? Did I vape them wrong, should they be diluted first?
lol, I guess this is the meaning of 'taste is subjective'. First of all I don't think he has changed the liquids from what you have, they are the thickest gunk-producing juices I have ever encountered. I vape them on drippers with cotton, seems like most on the FB group do the same, and just got used to burning and rewicking a few times a day. There are some tricks, like wrapping wider diameter and spacing out the coils, but basically yeah, these liquids are rough on the atty. In general best results at .6-,8 ohm in a flavor atty like the Veritas or Magma. Some ppl use Walker's on genesis w/ mesh, which I am planning to try.
As for taste, to tell the truth, I was also baffled at first. I ordered from him after watching ZVaper's review and then seeing what a fan club he had on FB. When I first tried one (in a Trident v1) I asked myself what I was missing, I felt I couldn't really taste much. After a few mls though my taste buds adjusted and I was sold. The flavors come out subtle and organic, there is almost never one note that overpowers the others, it's just very earthy and real, well-balanced, and lets good tobacco speak for itself without anything else mucking around with it. Some of the cigars are on the lighter side, and I can see how one could describe Ten Blend (a pipe blend) as muddled, but in my experience a tweak in the setup makes a big difference. I don't want to come off as a fanboy, I just haven't found any other liquids that I like nearly as much, and that is definitely not meant as a knock on other NETs, which I do also vape and enjoy. On the other hand, he more or less ruined synthetics for me - custards are just about the only synthetics that I still vape regularly.
So out of curiosity, which of his liquids do you have and what did you try them on?
Thanks much for the info. I can see there's no reason for me to try them again lol. I have Patel's The Edge and Easy Times and I use rebuildable drippers with KGD cotton or CelluCotton rayon.
I can almost guarantee you'll find something to like about W2V's Signature Blends such as London Blend, Paris, and Louisiana Blend. They are gunky, too gunky for many here, but not nearly at the level as WalkerT. Very dark, potent, high impact tobaccos with no other additives.
I've never used a T3D, but I'm guessing like a lot of clearos they just don't play well with all VG juice. May want to try thinning the juice with distilled water. A more loose wick may help the flow if you don't want to thin the juice.

I never did get a hold of Easy Times. The Edge was not my favorite but still a pretty good representative of what his cigar liquids are like. And yes, many thanks again for the W2V recommendation! They don't ship abroad, and their re-seller who does didn't have any 6mg strength (second NET vendor in a row I have encountered this with, argh) but I went ahead and ordered anyway, London and Paris from the signature line, + some Alcazar and Blond. Looking forward to trying them out.

Hope I didn't steer you wrong! I'm sure you'll find the tobacco impact to your liking as they are some of the most potent commercial NETs available, so will be a matter of if those particular tobacco blends match your preferences. At the least they should be a workable distraction until your WalkerT order arrives.

But from what I saw I imagine at least some of them will fit the bill. Paris I ordered on a lark, I don't normally look for 'cigarette' flavors but I did used to enjoy Gauloises so I figured I'd give it a go. Funny how that works, when I was a smoker I smoked major-brand cigarettes, and it's only as a vaper that I've developed an interest in quality tobacco.
Mike, straight VG juices will be much sweeter, I usually run 50/50 or 25/75 on mine since refining my Home Extracts. The T3, while a good tank, could bring the sweetness forward, I'd suggest trying them using an atomizer, disposable or rebuildable, and see if some of the Tobacco steps forward.

Same here. Interest in quality tobacco only became a hobby of mine through vaping. Before tobacco was just that stuff in the cigarettes I was addicted to.
Never smoked a pipe. Not sure if I'd care for it much, though pipe tobacco NETs are my favorite. I prefer enjoying pipe tobacco as God intended, by extracting it's goodness and vaping it

Cool, I look forward to your impressions. Wonder if they do the extractions themselves and what method is used. Do they taste like macerations? I'm not sure if there's a way to make a nic free product using the maceration techniques we're familiar with. Does the product need to be lab tested as nic free to sell in Australia?
I have this sampler pack from Nirvana Vapor that I bought.. I forget when, during a sale. Haven't tried them yet, so today I dripped the one tobacco that's included; Ohm, which is a honey artibacco.
Like most synthetic honey tobaccos it tastes like cat piss, and leaves the stinky smell in the air of a homeless man who's wet himself several times since the last change of underwear. Urine for a golden shower of notes here. If you can look pass the pissy honey (which I can, I've vaped my share of pissy honey vapes) there's some interesting things going on.
I bet there's a decent arti underneath the tangy piss. Seems very 'premium', whatever that means. I'm sure the non-baccos in the sampler will fair better, the exotic recipes like spiced coconut milk and pomegranate boba tea with lychee jelly. Ohm though won't be reached for unless I'm feeling freaky and/or kinky.
