The 30 mls I got tasted like dishwater and after 6 weeks it still does.

Let Vash know your’s tasted like dishwater because I cannot do anything to make it taste better. I wouldn’t say mine tasted like dishwater and instead the flavor was downright weak.

That would find the bottom of my bin so fast, it wouldn't even realize it was on it's way there.. :D

You are kinder than me. Mine will not make it to the back of the bin and instead will hit the trash so fast it will not know what hit.

Seriously what disappoints me the most is that I supported making EV an A Tier vendor. I could be wrong however I don’t recall that there was anything on the website that mentioned a change in nicotine vendor as well as what this meant. I find this xxxxxxxxxx (fill in whatever word you like) especially from an A Tier vendor. Even if there was mention, I have no idea who VaperStek is nor how their nicotine is different from other brands. My understanding is VaperStek = no throat hit although I don’t know how this equates to overall taste/flavor. The DiYers may know better about this nicotine brand as well as how different brands of nicotine differ and how it impacts the taste of an eliquid.

I have taken my 20 lashes guys, I am bruised to no end  This is the end of Confederate.

Whats that old saying? "Dont fix what isn't broken"

He's pretty active in all the forums and such and he saw where things were heading as far as diacetyl etc , started offering diacetyl free flavors which of course meant just stopping production on a few things (for instance you can't really get custard without it) , well the backlash from customers was immediate. They didn't give 2 toots from a kangertank about popcorn lung risks they just wanted their old favorite treats!

So now he offers the flavor profiles both ways.

Hadn't heard of vaperstek until this and its odd you all report it lacks throat hit , i just went to the site and it has "throat hit" in the product name.

I don't know what to say other than to let Vash himself know of your displeasure. I do know he is trying to be all things to all people and perhaps that is not possible. But if you let him know what you don't like, at least he will know and can deal with it however he can.

Edit: he did listen and now offers 2 nic options. Throat hit (his original nic) and smooth (the Vaperstek). So he is trying.

Sliding back into my corner now...

The liquid nic that Kevin at VapersTek processes and sells is sourced from ultra-pure British-made nicotine. Regular Vaperstek nic is very clean-tasting and does indeed have less throat hit than many other brands. Some vapers swear by it, since it's so smooth and doesn't alter or mask the taste of other flavorings. Last year, Kevin made a batch that came out less pure (by mistake), and, rather than throw it out and take the loss, he decided to sell it at a steeply reduced price as "dirty" nic. Some of his customers (me included) liked it---it's not as "clean" as standard VT nic, but it has less pepperiness and "flavor coloration" than nics offered by many other popular vendors (MyFreedomSmokes, WizardLabs, RTSVapes, etc.). So, Kevin now offers it as a second version, which he calls "Throat Hit Nic."

That's what you saw when you went to the site, but you missed the regular VT nic, which is what was being discussed here.

[EDIT: Turns out that regular VT nic is temporarily unavailable. See my post below for more info.]

No, it's not odd; your research was incomplete.

Sorry, I guess I'm pretty dense, but on VapersTek I can only find this one page offering no choice that I can see betwixt the two types of Nic. you've mentioned. Nicotine - Vapers Tek

About a month and a half ago I got the 120ml. 100mg. product and it is just as peppery and frankly irritating as the stuff from VZ, WL and a couple of others, over the last 4 years about.

Is there another Nic. selection available on VT's site? Or, is there a known and recognized source for pepperless Nic.?

Thanks.

It's a temporary snafu on inventory at VapersTek. Pretty major, given that the pure liquid nic is VT's main product. No wonder you and KPS257 didn't find it.

Here's the explanation for the glitch that Kevin, VT's owner, posted 11 days ago on the Vaperstek thread:

"Hello all.
I am waiting on my new batch of nicotine to arrive. should be here the last week of January. We cut down on inventory near the end of the year for tax purposes and While I worry about dry goods, nicotine totally slipped my mind. We will be up and running very soon."

post #593 by K3vin, 20 Jan 2015, VapersTek thread

A considerable number of vapers who DIY are interested in non-peppery, neutral-tasting liquid nic. The best resource on ECF for information about that is the thread Nicotine Comparisons. It's a long thread, started in 2012, with more than 2,000 posts, so, unless you want to wade through the entire history, try picking it up from about three months ago. The link below will take you to the first post in the thread:

Billherbst – thanks for the links you provided. I started at the last page of the Nicotine Comparisons link and did not go further back. This answered my question that nicotine taste different from brand to brand if I have correctly interpreted what I read. My assumption then is that possibly it could trickle down and impact the final eliquid product taste depending on how strong a taste the nicotine has or does not have as well as possibly the nic mg level used. I am by no means an expert or even close to being an expert on this topic and this is just my thoughts.

NotSoMini,

No need to be a nic expert---I'm not either, just an experienced user with 5 liters of 100mg/ml liquid nic in my freezer (MFS, RTS, WL, VT, and Heartland). LOL.

What you wrote---that different brands of liquid nic may/will have varying effects on the final taste of eliquids---has a strong consensus among many, many knowledgeable vapers. In fact, I know of no one who would disagree with that statement.

I would suggest this would be true of the base VG and PG also. Heck even liquor, water and milk when bottled by different manufacturers, via same processes tastes different. And can taste different from day to day and hour to hour.

I don't have a problem with the throat hit, it's the flavor, which is completely missing. Something went wrong with this bottle I got. The Vanilla Skye on the other hand was pretty tasty. All in all I think I'll just stick with GeJ with occasional forays to what you guys suggest. Maybe W2V if I'm feeling frisky.

Some NET juices are just so unique I don't mind buying them even though I'm flush with my own NET's. I'll never make a Patriot or Vita Bella

This sums up my position, loads of my own NET's, but I'll buy a few bottles of Vita Bella which is about all. The exception was ordering net.com's Grilled Pineapple after all you guys were touting it, threw in a bottle of Sun-Dried Turkish, Air-Cured Blackberry Burley and Sour Apple Perique. Following this thread can be a double-edged sword sometimes.

New look Tapatalk! I likey. For some reason I was unable to access tapatalk for the last week probably due to the significant updates. I downloaded it again and am back.

Anyway, my order from Ethervapes is very close to arriving and I am looking forward to it immensely.

My main liquid purchases consist of Confederate, Top Leaf, Gold Leaf, Vanilla Skye and Dark Skye with the custard spiced vanilla and other NETs in 10 ml sized.

The service I have received from Vash is astonishing. Not only has he baby sat me through the entire order process but he has also been incredible generous in his gesture of sending me a replacement package if I am not happy with the new super smooth nicotine base he begun to add to his juices in place of the original nicotine.

I can't yet vouch for the liquids but one thing is for sure, Vash has made the entire process of ordering a pleasure. For having spent $100 USD I also got a free bottle of liquid and free shipping even though I live in Australia.

My package from try US to Australia took only 7 days!

The people I meet in the vaping community are some of the most mature and benevolent. It shows just how government intervention and regulation doesn't always lead to honest and safe practices and sometimes, as as is the case in the vaping industry, the people, vendors and their practices operate with fairness and integrity in a market that regulates itself through feedback and word of mouth.

The lack of government regulation in this regard has, so far, led to this wonderful connection of people, both vendors and users, who rely on feedback, reviews and a network that has seen the evolution of what the vaping industry today.

I fear this will be lost if the government steps in and corporat-izes vaping. Hopefully the great vendors like Vash and others, the ordinary everyday good blokes and women of the vaping community who put in so much effort, will still factor significantly when the chips are down.

I was pondering gov reg last night. Hypothetically theyd require class 10000 clean rooms as thats what they use for aerosol medications but it seems like overkill to me. Hepa filtration? Really? Im pretty sure general practice is to not leave a 5 gallon jug of pg with the lid off as it is

Amen to that...said while looking at the 20 or so bottles on my work desk

In an attempt to get rid of my a little bit of this and a little bit of that bottles of NETs, I started with 3.5 mls of Deep Caramel Pipe. When this got down to ±1ml, I added the balance of my Pure Virginia letting this also go down to ±1ml. Then added the balance of Dover Court. Not tasting bad but at the end no recognizable tobacco for me . I did empty three bottles though so there was a happy ending.
