Yes, he's quite the character. I do however find his coil build videos very informative, especially when doing them on a new rda/rba. For some other reviewer to call him out on unproven allegations is something else. I watched Twisted's so-called " proof " video and found Twisted to be rather disingenuous to say the least. The dude has a weird trait of accusing and then quickly laughing and waving his hands in a " just kidding " manner. All in all a rather big stain on the reps of Twisted, Matt and Joe.

In other news I'm vaping some H&H Vermont Meat Candy after a five day juice steep. So far, I get the maple and bacon, burley and hickory smoke not so much. I'll have to come back to it in a couple of weeks and run the juice through several set-ups and see what's what.

It seems that an app developer asked Rip to endorse his product. Rip asked for 2% equity. Twisted420 called Rip out on Reddit and VU. Sort of nasty saying Rip is a POS and should be kicked out of the vaping community. Then Matt from SMM and Joe from VU jumped on the bandwagon accusing Rip of taking money for good reviews. The proof would be coming the next day in a video by Twisted. Turns out there was no proof and asking for equity is readily acknowledged with endorsements. Lots of back tracking now after the backlash at the trio. Rip answered saying he never would accept money for doing a review, good or bad. So right now it looks like the tawdry trio shot themselves in the foot in an epic fail trying to tarnish another reviewer's rep.

I wasn't familiar with Twisted420 but I watched the video and found the guy kind of scary and disingenuous. He accuses Rip of having fake subscribers and then laughs, does this weird hand wavey thing and says just kidding. He did it several times, making an accusation and then the kidding thing. Bit shady to me.

I actually did tell him that a lot of home extractors have been cold macerating for a long time ! He asked me how i heard about them and i told them about this thread. After hanging up i sent them an email with a link to the first page of this thread where all the NET vendors are listed, to make sure they know they aren't doing anything ground-breaking. He did respond, acknowledging the email and thanking me for the link.

Maz, you probably broke his heart!:lol:

Got my latest NETcom order in. Just trying the Sour Apple Perique. I know, steeping and all that but I'm always so curious I have to try something right away. It's definitely a unique flavor. The strongest flavor is the apple, obviously, which is very nice. There's another note in there (the perique surely) but I'm not sure how to describe it. I have to say that between MyVapeJuice, EtherVapes and NETcom, I like NETcom the best. Coventry was a big winner for me and I really enjoy 'Dat Caramel Brownie in Da Pipe? as well. I'll probably give the others a try in a couple of days then try to set them aside for a month before really digging in.

I've wanted to try that but, apple and my taste buds don't get along well. It sounds intriguing though.

Hello to you too, Sir!

Total conjecture on my part -- I'm guessing that Black Note is competing in the retail space, where the price is normal. That would explain the slick marketing and packaging. In the SoCal market specifically, NETs can't be found in the majority of most shops. There's an opportunity there, for sure. Compared to local NET vendors True Leaf and Trabuco, Black Note's packaging is more attractive.

On a broader note, I do find the SoCal bubble pretty entertaining. There are so many vapers, shops, and vendors that are only familiar with what's available here. Most vapers I see regularly are unfamiliar with the companies that are often discussed in this thread. On the flip side, several companies that are huge deals in SoCal are rarely mentioned in ECF.

Living in SoCal I couldn’t agree with you more. There are so many people making eliquids here so they shop the B&Ms. Based on peoople I know that vape they are not interested in ordering online and then having to wait for their order especially since they have so many different brands to choose from. I have let some friends sample my NETs and they make this horrible face. Initially I eased into NETs — 80% non-NETs and 20% NETs. Now the ratio is the complete opposite and I don’t see this changing for me anytime soon. I think it will be interesting to see if Black Note takes off especially within the local market.

I received my NET.com vapemail last week that I ordered during the V-Day and Presidents B-Day sale.

TeaBaccos: SweeTea, FruiTea, Black Pekoe Tea, Yerba Mate and Red Ruby
Repeats: Organic Spirit, Pure Virginia and Burley Blast

I am looking forward to trying all the TeaBaccos especially Yerba Mate which I had the tea only version when I worked in Paraguay. Coindentally I was at Cost Plus World Market recently and the tea that they had out for sampling was a Chocolate Mate. The chocolate was subtle yet I could taste it along with the Mate — very nice IMO. I generally steep my NETs for a month or so but I think I will need to try the Yerba Mate sooner thinking that maybe the tea will be forward in taste and that with steeping it may move to the background. Not sure though what happens with TeaBaccos aftering steeping. I did sample half of the bottle of the pre-released Red Ruby version and the second half that I saved is now around three weeks old. I will wait another week to try it again to see how it changed.

Was really looking forward to trying Myvapejuice's coffee infused cigar, but as a Canadian, it appears they are very strictly against shipping to me. Understandable, and I usually get around this with a mail forwarding company, which gives me a US mailing address and then forwards to me, but they won't even allow a non US billing address or IP address. No dice.

So, looking for more excellent coffee and tobacco suggestions

I'm in Toronto, and I've been ordering MVJ's juices for close to a year now. Diane opened up international shipping for over $100 orders.

Contact her from the site, and she'll provide information on what you need to get done.

Probably not a big NET presence at expos where larger b&m's that dont do in house go to find product. From surveys ive seen 4% or less of ecig users list tobacco as the preferred flavor. I know when i brought a bunch of samples to my local vape meetup not only had no one heard of NET's but basically everyone who i talked to also just wanted to know if i had anything with fruit and candy flavors.

I subscribe to Craft Vapery and they gave me a bottle of True Leaf Vapors Amber. For over a year I have been trying to find a decent tobacco vape but never really looked at NETs. The Amber did it for me and turned me to something better than synthetic or whatever tobacco flavored juice is.

So I went a little crazy and ordered a few things to try:
Just Criminal AHL
Sahara Blend AHL
House Blend AHL
Legend HHV
Dragons Fire HHV
Heavnly Army HHV
Dark Horse HHV
Huntsman HHV
Amber TLV
Midnight TLV
Dusk TLV
Windfall TLV
Analog GeJ
Vita Bella GeJ
Wild Turkey GeJ
Patriot GeJ

Think I have a problem......the problem is they are not in my mailbox yet!

So I have some testing to do.

And to think, there's only a whole bunch more to try! I've got orders from MVJ, NET.com and Goodejuice that're getting ready. No matter how long I stare at the cabinet or tap my foot they're still not ready...

During Goodejuice's last sale I stocked up on Patriot, Vita Bella and going to try Wild Turkey so I'm curious to hear your thoughts on those.

you are the man!! $100 is a tad steep, having no clue what I will or won't like, but I'll have to take the plunge.

I will do that.
What would you recommend from MVJ and NET.com? I heard NET.com takes awhile to put the order together?

I'm on a mission so might as well try a few more.

I tried to pick out what folks on here were recommending but after a few thousand posts, I'm getting bleary eyed.

R/Avi

NET.com takes maybe 3-4 days to get an order shipped which doesn't bother me in the least since it's gonna have to steep for a month or so anyway. I'm also glad to trade that time for being able to email Clay at NET.com and get a detailed response and advice quickly.

You'll get as many suggestion as to what to try as there are contributors here...hehe.

Mine from MVJ:
Dunhill Early Morning
Dunhill Night Cap
Suttlife Private Stock Spinnaker
Drew Estates Meat Pie
MVJ's Centurion
and more.

From NET.com
Va/Per/O/S
Big Spirit
NS Dark
and I'm starting to really like Bombay

Twisted420 is a popular reviewer for the younger audiences. His reviews are entertaining and emotive and he has a kind of an urban jive about him making the full use of the spectrum of expletives. His reviews, while entertaining are not technical or intelligent though so discerning consumers would need to turn elsewhere for a proper objective and technical review.

RIP tripper has the same target audience and has a similar style with emotive reviews, clever cut scenes and use of lighting but he too doesn't provide in depth technical reviews. RIP also has a vested interest in his own line of juices.

Oh dear, did I just review a reviewer?
