I think most NET makers are akin to chefs. Chefs don't like being told how much this or that to add. That's my take, anyway. Asking for a changed recipe on a product you've never even tasted just seems like bad form.

Clay ( from N-E-T.com ) is far from being that full of himself and his recipe's... In fact, some of the variations he carries is just from those requests... one example is Uncle BJ's Blackberry Burley and the Air Cured Blackberry Burley with the later being a requested tweak to the former one... Clay is very open minded to alterations and has based his business upon that variability

I will try the confederate from ethervape. On the page are different possibillities. What is "Smooth Throat Hit" ? i understand the words but i have no idea how they will make this . What is the difference to the usally juice ?

I want to order with pg because i do not want problems with my clearomizer and i have read that pg ist better for flavouring. What do you think ?

Are their any other "must have" liquids at ethervape i have to order ?

Different nicotine bases can have either a smoother hit or a peppery hit ( ie more of a bite to the back of the throat )... most vendors just choose one and use that... others allow a choice. So there is no "usual" one... and which one you may like is strictly a personal preference.

PG is thinner than VG... so it may wick faster... that can be a good thing in some clearo's and bad in others if it leads to it leaking more. As for the flavor, several folks are now rethinking it so it may not be as simple as one being better than the other... part of the new thought is that since PG is thinner, when extracting a flavor into it, it will saturate quicker but if that is all it is, then a VG based liquid can also taste about the same as long as the extraction time is extended.

VG can produce thicker clouds and have a thicker mouth/throat feel to it... so depending on your own preferences ( once you've sorted them out ) don't be quick to discount either PG or VG, try different variations.

Vash (Ether Vapes) originally used a nicotine with a regular throat hit. He then switched to a nicotine with no (smooth) throat hit. Some of his customers, myself included, missed the regular throat hit so he included the option of Regular or Smooth. Confederate is a wonderful blend and well worth trying.

I haven't tried that one.. but as something to think about...

Don't throw it out or trade it off just yet.... set it on the back shelf for 3-4 weeks and try it again. Usually letting a juice steep will make a lot of difference and you may find you like it then.

You'll find that there are those flavors that you don't care for but other people just love... that is why there is such variety out there. No one has the same tastes in flavors as another, so there isn't a wrong or right flavor, just ones that work for you and ones that don't

Interesting. I did not know that their are different sorts of nicotine. Or is the throat hit perhaps caused of the tobacco the nicotine is extracted from ?

The tobacco in question is probably Latakia. For most it's either love or hate as some say it tastes and smells like burning rubber. I find it adds a nice smokey/sharp note but really have to be in the mood or it does nothing for me.

Adding to what Vicman said...

Clay states in his descriptions the types of tobacco that are in the extracts... Balkan is an English pipe blend just as he mentioned on the product page and if you do a google search for it, you'll find a very similar descriptions elsewhere.

The nicotine found in e-juices is extracted from tobacco's in most cases... but it doesn't come from the flavor extractions that are done by the different NET vendors, that is a different process and probably accounts for much under 1mg nicotine if it is even that amount.

Nicotine is nicotine... the smooth or the bite is likely from the extraction being filtered better for the smooth vs the other one. I suspect much like say Vodka ( the liquor ) can be cleaner/smoother the better it is filtered and yet they are still Vodka.

If this was directed at my comment, because they offer an extra shot for those who like strong flavour, I like strong flavour but was concerned it would mess my coils Simples. Very odd comment to make if you ask me. If not directed at me my apologies.

Blimey look on the website it offers extra extract in all juices if the user prefers, clearlyw Clay knows people may prefer stronger taste. The only bad form I see is you digging me out for no reason whatsoever.

Digging you out? Seems dramatic, but I digress. I just think deciding the flavor is too weak before even trying it is odd.

Ok not digging out, but also not 'bad form' or 'odd' as you suggested which are just a tad critical. I didn't say the flavour was too weak, rather I would like to try with the extra flavour shot to see which I prefer. Given Clay has a drop down option for extra extract it would be safe to assume others also like a fuller strength.

And finally an experienced vaper, builds his own, vapes nets exclusively including practiCally the whole of clays range, suggested to me, as I like el puros Naturales, to try the extra flavour shot.

So no really not 'bad form' or 'odd'...just choice provided by the vendor.

Don't order smooth nicotine !!! It's got no throat hit at all. I am not sure why Vash introduced it or how popular it is but last year he refunded or replaced everyone who got the smooth nicotine without ordering it. A lot of NET Vapers were not fond of it. The flavors of the tobacco is muted when you order the smooth nicotine.

I think the smooth nicotine option might be more appropriate for the non NET fruits and desserts and perhaps for those who like to take direct lung hits.

It was fantastic customer service by Vash to replace the orders at the time.
