One of the sweeter pipe tobaccos from NET.com was the Minister. At least it was for me. It had a slight smokey quality to it but the Virginia's really took over which added a sweet note. Not overpowering, just a smooth and sweet NET. It might be worth a try.
I guess for some reason I was thinking net.com was all "alushion bluegrass burley" types. I like hhv huntsman and most of the others from them. I read today where someone compared a net.com juice to huntsman. I understand it will be different, which is what I want, but don't want to go down the bgb road. Looking for more "not so in your face types". If they have anything between say, vIta bella and huntsman, I'm gonna be all over it. I love tobacco flavors that are slightly sweet with a vanilla background. Just not sure what to start with from them....

I haven't tried BGB or Huntsman, I'm ashamed to admit I never tried anything from Ahlusion, but with that said...
I would suggest Black Cavendish, Very aromatic with a mild sweetness, light smokiness without being bitter or acrid. It's a favorite of mine.
Coventry is close to Black Cavendish but a more pronounced Vanilla sweetness.
Dover Court is again a sweeter pipe tobacco in the same vein. This one is light with a bit of Cavendish added for body and no detectable smokiness but a little "grassy".

I think this is great to see so many new NETizens participating here! I haven't seen this thread so active in a long time.

R.I.P Shatner. I'll miss your "Debates".

Kanger still makes the single coils... so I'm uncertain what you are saying shame on them for

They do? I haven't seen them. Single coil Protank coils?

I said shame on them for not making the more prevalent and newer dual colls capable of being rebuilt.

DiscountVapors is one outlet for most of the Kanger coils new and old...

I'm not certain if the dual coils can be rebuilt or not... I never tried just because it sounds/looks like more work than I'd care for  :D

Even if Kanger stops, there are plenty of 3rd partY units that are good for rebuilding.

The original dual units were easy to rebuild. It's the later ones with the hidden wick that are harder. But those are doable as single coils.

Finished the Petner's Pipe and took a couple weeks off from the NET train.

Last night, I popped open the RBFS Latakia. Just from the smell, I knew I'd need to treat this one differently. No foofoo artisan smell here, more of a kick you in the nuts and make you like it aroma.

Busted the Lemo out of storage and filled it. My eyes watered through the break in period.

I surely won't be powering through this bottle like the last few RBFS flavors. I think I like it, but will reserve a more detailed opinion until I get to tank #2...

Any recommendations for an aromatic cherry pipe tobacco? Just sounds so good. Not sure how it would even taste but I'm down for giving it a try.

You might try Black Cherry by NET.com, most recommend an extra shot... I found it fine as size on the 3ml size bottle.

Should I got Heat Extracted or Cold Maceration?

I guess I should ask, which do you prefer? I understand both processes. Heat extracted sounds like the way to go but I am not 100% sure.

I have finally tried all of the home
Made NETs I made between 9-18 months ago. I made about half a litre of extract in total and used 4 different cigars and one pipe (amphora). The cigars included cohiba's, rum infused tatiana's and a cognac infused Oscar (an obscure cigarillo I got in Thailand which tasted sweet to smoke).

I also extracted some sweet virginia RYO.

Some were done using the windowsill extraction method which is essentially putting the jar of tobacco and solvent on the windowsill for about a month so the warmth of the sun heats up the solvent.

I also made half of my batch heat extracted by putting the jar of tobacco and solvent in a rice cooker with the water temperature being between 100-130 degrees Fahrenheit for 36-48 hours.

For filtering I did some of the batch in coffee filters with a twice filtering and some through 3 micron filter paper.

None of my home made NETs were good. Not even one. They all tasted lifeless and dull. Some tasted bad as though there was another element to the poor flavor apart from the tobacco itself. Perhaps the PG had gone off over time or windowsill extractions made the tobacco or solvent go off.

Well the conclusion is that I was either using old tobacco that was stale or tobacco that was not conducive to maceration combined with poor technique and neglectful storage.

I might try again some time if I can get hold of some fresh pipe tobacco but I am happy to have cleared out those many bottles of extract and mixes to make way for something better.

Too bad ! Too many tobaccos which are not good for extracting. I am at no 64 and i have tried about 40 ready juices till yet. Some have to steep and some are in the freezer.

The best till yet are peter stokkebye turkish pipe and the rolling tobaccos without adds: javaanse white, pepe green and american spirit organic. All are made by hot ethanol extraction with 10 percent reduced extract and are steeped for 2-3 weeks. I think that rolling tobaccos have more smokiness as the most pipe tobaccos and i am still trying more of them. I dont know if the method is important because my hot pg extractions are not ready, but the choice of the tobaccos is the most important step i think.

In a few weeks i can try my first burley, its a pueblo rolling tobacco. I am very curious.
