I'm wearing shorts today, it's currently 270K out. Only going to last a day though.

Did you get 9mg? Look forward to your impressions on those.

9 is all I ever get from them. I'm wringing my hands on how I want to test them, and which one to begin with.. I'll give them a couple hours to get above freezing first. :)

Couldn't wait anymore so I pulled out a brand new 1.7ohm 901 atty mounted on a Provari at 3.7v (total 8W) and drip tested all the juices.

Please take these initial thoughts with a very small pinch of salt, because they are freshly opened bottles which I just received this evening, and have not been steeped.

FVFRY4 - Butter caramel, right off the bat followed by a mild mix of tobacco and some other bland flavours. Meh!

Classic CountRY4 - So this is what their synthetic tobacco tastes like! I got the artibacco pegged at first vape, and then got some caramel back notes that followed.

Outlaw - Yup, definitely the same tobacco notes, followed by a slightly woody flavour that could possibly be the Oak wood.

Blue Ridge - Barely there blueberry! It's there, you know it's there, but it's just barely making it's presence known at this time. Surprisingly the tobacco is even less noticeable. Either my buds have shut it out, or it's very low key in this juice.

Belgian Briar - The cocoa and tobacco both play a nice role here, but I can definitely taste the synthetic flavour again.

So, short story even shorter, none of these make me sit up and take notice at this time. I'm going to go through my customary two day cap off steep and then let them sit for a few weeks before trying them again.

Sorry for the mishap, Dusty. I had 2 packages that sat nearly 10 hours in the subzero cold and the higher VG ones were partially frozen, or at least slushy looking. So I feel for you. But I am happy that you did receive them.

First impressions are... first impressions. It takes a lot to generate a WOW factor, especially when someone is used to something with more body, which I still find NETs compared to artibaccos. Looking forward to the follow-up!

Last week I wanted to see what would happen if I braided 3 strands of 31ga Kanthal. I gave up quick lol, but since I had 3 long wires clamped down I decided to twist them up. Had never planned on messing around with twisted wire, but Bill's NET juices are tasting pretty damn good on this..

e6a5u8y7.jpg

On the bronze MOD, it looks like a Medieval torture device in miniature :)

Wicked cool.

In my own rebuilding life: THE SCAR.

I first tried a dual coil with the 32 gauge Kanthal, but kept getting shorts and one active coil, and my Ekowool fraying due to being wrapped too tightly, although it had been torched ahead of time. I nearly gave up on the dual, and opted for a microcoil... then I went dual microcoil that comes in around .5 ohms -- and man, the flavor is the BEST I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!

Not certain if it's the SCAR's airflow, which comes in below the coils, or if it's the dual coils, or the subohm -- or all the above. But it's the cleanest, most rich and nuanced flavor I have gotten from any device. Even with the larger diameter and height of the chamber, the flavor is unreal!

There can be leakage with overfilling, which I have experienced already and which was to be expected with the way the airflow chambers are constructed, but it only happened once. Glad I was able to snag it, since 101Vape seems to have discontinued carrying it in favor of YOUDE's full IGO series.

And with this current build, those lower nic juices have a happy home and I won't suffer from nicotine withdrawal since it hits HARD :)

So, now that River Bottom Fog Sauce has been out for a bit, what are y'all's thoughts? I really diggin' Fabulous & Burley, Pirates whatever and Porch Rocker.

I'm not sure who has even tried those here yet except you and Mann.

I'd like to try them eventually, how quick that will be depends on reports on them. I don't like that they are only offered as 30ml bottles; I'd like to see a sample size available.

Finally, someone else who finds FVF RY4 as butter caramel and "meh". I've felt alone on my unappreciation of that NET lol. The tobacco does get stronger with age, or so people report, but the caramel is buttery and too rich for me, and always overwhelmed the tobacco even with a longer steep. For my tastes, GJ4 > FVF by a long shot.

A little surprised about your impressions with the artis. Not so with CountRY4, with has been on the menu for a long time though. I've read from Bill and others that the new Gambler is a much better synthetic RY4 than CounRY4, why didn't you get that one?

The reason that your impressions of the other new synthetics surprise me is how much I found Americano to NOT have a synthetic tobacco taste, and was hoping the rest followed suit. Might just be a matter of differing tastes though of course, but I'll be prepared to know the newer ones I haven't had may be more obviously synthetic than Americano is to me.

(P.S. 901 atties rule)

I may pick up a Scar. I have two rebuildables that incorporate airflow from the bottom, and both are worthless. I'd like one that works well.

One I have is the original Smok RDS (Octopus). It's a good design, except for one HUGE flaw; the air comes from the side which is rerouted to the base of the atty, which is well and good, but the airhole on the base is flush, so ANY juice not absorbed by the wick flows into the hole.

The second is a little smaller than the Octopus, has a small tube that raises the airhole above the base, and draws air like a standard atty through the post. The issue with that one is the draw is way to tight, and when screwed onto a mod almost airtight.

I was eyeing the A7 and A7 mini which were on sale during VaporBreak's fantastic winter sale. They've been around for a while, and the reports I've read on them didn't look all that great so I passed. I have enough drippers that just collect dust.

Hello Folks,
I began reading this thread from the beginning about a month ago and had planned on waiting until i finished reading the entire thread before ordering any NET juices. However a member of this thread put up a great selection of NETs in the classifieds and I couldn't resist grabbing it. The juice lot came with many juices I have read great things about such as VB, GJ4, and Patriot. But also included are some juices that haven't shown up yet in my reading such as NET.com and RiverBottom Fog Sauce.

I have only sampled a few but there are a few that I already love, including the aforementioned GeJ juices. This is my first experience with NETs and I have a question reguarding atomizers and wicks in particular.
I primarily use a kayfun lite with micro-coil and cotton wick out and about, and a RDA with micro-coil and cotton wick at the house. In my sampling using the dripper I seem to have noticed that after about 1 ml of NET juice that I begin to get the burnt organic taste similar to what I have experienced when a coil has build-up. However the coil has no build-up on it which leads me to beleive that there is organic residue left in the cotton which is causing this nasty taste. I have not read any discussion about this happening and a quick search was fruitless.

All of this information leading to the question of: Is it practical or possible to use a KFL with nets and not experience this burnt taste by the end of the tank? Would using a silica wick be the answer? Or are NET juices confined to dripping at home?

Please excuse my ignorance as i have not read the last 10,000 posts. And a big thank you for your help :)

Vaporbank? I bought one of each cause I love the mini. I also got an IGO-s even though I'm not big on side holes cause the price was right and its much shorter than an a7 for stealth mode.

Yeah, I heard all the bad, and some good, about the Octopus -- but Smok seems to have fixed the issues, since the SCAR uses a similar approach. But there is a small well. There was only leakage 1 time, due to my overfilling it. Otherwise, it kicks some major ...., and is a hefty hunk of metal.

Originally, I was just going to be happy with my Phoenix V1, but impulse shopped those 2 drippers once they went back up at 101... I figured I'd end up with an IGO-something... but at this point, I've got enough RDAs... and I never have money when there are sales, so I grab them when I can.

I have not had much exposure to synthetics except for a batch from Blue mist and Heavenly tobacco from HHV. My only exposure to tobaccos has been since I entered the NET world under you guys tutelage. It may be the reason why I picked out the synthetic so quickly and why it stands out for me. I'm guessing it will tame itself a bit after steeping and perhaps recede into the background.

Let's wait and see..

As for the buttery caramel, I'm not averse to it. Again, I'll wait and see how it turns out. I used to love Butter Rum from TV back in the day, and that used to be a fairly sweet caramel type concoction too..

I'll get right to the point. I use my KFL's with NET's and some work better than others. I have one going at almost a week and there are others that last a day. Really depends on the NET itself..

Welcome to the club!!

Hi and welcome. That's a great observation you made and a great question.

I too notice the taste of a gunk coil while the coil is still fairly clean using NETs. Some people either don't notice it or don't mind it, and others do mind it. I'm one that does, and often take care of my coil after 1 or 2 ml has been vaped.

The bad news... doesn't seem to matter much what you use for wick. I get the same issue at about the same time with silica, cotton, SS mesh, disposable atties.. everything. It's very dependant on the NET used. Some are extremely clean, such as HHV, Cravin'Vapes, Ahlusion's non-aromatic line, a couple from MOV and some others. Some are very gunky, including many from W2V and a couple in Ahlusion's aromatic line. Most macerated NETs seem to be mid level gunkers; most from GeJ, several Ahlusion aromatics, most from NETcom, most from QnJ, some from MOV, etc.

I use rebuildable drippers at home, with either cotton or some type of silica. Since those are fairly easy to take care of, it's not an issue for me. Especially with cotton wicks, which the wick can be replaced and the coil dry burned in seconds. Sometimes I get a full days use before taking care of business; mainly when vaping non-NETs and very clean NETs. Often I change mid-day if vaping gunkier NETs.

As far as on-the-go.. nope, don't usually vape NETs. I'm not picky what I vape on-the-go, so often am using up juices or sticking to a clean RY4 or synthetic tobacco, or use menthols. NETs are more for my hobby vaping, so use them just at home. I've had several NETs that are clean enough for all day on-the-go use, but still prefer to vape them at home.

I am, for the most part. Usually brings to mind buttered popcorn to me, not in a good way, in a nasty Jelly Belly buttered popcorn flavored jelly bean way.

I did like it more when I thought of FVF as butter pecan ice cream as suggested by the lovely Scarfy.

Thanks Jerms,

That is some good feedback. I think that the NETs I have will be my home vapes, and man do I have alot to try out. But I'm really liking the GJ4 and VB. For me the tobacco is front and center and I only really taste the caramel or vanilla after the exhale. Lip smacking good taste. I look forward to reading and learning more. Maybe in a week or two I'll be caught up and can contribute to the conversation. :) Shout out to Scarf-Ace, Mr. Mann, Bronze, GT, Cat Pjs, Hula, Johni, and of course Jerms. I feel like I know you folks already just from reading your posts haha.

I know how you feel! It was easy to jump right in after reading the thread, nobody knew me but I felt like I knew everyone lol.

GJ4 and VB are awesome vapes and a great place to start. Enjoy the ride through the ever-growing world of NETs and finding your preferences. So much great out there!
