I know how you feel! It was easy to jump right in after reading the thread, nobody knew me but I felt like I knew everyone lol.

GJ4 and VB are awesome vapes and a great place to start. Enjoy the ride through the ever-growing world of NETs and finding your preferences. So much great out there!

I was wondering about those 2

I have them and I've noticed that the coil seemed shot after just 1 day

I didn't feel they had as much a tobacco presence or as strong as say Want2Vape Ry4
or even Ahlusion's Aro's (not saying there lacking just not as much as)

But I also only used them with silica vrs elk wool just before I started trying them out
and I thought it was due to that or my build

wasn't sure but it seems to be the most aggressive on the coils I've had
and I've experienced the same on 3 occasions

Several from W2V and Ahlusion aromatics are the strongest NETs on the market, won't get more aggressive than those, usually much less. Most GeJ are a medium impact tobacco, a very authentic and pure tobacco if you stick to the unflavored line, but not as agressive as those two (with the exeption of Fire Cured).

GJ4 is a gunker, though :) It's a great juice, but between the NET and the flavoring or sweetener, it gunks quickly in about everything. Organic #1 is a darker juice, but I get a few more mils out of it without the need to clean out the coils; that could be because it already has an inherent smokiness to it.

It's funny Jerms should mention NETs as at home type vapes, since I've been keeping them to the drippers mostly or the at home tanks. I went through too many coils of late, and decided to go synthetic (NLV) for work tanks. Just trying to make those coil heads last longer. I do have one NET with me daily at work, just for those moments when I need a full tobacco kick; currently it's NET.com's Black Cavendish.

With dripping, I seem to get more time with less liquid.

I used to get the off flavor from NETs after a ml or two. When i first got into NETS it made me quit almost right away because of it. Acadian Gold and Fire Cured were two juices that it happened to the worst on. but IME, when i keep my watts high and the wick isnt choked..... i can usually double or triple the amount of mls before it starts to show up. It happened much more at lower wattage. My theory is the juice is heating up without actually vaporizing. When it happens repeatedly over and over. It starts to affect the overall flavor of the juice in the well and the wick. Its my opinion that by keeping the watts high you are preventing heating up the residual juice while still vaporizing the juice on the coil.

Interesting.. very interesting. I will put that theory to test. My wicks never choke my coils to cause the burnt flavour but I do run at around 8W. I'll crank it up past 10 - 11 with my next batch of Balkan or Apache (don't have much hope!) and let you know how it works out.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of wick/coils combo do you use, and at what power levels?

... A little surprised about your impressions with the artis... The reason that your impressions of the other new synthetics surprise me is how much I found Americano to NOT have a synthetic tobacco taste, and was hoping the rest followed suit. Might just be a matter of differing tastes though of course, but I'll be prepared to know the newer ones I haven't had may be more obviously synthetic than Americano is to me...

I'm wondering if the freezing Temperature had a temporarily detrimental affect on the taste & flavor intensity of the juices.

Maybe a night of warmth will change Dusty's impressions... BTW the FVF4 was my first NET RY4, I didn't consider it sweet or the Carmel too Buttery and found it mostly well balanced, leaning toward the Tobacco.

H1N1 by Nicoticket, what's it about?! Seems to have a solid following in the Best of 2013 thread. According to the site it's a synthetic with elements of a NET..?!

Oh, I guess you were out of town when we were discussing and reviewing it here???

It uses TA, and is a complex, morphing [flavor] tobacco blend sort of a marriage between HALO and HHV :) Deftly crafted, and the description on Nicoticket's website is pretty spot on, since I "get" all of those characteristics. Nutty, chocolately, a touch of honey... I thought it was close to a WHATCHAMCALLIT candy bar -- more of a dessert tobacco. It's very tasty. And I don't like nuts, but this is more light hazelnut wafer cookie type.

I don't like nuts or coconut period. The flavors, the actual items, or even their textures.

Not fond of lemon, either.

  Really?, Gambler's out because of Hazelnut and H1N1 isn't? OK... does anyone get a hazelnut wafer cookie type from Gambler?

H1 is a NET with TA in addition to extracted tobacco. I've had a bottle for a bit, but haven't gotten around to it other than a brief taste fresh. I just moved all my Nicoticket juices (along with many others) from the steep box to the current rotation box so will be getting to know H1 soon.

Well that theory isn't specifically for NETs that are hard on coils.... I'm talking about premature off flavors that a previous poster had mentioned even before the coils had cabonized build up

To answer your question on watts... I've tried so many combos of guage, ohms, power with drasticly different results. My favorite it 30ga, hemp wick 10-13watts. 27 and bigger seemed to lag when fired (i couldve possibly had too many wraps), which contributed to heating rather than vaping

Are you only a tobacco vaper? They're well known for their Custard's Last Stand and Creme Brulee. I have both, very good vanillas.

Primarily yes! I've asked for a sample of the CLS, but if not included, I'll order some up with my next order from them. If there is a next order.. :)

Easy to esplain (as Jerms asks): First off, Shatner sent me a sample of it, and I was hesitant to try it because it did mention a Peanut flavor to it. But Shatner insisted that he couldn't taste any nut to it. So I tried it. I noticed the nuttiness to it, that slight hazelnut wafer type flavor found in many cookies, wafers. It's light, mixed well with the tobacco and is then dripped in chocolate. There is a lot going on in H1N1, and the nuttiness is more of a characteristic note, not a SCREAM: LOOK AT ME -- I"M A NUT/PEANUT/PECAN, etc like Prime 15 SCREAMED salted peanuts.

It's not something I could vape consistently, or an ADV. I would not order it, because it's not in my flavor profile. I will end up finishing the bottle... someday (10ml).

H1N1 gave me a great indication on how well Nicoticket's juices are mixed, made and presented and made me a fan of Kent Brooks, and Nicoticket -- from sampling and reviewing a juice I won't order :) But Nicoticket IS a quality vendor, and Clark Kent Brooks is a master mixologist. I pray that his next tobacco, which has been whispered to being worked on, is nut free. That would make me happy :)
