One of these should get you were you want to be.

So far.. I do not dig the arty tobaccos, at all. I have relied mostly on fruity vapes and minty vapes so far, dessert, creamy vapes on occasion, which are great, but I would love one flavorite, satisfying go-to tobacco juice in my arsenal. It doesn't have to be analog-type, just something tasty and deep-rich, not too sweet that my brain says...yes..this is tobacco. I want the tobacco to be the front note and other accompanying flavors to be a less distracting, but enhancing side note.

One problem with having a bunch of juices on hand, is often a flavor that I tried and really liked gets lost in the shuffle. That's what happened to Brown Bomber (NEMP), which was almost shockingly unique and fun to vape but still has been looked over for several weeks.

Vaping it now.. yep it's as good as my first impressions of it. There's so much going on, but it somehow comes together for an experience different than any other juice. It creates that absinthe/black licorice feel in the mouth without any anise flavor. It's a wild vape, would be challenging to review but deserves a thought out write-up. Only issue is it's not available now, and will be.. I forget 1 or 2 years before available again, if it ever is. A review would kind of be a tease, but would be fun to tackle.

I went to two vape shops last night and a few employees mentioned that they don't really care for tobacco e-liquids. I let them try some Sahara Blend and Vita Bella...and they were blown away. The recurring theme was, "Wow! I didn't know a tobacco juice could taste like that." While I love the number of high-quality vape shops in SoCal, it bugs me that the vast majority of them don't stock NETs. It really bugs me that many shops believe that Halo is the best tobacco e-liquid company. *sigh*

This reminds me our experience at a hookah joint couple of years ago. We asked for their strongest pure tobacco and the owner almost got ......! We ended up getting kind of sweet apple "tobacco". It almost had no tobacco taste. All of the other flavors sounded sweet and they only had stuff like pina colada, other cocktail mixes etc.. Then I realized that most people there were 18-25! We were out of place there, especially asking for manly hookah tobacco! I wonder most of these vape places try to cater to younger folks who prefer non-tobacco flavors.

Hell, I know vaping "requires" the entry-level age of 18, but sometimes I wonder if they are really flirting with trouble by naming liquids with freakin' cartoon references and such. Really?! Who are they trying to appeal to? I guess it's all about the mind, not about the age necessarily.

Exactly right. That, unfortunately is one of the main ammunition that the media has been using to attack vaping. Check out any reports about "vaping targeting youths", and I guarantee you 9 times out of 10 they say the exact same thing "marketing and targeted at youths with flavors and names such as bubblegum....."

Strange, because the last time I checked, there wasn't an age limit on liking candy or gum or dessert.

Anyone know what particular Burley A+ uses in Vurley? Is it a fire cured or maybe a toasted?

I'm really puzzled by my SC. I don't recall reading any review even remotely alluding to nut tastes, but I'm getting overwhelmed by a very strong nut taste.

Sharon once stated that she thought SC it had AP in it. Wlad calls it (semi) nutty as well.

I use to watch 15-16 year olds come into my old cigar club trying to buy hookah a few times a week. They finally decided to stop carrying it due to so many underage kids coming in the shop.

I don't think it tastes nutty, but it has a definite savory sweetness that might come across as nutty in effect. It's almost a sweetish umami impression -- not even a taste as much as a mouthfeel. I used to think sweet and buttery. Now I get the impression of fat, as in beef broth.

Ι've occasionally gotten "nutty," but that was more back in 2012. The nutty is really just the tobacco, so I'd imagine what we perceive of as nutty, as in add-ons, is not exactly going to come through or resonate the same way as a "nutty" in liquids like 555s. It's almost like when people taste "ash" in NETs as opposed to, say, ash like in the god of ash--TA. You say "tomato" and I say, "that ain't no damned tomato, that's a tomatillo!" LOL

Good analogy. About every NET enthusiast is going to want to try Ahlusion, HHV, W2V, GeJ, and MOV. Chances are pretty good at least one isn't going work for them, but need to try to find out. Some people find they like just one or two vendor so much that the others just don't work for them.

I think another possible issue is that your expectations were set way to high ;) If that's the case, they may really turn around for you later. With as bad a reaction as you had though, I wouldn't be surprised if you never like them. Unless you're like BJ who despised certain flavors and then suddenly changes his mind and loves them. :D

Let's be clear, I never hated a FLAVOR. I despised the name and photo of Smooth Criminal. I have a little on the name when I realized it was a tongue in cheek reference to being an NET version of Boba's Bounty. Which reminds me, for those who love BB and didnt know that, it is true. I have not touched a single drop of BB since I got into SC. I still think it is a stupid name, but I get it. The photo they use for that juice is simply horrible, like an Axe Body Spray commercial. It was bad enough that I refused to try the flavor. However, once I did, I could not deny its glory

I have stayed away from this topic but wil comment briefly, as I live in SO CAL which is like vape shop Mecca. I live in Orange County, 10 minutes from Angel Stadium and Disneyland and down the street from CS Fullerton. I see a new B&M almost weekly...I can name 10 within 5 minutes of me. Most are poorly stocked on all fronts, a select few have an elite hardware selection, none that I know of have NET. Of course almost all buy their juices and as we know most NET vendors are still relatively small. But I digress. CA is leaning very heavily anti vape and that extends to public places as well as anything from colleges to AA meetings. I am all for free vaping in a world where I see kids smoking cigs everyday and my 12 year old could buy illegal things in about 10 seconds. I gotta make this point though...the under 18 concern is not complete BS, not at all. It is an issue. I am not commenting on the issue but I will lay two FACTS on you.

1) I have seen at least 10 high schools with vape shops literally walking distance from them, often right across the street.

2) my freshman son told me "almost all my friends vape non nic juices"

I am telling you, many B&M here cater to kids. I know it. A B&M, especially a poorly run one, is a dying business from day 1. Like many of you I shop 99% online. These place will most certainly sell their ego starter kits to kids when their business is on the line.

If (when) I work at a B&M, I'll treat it the same as when I sold cigs at a gas station several years back.. if you look possibly younger than 27 you're getting carded. Unless it's a cute woman who looks in her 30s, they're getting carded, they like that lol.

Kids and vaping is a problem. Anything that's legal for adults only is going to be a problem that kids will do it illegally. I smoked as a kid, and did a whole bunch of other stuff I was told not to do, same as many kids do of any generation. I think it's up to parents to make sure their kids aren't naughty, not the government with nonesensical regulations on flavors and thing like that.

An employee at a vape shop selling to a minor is being an idiot. Vape shops should be pro vaping and not doing things that could hurt vaping. In my state, there's a big consequences for the guilty employee and the store if caught selling to minors. I think that's fair and as far as government needs to be involved.

Halo? HALO??? I'd say that you must be kidding, Ray, but I presume you're not. I hope your experience is atypical. If it isn't, what a sad commentary on this young industry.

Sadly Bill, I'm totally serious. Only two vape shops in Los Angeles has NETs and most of the others swear by Halo. SoCal easily has the highest concentration of vape shops in America, but very few have NETs. I've seen two shops with Mountain Oak Vapors and one with Ahlusion Xpress Smooth Criminal (the latter in San Gabriel Valley, not LA proper). In my experience, most SoCal vapers prefer artificial fruit, candy, and dessert juices.

The good news is that one of the local companies is starting a new line of all-NET juices. Hopefully they're good.

On a side note, I am NOT the typical SoCal vaper. I love NETs, flavor over clouds, and a relatively firm draw. Many of the vapers here have rebuildable drippers with giant air holes for cloud chasing. One of my friends has a collection of drippers that appear to have bullet holes in them.

I finally got my Ahlusion order but with a twist :)

My first taste of Blue Grass Burley was very surprising. It's an interesting and layered vape but it was very smokey, kind of campfire like. I'd say to me, 80% of the taste is campfire smoke. It reminded of the Latakia component in NET.com's Balkan. From the descriptions and reviews, I imagined this is how Devil Dog would taste like. The burley in it is supposed to be air cured (I think?). How could it be this burning wood like smokey? I'm very surprised. Even just smelling the bottle with cap off it smells like liquid smoke. I'm wondering if I got Devil Dog instead of BGB...
