Hey Y'all, been awhile since I've been on this thread. If anyone here is familiar with Ahlusion's non-aeromatic line, could you tell me how long you would let Maple House Blend or Gold Rising steep AFTER transferring into plastic bottles ? I gave mine 2 days caps-drippers off and two weeks caps/ drippers on. Still not getting this, tastes alot like AiV juices to me.

Mine was five weeks old when I sampled it and came up with the same thing Pop. I have a handful more to try though thanks to a fellow NT Threadster.

I try to steep mine for at least a month, but I don't transfer into plastic. I also only leave the caps off for around five minutes, on Wlad's advice.

Yea, I tried the 'air-obics' of 5- 10 minutes a day and daily shaking for two weeks, but seemed like nothing was happening so I transferred to plastic bottles based on some advice from this thread. Then I did a standard steeping method. One month total. Maybe these need more time, but for now they taste perfumy and grassy to me. I've got plenty, so maybe I'll figure it out by August.

So, luce or BH, what are they basing their extracts off of? Sounds like a decent price for concentrated NET.

MyVapeJuice uses various tobaccos for its macerations:

My Hero: organic, locally-grown Connecticut broad leaf tobacco
Country Squire: organic, locally-grown Connecticut Medium broad leaf tobacco (stronger and sweeter than My Hero)
Rogue: Canadian Virginia Flue Cured tobacco
Savage: Brightleaf Virginia Flue Cured Golden Leaf (smoother and milder than Rogue)

Coming up to the end of my juice buying freeze starting the end of December, I'm getting down to the end of a lot of my juices, and some I'm tiring of. So what to do? Frankenjuicing of course.

The ones I've had the longest are The Plume Room tobaccs that I had ordered a lot of in December. Candied Cavendish, which I've liked quite a bit, is getting a bit too banana sweet with age. It never had a strong tobacco presence to me, so I added a little Devil Dog. Wish I would have done this earlier. I learned from my previous DD and Chocolate Cream mix that a little DD goes a long way, and it's just as successful this time. Now there's a strong tobacco presence, and the banana is tamed some.

Then there is Ramaglia's Toscano, which has gotten really funky with age. A good thing, but I have some better funk juices. Decided a little Bounty Hunter would sweeten things up. What surprised me is how much BH it took to be noticable. It's almost at 50/50, and it's still only slightly sweet (BH is a very sweet vape on it's own). Funk really seems to trump sweet.

The rest of my juices are Ahl, GeJ, MVJ, and a few random ones. They are still working well so no mixing with those. Ravyn, which I still have sitting in the steeping box, might get a menthol treatment or something when I start vaping it, we'll see how it plays after aging. Really starting to look forward to getting more juices again.

I have recently enacted a juice buying freeze myself Jerms. I have an overflowing stockpile and I have found enough juices I like to refrain from exploring for the time being. We will see how this goes. I'm cautiously optimistic.

That was my same reasons too. I had well over 500ml (a lot for me, not much for some) of juices. My currently vaping box was full and my steeping box was full. It was getting to be well over a month before I would get to new juices I ordered. What made it easier was I had a lot of juices I really love. What made it hard was a bunch of new NETs were coming out I was excited about (new aromatics, eek!). In the end it hasn't been bad, just a matter of enjoying what I have instead of wanting what I don't.

Not good. These A+ non-aeros are providing enough TH to set off my allergies. Gold Rising was just starting to taste soo sweet ! But the misery of a full-blown sinus allergy attack is something I try to avoid (pretty much every day of my life). I've applied to verify through Paypal, and in a week or so I should be able to post them. If anyone is interested, PM me and I'll tell you what's up.
Guess I'll never know to joy of Smooth Criminal, but such is life....

I LOVE Alice In Vapeland. They are a first rate vendor, with top notch attention to detail, superior customer service and have some of the best juices I have tried yet... unfortunately their first attempt at a NET was underwhelming, (to be kind!)...

I have seen those posts on Rayvn and I am absolutely mystified by them. I cannot, for the life of me, believe that anyone thinks this is vapable juice. (And what prey tell, are you vaping it on? It clogged the best attie I have). Time to tell the truth...

When I first got my 30ml bottle of Rayvn. I was thrilled! I opened it up the next day... To my nose, it smelled just like someone had dumped an full ashtray in a box of raisins. Uhhhgggg! Daring, optimist that I am, I dripped some onto a fresh attie... When vaped, the raisin taste receded, and the ahstray stepped forward... Absolutely nauseating. Seeped for a over a month, (could not bear to revisit even to smell!),I then screwed up my courage to take a whif, and...it had evolved into a dark, horrid prune ashtray flavor. YET I actually VAPED it AGAIN LOL! I really wanted to find a way to make this juice usable. But it's just...NOT!

There I said it! :p

Agreed! I have about 2 ml for anyone who with the intestinal fortitude to try it. It helped me figure out that any juice that "hinted of raisins" or "there's a fruit taste that I can't quite figure out" means "yuck" to my taste buds.

LOL! Right? Prune juice has it's place,(I suppose), but not in my pv! No Sir. Never again! And anyone who calls it, "savory", or delectable is just in DENIAL. (Or trying to inflate value perhaps?). This is not, an acquired taste for discriminating juice connoisseurs, the way some make it out to be. (Stop fooling yourselves people! You threw down $20 for spoiled Prune-ash!) But hey, the bottle IS lovely! :)

Not to be argumentative, but I kind of like it. I don't love it, it's not ranking in my top ten or even 20 probably, but I am enjoying it on occasion. Chalk it up to taste is definitely subjective. And it hasn't killed my coils any faster than most other NETs. Sorry you don't like it, but your taste is not mine, and not EVERYONE else's either.

I'm feel a little bad piling on here, but while I love some of AiV's juices---Lemon Loves Cake, Berry Lil' Cheesecake, B & W Cookie, and Cupcake City are among the most delicious eliquids I've ever vaped---Ravyn seems to be a major misfire. I reviewed it when fresh, again two weeks later, and I've revisited Ravyn every week since. At this point, I feel backed into a corner. As happy as I was to hear that AiV had come out with an NET, and as much as I wanted to like it, the harsh truth is that I just don't like Ravyn. And, after initially hoping that steeping might help, I have to conclude that no amount of steeping will improve it. After a month and a half and many chances for redemption, my judgement about Ravyn is not a close call. I really don't like it. Not even a little bit.

I'm curious as to what the unadorned extract tasted like all by itself. Was it so weird that AiV felt compelled to add 47 other flavorings to mask how awful it was alone? I don't know. What I'm more certain about is 1. that AiV added far too many additional flavorings, 2. the choice of flavorings was questionable (understatement), and 3. the ones they added simply do not play well together. The overall flavor experience is muddy, disjointed, and confused, sort of like a bunch of drunks in a bar fight.

I even tried Frankenjuicing tiny amounts of Ravyn with each of my two favorite rescue remedies---Capellas Vanilla Custard, which didn't work at all, and TFA Caramel Candy, which was even worse. And now I'm stuck with not just one but TWO bottles of Ravyn, a 30ml that I purchased and a 15ml that AiV sent me for free after I posted on the Ravyn thread that my bottle had apparently been lost in the mail. Well, it wasn't lost, just slow to be shipped (and I did post a correction later), but now I've got two bottles of the worst NET hybrid I've ever tasted. What a shame.

Perhaps AiV will rebound and produce another NET that's delicious and does them proud. I'd be very happy if that comes to pass, but I won't be one of the first to try it. Other people will have to play guinea pig on the next one.

I'm kinda enjoying all this no holds barred, brutal honesty this evening. While we're at it, could someone try to explain why Smooth Criminal gets so much seemingly inexplicable adoration? I have tried and tried again but I just don't get it. I don't think there is anything wrong with it but I bet it would rather be Dragons Fire. ; )

Yeah. I was keeping quiet about ugly truth, heh...but the Ravyn thread was getting so blatantly pretentious...

I felt compelled to point out that the Emperor was naked...

Never heard of Smooth Criminal. But I know what you mean about, "inexplicable adoration" . Seems to be a lot of that going around. :)

What's up Nomo. I'll field the Smooth Criminal. I really haven't seen a lot of adoration about SC, just some on the Ahlusion thread, but I don't read all of ecf sections. I think I'm one of only a couple on this thread that has talked about it in a good way. But I can sure tell you why I adore it.

First of all, I don't think there's much to get with this juice since it's fairly straightforward. If you're not crazy about it by now you probably won't be. I can definately see it as a juice that many would like but not be thrilled by. It's a sweet tobacco that get's less sweet with age. It doesn't have much wow factor. But as a sweet tobacco, it's easily my favorite for that type. Just a smooth, tasty tobacco with some sweet. I can easily vape it anytime, in any device, and greatly enjoy it. I haven't had Dragon's Fire from HHV yet, but it's on my list!
