I decided to finally re-visit the 4 juice's I'd gotten with Lataka in them again that I was having issues accepting... the 4 were 2 from want2vape, Pure Smoke and Vapenstein Paris... and 2 from Moutain Oak Vapors, Country Gentleman and Apache.
I believe that I'm going to move on from them, at least for now. The Lataka notes have finally smoothed out and are not nearly as much "in your face" as they started. I can certainly see why others do like them, their sweet, dark, earthy/woodsy and smoky flavor are interesting to taste. Still, they are not the direction I'm looking for currently. I have another friend I'm going to pass them onto that may find them more to his liking... maybe.
I can't help but think that adding just a touch, not enough to discern but enough to help enhance a darker tobacco juice could help take a juice from good to great. In much the same way that cumin added to a chili or mexican dish... or perhaps a licorice or fennel added to an Italian marinara.. can enhance those foods flavors as long as they aren't in an amount that can be detected directly.
