Ok it seems that the only thing that this post has done is produce almost 100 pages of reviews. What good has that done?

I challenge the authors of this post to compile a list of the top 5 tobacco flavored eliquids. Would that be something difficult to do?

To be fair there should be a good list of say ten eliquids of which five can be voted in.

Careful Salty. The last time I was critical of this thread, Eleanor about reached through my monitor and choked me to death. That aside, I like your idea.

No juice for you! Back of the line!

I still like the taste of smoked tobacco, but since discovering NETs I like the taste of vaping (much) more than smoking, so I no longer smoke tobacco except as a "test" to see what's what. I've smoked exactly two RYO cigarettes since I started vaping about 4 months ago, and each time simply shrugged and went back to vaping. I still have the (now dessicated) pouch of tobacco I had when I started vaping. Maybe it will end up being a sacrifice to a DIY NET experiment someday...

I've not even come close to exhausting the list of vendors recommended here, though I've made a pretty good dent. I've enjoyed most of them, but have found few "all day vapes". My advice for anyone looking for the "perfect" vape is to just keep trying different vendors and a good variety from each vendor, until you find the ones that "do it" for you. Though as others have said, you'll never find a liquid that tastes *exactly* like any tobacco smoke. Vapor is not smoke. It's just not going to happen. That said, there are liquids that have great tobacco flavor. I'm still searching for "better" but I already have a short list of about 3 liquids that make me make "Mmm" noises that I rarely made when I smoked cigarettes.

Of course, the liquid is only part of the equation. Some of my favorite juices have tasted vile to me in an sub-par device, so I have spent a lot more on trying devices than juice, but I'm done with that. Now it's all about the liquid. If I stopped trying new vendors right now, I could be happy vaping what I already like forever, though there's little chance of that happening :)

It's real tricky recommending liquids. That said, W2V Red Pirate has the closest tobacco "profile" and kick to an american cigarette I've yet to taste, though it's not my favorite. I'm sure there are others that are closer, but it definitely doesn't taste like cigarette smoke, though it does have a "dirty" and "bright" tobacco quality. The Vapenstein Paris was designed to taste like a cigarette, though I haven't personally tried that one (yet).

Seriously though, there is already a 'Top 5 favorites' thread out there. This thread is more of a spiritual thread in that everyone here spreads their thoughts of the NETs. It's more of a word of mouth in the alley kind of thing. Tastes change a lot, probably more so than the 'Top 5' thread.

Edit: No, that's not what I meant, tastes don't change a lot for great tobacco extracts, but you know what I meant.

Back to linking vaping with smoking. I'm still reaching for the ash tray thinking I have a lit cig in it while I'm working around the house. It's like going from a stick shift to an automatic and continually reaching for the stick. Must be psychosomatic or something.

I did the same thing for several weeks. I still keep ash trays around, but the only thing that ends up in them is little bits of aper towels toothpicks

Well, for the record, I think this thread is the bees knees just the way it is. Nearly 1000 posts of reviews and commentary on NETs (and very little else) is pretty freaking awesome. Here's to the next 1000 posts. Having said that, once I've tried a couple-dozen more liquids (or so) I'm sure I'll post my (subject to change) personal top 5 NETs. I don't even know if I could come up with a top 5 right now, since half the liquids I've tried, I didn't really like at first, though I've come to at least like all of them. Though, interestingly the very first NET I tried (Vaperite House Extracted Natural Tobacco) is still among my favorites, though it's quite mild compared to liquids like the vapenstein blends.

From what I have gleaned from your post, order a sample size first. It's pretty stout.

If it's anything like the London (which I have 30mls of steeping), I think I'll like it. Maybe not to vape all day though. When I said the Red Pirate isn't my favorite, I didn't mean I don't like it, because I do, it's just there are a few others that I keep going back to that really work for me.

Ok, that being said, Paris will work for you. Although, it's not a far cry from London, so YMMV.

I know, right? Him and luce have got that 'poetic' thing going on. I can't even get anywhere near that level.

Edit: Oh, and Tez too. Where has Tez been lately?

Gee, thanks TB :p I'm around, but I just seem to be catching this thread after all of the action has gone down lately. I step away for a day or two and 5 more pages of text magically appear! We really should have our own subforum to accommodate all of this interest.

I am looking for a strong, straight forward tobacco without a lot of added spices. I don't mind a little vanilla or caramel but I really want a Marb Red in-your-face tobacco. Not a cigar, fruit or candy fan either. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places and need to try NETs? I've had Vaporite and W2V and liked them but found it a little light. I smoke 24mg and am also beginning to wonder if part of the problem is that I need to go up to 36mg. I was hoping to cut back on the mg but nothing is really satisfying. I have been able to stay off of cigs but it's a struggle without having juices that really satisfy me. I still miss that "ahhh" analog experience.

I am hoping that with the vast amount of knowledge in this thread that I could get a few recommendations?

Mookie, I might suggest giving Mom and Pops RYO a shot. It's a pretty straight-forward and satisfying cigarette-style NET.

Dark Horse DOES NOT taste like a Marlboro, but it does have a more cigarette taste than the other juices for sure. I mean seriously, what does a Marlboro really taste like? Nothing, that's what. Maybe the fresh pack has a smell that is reminiscent of some of nice tobacco/other stuff, but once that flame hits it, it's NO flavor at all.

I smoked Marlboro medium 100's and Marlboro 100's for too long. I was in that mindset have to replace. Not anymore don't miss them. What works for me is trying thanks to Mr. Mann and ECF various vendor tobacco samplers and have found some really good tobacco juices that are more enjoyable vaping than the same CIG 20 times a day.

To be fair, this IS a general e-liquid discussion thread about Naturally Extracted Tobaccos. Your comments on the same are always welcome S&P. :)

A "Top 5 Tobacco Flavored E-Liquids would be worthy of its own thread. Plus the more NET-related threads we get, the more likely we get our own Tobacco (or dare I dream) NET subforum.

In a word, YES!
"top 5?" This thread is all about compiling all that we can find. You would need to break that up into categories first if we were to do something like that, like "straight tobacco," "flavored tobacco," "tobacco mystery," "tobacco/fruit," "tobacco bold," "pipe tobacco," "cigar," "aromatic" etc. Of course alll those should be extracted tobaccos.

To be fair there should be a good list of say ten eLiquids of which five can be voted in.

I am working on something, but completely different. You'll see my point in about a week.

p.s. You know what I did? I tried virtually everything mentioned in this thread, except a couple. After all, it's not like it's "100 pages" of different juices--it's mostly about, maybe less than 30 juices. You have easy access to most, and it's a lot easier than trying every fruit vape available. There is an initiation fee though, (J/K) post about a tobacco that you have had. Tell us about it.

I think rating is a personal thing been using this database Personal Flavours Database I find this a great method to manage and track the juices I have bought...

I've modded that version to include the vendors url
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/8875196/Juice_v0.4.accdb

It could be used solely for tobacco juices with categories as stated above or as required
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/8875196/Juice_v0.4 - Natural Tobaccos.accdb

Maybe a poll would be a good solution for rating multiple users top 5s if thats possible...
