I don't think I worded my comment well. What I meant by "making too much of NETs" wasn't to put NETs down (hardly). I was trying to suggest the final flavor is all that matters to each individual. Whether it took nets, non-nets, or a combo is mostly irrelevant. I really liked your post Tez. You draw some pinpoint distinctions. And some good advice to stay away from Sandalwood...whatever the hell that tastes like! :)

Fair enough! I guess it just depends on what effect the maker is going for. And I agree with your point, if fact I probably vape almost as many non-NET tobaccos as I do NET's. I think that some vendors such as AVE, Halo, ePipemods, and Mom and Pop (their non-extracts, anyway) have some very interesting takes on the concept of tobacco, and the subject should always be open to new and interesting interpretation. And I do enjoy me some sandalwood from time to time -- it's not as bad as it sounds ! I guess what it comes down to for me is that the difference between NET's and non-NET's for me isn't a difference between apples and oranges, but rather a difference between apples and "apples." (emphasis on quotes)

Bottom line (and most obvious I might add), is there are essentially three general tobacco choices. Those that taste like the real thing (NETS), those that don't taste anything like the real thing (no NETS), and some combination. Seems Ahlusion chose the first with their aromatics and the last for their non aromatics. And speaking of Ahlusion, what are some of your favorite juices from them? Aromatic and non-aromatic? I hear about Smooth Criminal now and again but know nothing beyond that.
.

I'd say that's a fair statement as a very broad generalization though that last category covers a huge spectrum. The tobacco can be in the forefront, or in the background, or in any other balance, but it is still in there for a reason. If that makes sense... Put differently, and much in line with Tez's recent posting, extracted tobacco has a complexity and depth of flavor that can bring another whole level to to whatever is added to it. I can't recall who I'm paraphrasing here but someone in this thread posted that Gandalf tastes nothing like any pipe tobacco they've ever had yet they still felt like they were vaping a pipe tobacco.

Oh, and all I've had from Ahlusion is the Blue Grass Burley, which is top notch. I'd happily try the "non-aromatics" though, and probably will at some point.

Aha. An RY4 spin off. I don't think JC is net though (can't you just see me growing more snobbish day by day. :))

Just kidding btw, if it tastes good it's all good. That's what I go by.

GT, JC said their ingredient list must have got knocked off during their latest update. She appreciated me pointing it out and said she will have someone reload it ASAP. So far it isn't there. The IT guy probably went home early. You got my curiosity in a tizzy now. Not that it will change anything.

Good goodness, there has been some good posting going on today! Maybe that is what brought about the new look to ECF? Tez, that is very close to the type of post/message I was talking about yesterday! Vic, where have you been my whole life? Bronze, way to get people thinking!

Gotta put you vapegeek brainiac's to work! I thought about asking a natural tobacco question on the "Ladies Chit Chat" thread but someone told me to put it on the "Natural Tobacco" thread instead. I argued that I thought that was a stupid idea but the nice guy that I am, I capitulated.

ROFL! That is TOO funny- it would make the "really really really really really long RY4 roundup" look like an opening paragraph.

I'll preface this by saying, I like a good RY4. Not all day. Not even every day.

But really, just how much can you say about RY4s? I didn't get past page 3 of that thread.

Actually, the ummm...other place did. Several non-nets listed. For myself, I like to know the reason behind the wow, or the otherwise. (And I STILL like Rob's Blackjack too Phhhttttttt).

GT, you need to start a "Some Combination of NETs and Non-NETS" thread. Would probably be the longest thread on the forum.

Hey GT, speaking of NETs and RY4s, if you get GJ4, just know that it does get much better after it gets long in the tooth. I got my GeJ order today (fast as hell!) and I remembered why it was possible for me to forget about having it. At first it tastes like a common RY4, maybe better, but after it matures, then it becomes GJ4. (Whatever that means.) Buy for the long haul. This bottle is going to be my Halloween vape. hahahaha

I just sampled Rob's Blackjack over the weekend. Let's just say (so as not to bash), it fell short of my hopes.

Thanks. Not a problem.

Well, it actually WILL be a problem, but I'll deal with it. Maybe I should get it first, let it sit a week, then buy Huntsman, let IT sit a week, then vape huntsman for a week.... I'm forming a plan here....

I KNOW. That's why I said it  (actually I do like it - about 180 mls much!) I mix it with a little Mom n Pops blackjack and it's - to me - wonderful. Anyways...back to nets.

There is something vaping doesn't have, combustion. That burning of paper, tobacco, and the flavor from the ignition source.

That can't be replicated. I hear "Oh it tastes like a real cigarette", I say show me. I want to vape the juice that tastes like im smoking a Marlboro Red. In fact, show me a juice that tastes like the worst analog cigarette.. They don't exist. They never will.

The whole point for me quiting smoking was to get away from those flavors anyway.. come on people we have Cheesecake to vape! :)
