What's a good month? I need a bit to save some more, anyway. I need a freaking vacation, BAD. I go to visit my Mother in Merida, Mexico (she G T F O of the U.S.) and my Father in Oklahoma. I want something different. And Australia sounds exactly what I'd like.

Avoid obvious holiday times... and it will almost certainly be loads cheaper for you to book a Houston-LAX and a separate international flight to Sydney.

You feeling like a bit of freezing cold and damp? Come right now.

Freezing cold and damp beats the crap out of Houston weather, lately. Upper 80s/low 90s with 75-80% humidity. 0_o .... What's the weather like in Feb-March?

I just got out of the shower and I'm sweating. Meh.

Feb-March is nice, but that's when I usually go to NYC so I wouldn't be around. April is good, usually a bit cooler.

Just got some Halo Turkish tobacco. Hmmmmmm..... this will probably need a steep, it's a bit perfumey.

Anthony, she looks a lot like Brody Dalle of The Distillers and Spinnerette. She's from Melbourne. No clue where that is to you or Scarfy.

Brody Dalle - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'm enjoying BeeLiquid #7 and #233. They are very "honeyful" The tobacco is very light at 9W, which is really the highest I like to go, but comes out more in higher wattage. But these are lighter in color than the other few flavors I got. It's really bright tasting. I will probably reorder larger bottles of some.

Do you ever have those days where you can't get enough of a specific person's music? Even if they're in multiple bands? I can't get enough of Brody Dalle today. Especially Valium Knights by Spinnnerette. I just love the dgaf attitude. It's kind of nostalgic, too. I grew up listening to punk rock. I do this a lot. With all types of musicians; Maynard James Kennan, Trent Reznor, Jimmie Hendrix, Jim Morrison, etc.

And I've completely changed my mind about Beeliquid. It's good, but not for me. The honey is cloying. It's just too much for me. BUT(!) it does taste like fresh honey right from the comb. My Dad knows some bee keepers and gets honey from them. #233 really brought back memories of that experience. Fun. But I'm not huge on honey.

April might work for me. I'm trying to find some type of glass event. Whether it's a trade show, competition or even some space in a friendly local's studio for a week. That would help fund my trip, too.

And then ~2 weeks for whatever. I want to go Great White cage diving. I need to see if that's even available in your areas.

Ahlusion surprises me once again. Dulce Cubanito is a freaking home run, imo. I keep defaulting back to it. Even over way interesting flavors like MadM's Maha Ras, Vaperrx Bugatti, and some other green anise and citrus "Pluid Clone" (better, imo).

I was never a cigar smoker. I mean I've smoked some, but never really got into it. So I can't comment on DC's authenticity, but I can say it's a very good NET that doesn't gunk coils/wicks.

Don't know if anyone's posted it yet (there's 1218 frickin pages on this thread), but I just got an order in from Crystal Canyon Vapes, one of the top 3 e-liquid vendors on this page. One of the samples I got was Tombstone, and let me tell you, it is fantastic.

Very subtle sweetness, but a rich and thick tobacco flavor on the exhale. It's not like these other tobacco flavors (pipe tobacco-flavors, or even my favorite, Grey Matter, from Mister E Liquid), it's tobacco all the way.

It had to steep for about a week before the perfuming scent went away, but when it did, it was noticeable just by sniffing the vial. Dropped some in a carto and it was great. Try it.

I very well could be wrong (happens all the time) but, I don't believe Crystal Canyon is a NET (Natural Extracted Tobacco) - I believe it is an artibacco (artificial flavor).

That isn't a bad thing necessarily. I know a lot of us do vape non NETs but, that is why it isn't being discussed in the thread.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

:)

Long story short, for those who haven't heard:

January: Start feeling extremely tired during day. Wake up at 7, sleepy by 10. Total mental fog, unable to do anything.
February: Forced to quit job due to exhaustion. Make appointment at sleep clinic for April.
March: Travel.
April: Have first sleepover.
May: Results take a month to arrive. Diagnosed with sleep apnea and hypopnea. Apparently I quit breathing for up to thirty seconds at a time (!) while i sleep. This causes extreme oxygen deprivation, hence tiredness. Ironically, it's probably aggravated by the 10 kilos I gained after quitting smoking.:-x
Tonight: Sleepover with CPAP machine. A little scary. But if it gets me back to normal and back into the working world, yay. I hate being a lump.

Good luck tonight. :)

I've spend a lot of time being poked and prodded by doctors and it isn't all that fun. Sending good thoughts.

I sort of have internet again... I am getting the full replacement on Sunday so, I expect it to be spotty at best until late Sunday afternoon.

Good times. (I hate Comcast - loathe... worse than nicrome!)

Lack of internet means lack of orders that need to happen... I'm not sure what I will do if a full week goes by without vapemail

That's great news. Ive heard a lot of good things about Dulce Cubanito.

I've got a 30 ml bottle of dulce coming thanks to Mr Chimps Mcghee (along with Sahara, Devil Dog and Sweet Georgia Peach). Should be here within a week now.

LOL! I HATE that stuff! I was warned that it could give you vivid dreams. "Whoohoo" thought I; a good ol' lurid dream, yum yum. Haven't had one of those in like forever.

So I took one that night and had a vivid, lurid dream about!!!...about!!!!!....

DOG BISCUITS?

WHAT? THE? HECK?!

In my dream, for some reason!, who knows... I was talking to this chap who was making and cooking trays of liver flavored dog biscuits and he said to try one. They smelt awful but he said they're really good...so I did try one.....

...and then I vomited in bed.

NEVER EVER AGAIN! I went to the doc the next day and asked him what us poor Ambien-less insomniacs used to take for years before this marketing miracle arrived. Because whatever it was - that's what I wanted - even if it was being thunked on the head with a sledgehammer. Period. lol

Can't like that.

Anyone here take Ambien for insomnia? I had to take some last night. Worst med ever.

All the very best Scarf! I hope you have a great night's sleep - with no seizures, walrus,..........or dog biscuits!

Today has been a strange day.

I concur this is a first world problem but when my taste buds can't differentiate Patriot from Huntsman, and BGB from Vurley, I know something is not quite right. I've been going through a chronic nick high over the last few days and have had to alter my vaping by lowering voltage, puffing more and inhaling less and dropping the nic levels in my juices. This doesn't help the fact that I still can't taste my liquids. This is terrible because I am currently studying for a post graduate exam and have time off work. Vaping is my best companion during this time, but not this time. In fact, I feel a bit nic sick, slightly vertiginous and a bit jittery, and as I've already mentioned, my ability to taste has diminished. The perplexing thing about the last symptom is that food still tastes amazing, it's just vapor that my taste buds can't figure out. It might be time to pull out some menthol or cinnamon.

This is terrible given that I have recently splurged on some wonderful NETs from a variety of vendors. Just 2 days ago I got MOV Southern Gentleman, Apache and Full Virginia Flake RY4 which I haven't bothered vaping given my inability to appreciate the juices.

I also did something else which is out of the ordinary. I put in orders for non-NETS. My reason for this (apart from the usual compulsive desire to try something new) was that I've run out of decent non-nets I can use with the aging stock of cartos I still have in my possession. They have been superceded by BCC and top coil tanks (RIP smoketech dual-coils, boges, punched cartos). I also think that some of the BCCs like the Evods fair so much better with non-NETS.

My experience with NETS is still evolving and changing all the time as I try different set ups, tanks, RBAS. At this stage I think that NETS perform the best in RBAs. While NETS do well in tanks it is still more of a compromise for on the go convenience and portability. I am finding that non-NETS that aren't too sophisticated or layered and are heavier in PG perform really well in the Evod.

I am also finding that I am somewhat missing dessert type vapes that are stand alone without tobacco. I am primarily a tobacco lover and love aggressive and bold tobaccos but still love variety and something more mellow and anti-tobacco to balance things. Before NETs pervaded my liquid inventory, the odd dessert vape was always on the rotation somewhere. The non-net dessert and fruit vapes I have are either old or really bad (R.I.P FSUSA).

So having made up my mind to buy some non-NETS I put in orders with Vapor Station and Mount Baker Vapors for some non-net tobaccos, desserts and fruits. Looking forward to this reversion to synthetics to see how I feel about them since I've started vaping NETS. My initial impression is that having enjoyed NETS will only compliment my appreciation for a good synthetic rather than diminish it, providing the synthetic is good quality. I hope I don't regret my decision and find the juices of the same quality as the ones I may find myself throwing out when they hit their used by dates. I am happy with my two chosen vendors though.

Some tobaccos can be a little harder for me to place. Is it Burley? Is it Virginia, air cured or Cavendish? Is there some Turkish in the blend? Perique is a bit easier, but it's Latakia that is easy to spot even before the inhale. Even a touch of Latakia is quite easy to notice right away, no question.

This morning I'm enjoying Southern Gentleman from MoutainOakVapors. It has Virginia, Burley, Perique, and Black Cavendish, with a touch of Latakia. The restaint shown with the Latakia is impressive; I notice it easily but it doesn't overshadow the other tobaccos in the blend. There's even a very slight funkiness I sometimes notice, I'm thinking from the Perique. SoGent isn't a juice that impressed me right away, but my appreciation deepens each session I take with it.

Sorry to hear it Scarfy.

Exercise would help so much. Do you get much exercise? It will help sort out your biorhythms, drop some weight which will do wonders for your sleep apnea and help you relax more before bed.

I reckon I have a mild case of sleep apnea going on as well. I know I snore because others have told me. I wake up feeling so much more refreshed since I lost 15 kilos and have gotten fitter through regular cardiovascular exercise.
