So I made my first SS mesh wick, a curled one for my IGO-L. Rolled it on the diagnal so it was flexible and oxidized it fairly well. 4 wraps of 31ga kanthal, metered out to 1.5 ohms. Sweet that was easy. Until I fired it. Major hotspots that I worked out by pulsing on my mech. Glowing even so loaded it up with Puros, and watched it slowly go from 1.5 to 1.1 on the first fill. Put it back on the mech to work out all the hot spots again. Not sure if that's normal or a sign of a bad wrap since I haven't read much about SS mesh wicks. It's hugging the mesh but not tight. Back on my VAMO and it's staying at 1.5 so I think I got to the right destination, even if I was taking the wrong roads.

Vapor and TH are great. Flavor seems a little lighter but pretty good and clean. I think I've read it takes a little breaking in for ss mesh to reach it's full flavor potential. I haven't been able to get as good flavor from my IGO-L with silica as my smaller drippers, so I'm pretty happy with it. It'll be nice to try with juices that otherwise aren't working for me on the small drippers with the micro coils.

With over 3,800 posts and a reputation not unlike that of Malloy? Yeah, you've probably come up in conversation there. I guess Mr. Mann calls him occasionally as well, trying to ply some info out of him lol.

Edit: He probably has a U.S. Mail bin in the back reserved with your name on it!

My avatar is quite perfect for my personality.

I am fairly sure he can handle WTA. Personally, I think it's the Vapor Station liquids that have sent him a bit loopy :)

He may have tried something like this in the following video: (This was the runner up in the vaping guides and ECF comedy video competition a couple of years ago:-

That made me laugh. I'd try that juice. Not the pickled herring.

That BRC Gastropub looks incredible.

Bacon Jam?

BACON JAM?!

How have I never heard of this glorious substance?

It was soooo delicious. And you know what's awesome? In my exercise and diet regimen I get a cheat day. :)

just about 4 weeks ago, I ordered a custom mini... I'm really hoping it ships soon. I am really looking forward to that one. :)

And yes - proper bacon needs to be crispy. mmmmmmmmmmmm

I'd really like to try the DNA20 Bogger Box without paying $200+ for it. A regulated bottom feeder that really works would be my ideal mod. But they appear to have an open catch cup like the REOs, which I hate. The Vmod remains my preferred BF so far.

Johni thanks for the heads up on the V4-V8 co-op. I got in on it :) The prices are amazing and I am impressed with how some of them have the 2 mm airhole and two airholes for dual coils.

Anybody looking for a good dripping atty? There is a co-op going on for the Phoenix V4 through V8. Prices are extremely cheap and the co-op host is a good guy. The V5 has two negative posts, dual air holes, and adjustable air draw. It is the one I'm liking my dual coils on. V4 and V8 are small, very similar to the ones Jerms is using.

Sorry to hear all this is happening to you Scarfy. You know, as a comment to pose a positive thought, it might not be such a bad thing to stop vaping in bed. While vaping has a drastically reduced harm on analogs, I think nicotine and PG/VG can have a mildly congesting and constricting effect on the cardiovascular system, even if only temporarily. If I am not wrong, I read somewhere that nicotine does constrict the airways and blood vessels. It just doesn't block them with tar and CO the way analog's do over time.

Probably what has more authority is the notion that nicotine before bed, let alone in bed, is a stimulant that disrupts sleeping patterns and would deteriorate sleep quality, no different to drinking caffeine before bed.

Hey all.

It was every bit as awful as I expected, but that was mostly thanks to the 25 wires stuck to me. Got MAYBE 3 hours total sleep, and the tech told me I didn't get any REM sleep at all. :(

Got home and stood in my bedroom for a good five minutes, deciding which was more urgent: going back to bed, or taking a shower to remove the paste in my hair and skin. Bed won. :D

One very very bad thing about CPAP: no more vaping in bed once the mask is on!

Shatner, that burger on webpage of the gastropub looks divine. I hope one day I can get to sit in a bar like that in the States eating a burger, drinking American beer and socialising with American people while vaping on a lovely ahlusion Aro or a Gej Cigar flavoured juice.

I really considered the DNA but opted for the standard mini first. I love my VMODs and am hoping I can get a similar vape from the mini. if I can, I may opt for the DNA... the open cup is a concern of mine as well. We'll see how it goes. hopefully, soon.

Yeah, on the REO it prevents portability for me -- and I don't need any more desk mods. Also the gasket and cone on the Vmod tighten the draw nicely, especially on the Vapage atties.

Try to make it to Houston. We have some cool museums and parks. Great food, a lot of microbreweries and fantastic music. And no, not country. lol

Actually, if you want your mind blown and the stereotype of a Texan ruined forever and proven untrue, visit Austin. It's our capital and an awesome town/city. Close to a lake w/ lots of water sport (lol). 6th street downtown would be fun for you. It's only 2 1/2-3 hours away from me, too.

My fiance grew up in Houston and we both have family that live there. Great city... Love me some Shipley's donuts and kolaches.

I was considering a Bogger, but ended up going with a Reo mini. So far I love it. What's the concern with the catch cup?

Trying new flavors, hunting for flavor notes, trying to identify qualities (positive and negative), takes some time and thought. It's easy to lose the flavor :( on many of the milder ones or they can just become boring! To check that my equipment and palette were working properly, I throw on something that has a very clear and consistent flavor that I never lose. Hello Louisville or Devil Dog and goodbye.....I'll just leave it at juices with less impact! :thumb:

So, if the atty overfills or, in some cases (depending on the atty) just fills, it drains into the cup. With the way that cup is situated, the liquid in the atty can leak pretty easily and, since it isnt contained, it can get messy. With the VMOD, the cup is different (sealed and form fit to the atty). I have never had a leak from any of my VMODs.

For me, its just a concern - we'll see how it performs.

I see what you mean... Haven't run into that problem so far. Guess time will tell.

Oh goodness! I love kolaches! The best kolaches we ever had were at the Czech Stop in West Texas. They got hit recently by the bad weather there, but it is on the drive up from Houston, between Waco and DFW. Tried to make my own based on something I was hoping close to their recipe. Unfortunately, I am not a baker. They are hard to get right. Here it is in case your fiance is a natural baker:

I miss the Shipley's donuts too. Good stuff!:)

Mmmmmmmmm, cradling in the arms of Sahara Blend . . .

One thing that must be mentioned about this juice is how incredibly equipment-friendly it is! I've vaped probably 20-30 mls of SB through a single T3, and the coils appear to be . . . unused. :thumb:

Gotta run -- need to pick up a pet taxi and some cat toys before I go to get Baby next week! :):):)

Juice spills out of it if it tips.

I love the tough build though. I wish Vapage would make an all-metal Vmod with VV or VW.

I felt like I had reached a high point in my vaping when I comparison vaped London, Apache, and Devil Dog one evening a while back. Today I have been revisiting the new QNJ juices. While trying the "Your Name" Turkish it hit me, "I can do this again". :D So I fired up the QNJ Turkish, Ahlusion Sahara Blend, and Good eJuice Wid Turkey back to back!:p I won't post my impressions as a lot of folks are still testing the QNJ Turkish but it was pretty revealing to do this comparison. Which one would I buy?:?:

All of them!!!!!!:thumb::thumb::thumb:
