Wow, those look nice.. and expensive. I'd really like a bottom-feeder, but I'll either have to save up or wait for China to clone them. If I save up for one I'd maybe get a nice wood one like those Boggers. Reos sure are nice, but c'mon, it's an aluminum box, let's see some mass-produced ones for cheapskates like myself.

I love bottom feeders, and I want a DNA20. My concern is breaking it. Does the stabilization process make it less easy to damage? Because that thing's about $300, and I would hate to drop and crack it. Let me rephrase that: I will drop it, and when I do I would hate it if it cracked.

Stabilization is suppose to harden the wood, this is mainly for home use or out & about, just North of $250 for a Custom Wood Box was reasonable considering the DNA20 Opus is about $200 for a machined Aluminum Mod. I can use them to Bottom-Feed or throw on a tank, Carto or Carto-tank using a 510-Ego Adapter.

The Ebony was suppose to be a non Bottom-Feed DNA20, I was going to give it to my Sister in September when she visits. I don't think she would like or have the patience to bottom-feed, She could surprise me, like when she preferred my VV Gripper to the Vision Spinner. She had only used the Pen-size batteries previously, and I'd thought she would prefer the Tube type over a Box with external Batteries... I was so wrong

I'm not too concerned about dropping it and don't plan on playing catch or any contact sport while vaping with this, besides I'm too old for those activities now @54. These are used at home, in the Car or out for the evening, I won't use it at work, too big for my shirt pocket anyway.

I didn't hit one single number. Figured I had a 50/50 chance of being a millionaire. I mean, either I win or I lose.. 2 choices.. 50/50. That's how odds work right?

I'm an old stats major. How many numbers do you have to pick and how many choices with each number. I'll give you the odds. But brace yourself. :)

The odds are so low that I would rather use the buck for kindling.

The odds on winning the big one (1 in 175 million) are too incredible to comprehend unless stated in concrete terms.. such as, my odds of getting hit by lightening that day were much better. The odds of winning something though are 1 in 32 with Powerball. Still.. the house always win. A couple times a year is all they'll get out of me.

Story time because this is awesome:

I had to build 4 full auto, short barrel (8"!! 16" is minimum legal length without NFA authorization, extra taxes and LONG waits. Same with full auto and suppressors [silencers]) suppressed AR15s for an HPD SWAT team. I built their Sgt. one and when the other guys saw them they took out second mortgages (literally) and had me build them their dream weapons. Today was the end of their 9 month wait for their NFA paperwork to go through. So I was able to transfer the carbines to them.

They invited me to one of/the SWAT training facilities. OMG!!!!! I probably shot 2k 5.56mm rounds out of my semi auto, short barrel suppressed AR today and another 600 9mm out of my Glock 19. It was pretty much a personal training class. We did the kill house in light and dark. I have SO much more respect for what they do!!!

To those here that serve, thanks!

I've built weapons for Police before. But these guys were on another ... level. I'm beat!

And I can afford a vacation now. A long vacation.

On a NET note: I ordered every NET from GeJ. Well, all the ones I didn't have. I think I'm going to like Organic #1 and Natural Perique. The funk of the Perique is awesome.

I took Huntsman with me today to my job "interview." Basically, it was just to fill out pre-hiring paperwork, since I was wanted back to the place that originally terminated me due to policy issues (3 strike rule). Everyone wanted me back, and, unfortunately it's for a slightly lower paying job because that was all that was available. Even the Store Manager noted that it won't be that for long; we just have to work within the system. So I am re-employed!

And nothing says "he means business" like the scent of the Huntsman on you :) It just enlivens the senses and keeps you focused. Love HHV's HUNTSMAN.

Thanks.

It'll be good to get back to the grind.

Sure, until it's really a grind.

'smithing was getting old. fit, assemble, function check, rinse, repeat up to hundreds of times depending on firearm (like a 1911). AR15 building I can do with my eyes closed. But today's fun with SWAT was exactly what I needed to re-charge. I also need to re-new my Glock, Sig, Colt and Springfield armorer certs soon. I should get on that.

Sounds like you'll be needing lots of cleaning patches and solvent.

My suppressor is already soaking in Simple green. Same with the bolt carrier group. I put bore foam in the upper reciever/barrel (10") for 1 hr. I'll patch it out and oil it up while watching some TV tonight. The suppressor will hose out tomorrow and the bcg just gets wiped down, oiled and re-installed. But in general I go through a lot of simple green and grease (Slide Glide) or oil (Motul 5w30)

I'll wipe the feed ramp on the Glock and put a drop of oil on each corner of the slide rails. Oh, and q tip the Trijicon HD night sights.
