I think there is one called Connecticut or Canadian Bottom Leaf that's mostly used for cigar wraps.

Close, it's called Connecticut Broadleaf. I think it's fairly dark and oily, and often used as Maduro cigar wrappers, and also used as cigar filler. Connecticut Shade is another type of premium leaf used for cigars.

Looks good. One semi-correction; Virginia is another name for Brightleaf tobacco, and is grown all around the world. In the US I think it's mainly grown in Kentucky, Tennessee, and yes, Virginia. I read a brief thing that Latakia is a type of Virginia, but that might have been incorrect. And Cavendish doesn't have to be flavored tobacco, though often is. Cavendish describes a way to cure and cut a tobacco, and can be done to just bring out the natural sweetness in the tobacco instead of adding an additional flavor.

Ah, good to know I'm actually learning. Thanks for the corrections; noted.

I picked a bottle of this up at the E-Cig City 4 vape meet, while I was hanging with Tez and Blue. It was my obligatory I've-been-hanging-out-in-your-store-for-four-hours purchase. I've dripped a little, but have been letting steep. My initial impression was that it was a good, but typical Western-style RY4. For synthetic RY4s, I prefer a balanced flavor like the Janty RY4s. For NET RY4s, I want a strong tobacco presence like GeJ GJ4. Is Helios a NET? I didn't ask when I bought it.

I don't believe Helios is a NET.

Someone was asking for a NET RY4 a few posts ago. I'm going to suggest a TA juice. Velvet Cloud Vapor White Beard is an RY4 but instead of vanilla, they use vanilla custard. If you'd prefer it with vanilla and not vanilla custard just ask for "Adam's White Beard". Either way is really good, but I prefer my way. They extract their own TA from Honey Cured Virginia and it is BY FAR the best TA available.

Excellent information, Shatner, ty! *washes the dishes and starts laundry now ;)

Yes, Turkish is in Camel. But Turkish alone doesn't burn hot enough to release all of it's sugars and caramalize. So it's commonly mixed with Virginia and/or Burley.

Virginia, is obvious as to where it's grown, but, if I'm not mistakin' is also it's own strain. Usually lighter in flavor.

Burley is also it's own strain. But much more robust and full bodied. It can be grown anywhere tobacco is grown. Mexican Burley is gaining in popularity.

Perique is fermented tobacco grown in Louisiana. It can be a mix of different strains. It has a funk and can be a little sour.

Latakia (Latkia is a very common misspelling) is oriental. Very smoky and only the die hard tobacco fans will appreciate it.

Cavendish is flavored tobacco. Think vanilla pipe tobacco. Or Cherry pipe tobacco. You know he tobacco you pinch from a pouch and it's moist and fruity smelling? That's Cavendish. Mostly bright Virginias and mild Burley mixes.

No I'm no expert, but this is how I understand it. Please correct me if I'm off base.

Quick Nic Juice has 15% off code: 15off
they honor it in person, too
Heather's Heavenly Vapes runs $13/30ml and have a few (Legend) pipe blends. But most vendors are in that $15 and up. Quick nic Juice has an excellent English pipe blend (Grandpa's Night Cap) but I think he's about $15 too.

My last wife was a Vietnamese Import, everything was fine until we had our boy, her Mom came here and the rest of the family moved in, no privacy or peace, and everything was about her Family. life goes on... enough said, I don't want to derail the thread :rules: :toast:

NET News; This past week I took Sahara 18mg & Dover Court 15mg (Cold Extract) to work, the Sahara had a Medium TH, and was a dry, non-sweet vape I found satisfying but not exactly like a Turkish Blend.

Dover Court was pleasantly mild, smooth with a slightly less than medium TH, a background Vanilla taste was noticeable on the inhale more than the exhale. Both were run in KR510 1ml Clearos, it lets my MOD fit in my shirt pocket and allows the flap to close/ not bulky.

I almost forgot a BIG THANKS:thumb: to Bronze, the Proudest Monkey (PM) is an Oh-Wow!, I'm glad I bought the 30ml. I first vaped it in a T3, Really good tasting Fire-cured Tobaccy and the background of Banana on inhale & exhale.

Last night I loaded up a fresh Carto-Tank of PM for the drive to work... simply amazing, the Banana was more pronounced, not over-overbearingly so, but an enhanced compliment to the Tobacco.

Even with my voltage @~4.5, the Banana was a harmonious player and didn't fade, I love exhaling this liquid through my nose and getting that Banana taste/aroma, definitely a permanent spot in my Vape Box, next to Louisville.

Since the Legend and PM were used in the T3, and I barely noticed the Cherry in Legend, I'm wondering if the T3 mutes Fruit flavored liquids... anyone else have an opinion?

Try that Sahara again after two months. I gets very, very tobacco-sweet under the dry blast.

I use a lot of T3's, and I do think they mute flavor, especially since I put some of the same juice side-by-side in one and then with the new disposable atty's I got this week. But, not too much. I do think if you have a subtle flavor with slight nuance notes, you could miss them in a T3. But, I still love them, I just hate rebuilding them. But, a rebuilt coil is 10X as good as a factory one flavor-wise.

After several weeks of vaping artibaccos and dessert e-liquids, I treated myself to some NETs today. It has been a pretty boring day thus far (I'm spending more time in the Chinese consulate than I care to), but Ahlusion Maple Burley and Sweet Georgia Peach have made the day much better. Sometimes I like taking a break from quality NETs because coming back to them is so, so sweet.

I keep an eye out for tobacco vapes that contain a unique flavor alongside the tobacco, and found one today. It's from TheVaporChef; this was the first time I checked out their site, and I'm assuming they use synthetic tobacco flavoring since it doesn't say otherwise on their site.

The flavor, Deep Thoughts, is described as sassafras pipe tobacco.. "vanilla, sassafras, deep rich pipe tobacco, a little spice." Sounds really interesting, I may check it out. They also have a cherry cavendish with notes of oak, cherry, and vanilla called... wait for it..... Slartibartfast.

Anyone try TheVaperChef tobaccos or have any info on them?

If I re-order, I have ~2ml left, it was a short 5 week steep, it had a pale to medium Salmon Pink color so I vaped it. My next Turkish/Oriental will be an order of Humpback. The dryness of the Sahara was actually enjoyable for me, I lean towards truer Tobaccos without too many Flavor/sweetness distractors.

That's good to hear that you're enjoying Proudest Monkey. Good stuff!

Hi all. Coming back here after a draining argument. I hate people sometimes. :(

I got my order of bottles so today will be packing up juices. Filled the AGI with 12-day old Shadow, and unlike the Booty, this one is not yet ready... it's a bit weak. But I still love it.

Got a decent tax return (YAY) and have paid my share of bills to year's end (YAYAYAY) so I am going to modestly treat myself to a new mod. Can't decide between a Reo Grand or a Bogger Box mini feeder. Ideas?

I would think fruits would suffer most since they have a more subtle/delicate flavor than Coffee's or tobacco's. I don't bother rebuilding T3 or T2 coils, at 1.80-2.00 a pop, I'll just change them out. I don't use them very often, and I normally get ~2 months worth of use, I mainly get them for co-workers I've helped off analogs.

What tobacco could mimic sweaty gym socks? I can't get over this flavor...maybe the Perique? I need to find out what is in this liquid - it's acrid, but smells pleasant like vanilla.

It probably is Perique. Definitely an acquired taste, not for everyone.

Total understatement on all counts, only Louisville and Habana Daydream has put me in such a Euphoric feeling after an extended vape session. I chain vaped them ~15-20 minutes, and I couldn't put any of those three down for longer than 3-4 minutes without "one more vape"... "one more vape", three "Oh Wow!" liquids in an eight month period is a great year.

I was already planning my next PM purchase... and I've only vaped ~4ml  :hubba:
