I wonder how the FDA is going to provide a loophole for BT so they can keep selling their njoy's and such. With the money BT is putting into ecigs there's no way they'll let the Feds get away with a complete ban. Maybe licensing that would cost way beyond what the little guys can pay. The FDA says there's not enough research proving that ecigs are safe. Well, there's none saying they're unsafe. So why ban them? I just cannot understand the mindset of people who want to have a say into every little detail of other folks daily lives. I do know that they'll keep doing it until we get off our butts and say ENOUGH!

They won't ban it. they will likely do one (or more) of the following:

- require the liquid to be sold in prefilled cartos
- add stringent health and safety regulations to the vendors (cleanrooms, testing procedures, etc.)
- ban unflavored "pure" nicotine liquid sales
- ban liquid with nicotine and only allow the sale of flavored nicotine-less mixes
- have some kind of registration and taxation process for vendors that is very costly
- something else I cant think of right now

if 2 of those 4 are selected, quite a few vendors will immediately go out of business (with another wave shortly thereafter). There are a surprising number of vendors that still mix in the kitchen sink and a lot of more boutique vendors that are run out of homes.

Good to see you, CW. You made great points.

re: FDA: I have no money for stockpiling of anything at this time. Luckily, the government usually moves slow :)

I might have to move in with my Dad, who lives just 1 town over from Good Ejuice. ;)

You're not all that far from them anyway. It's only what, about an hour trip from Beecher? Easy-peasy.

I got my small bottles of vita bella and gj4. The bella surprised me a little on how light the color is. It's sorta peach colored. Is that normal? I'm dying to try it and but I want to fight it off and let it steep a bit. I don't think I can hold off dripping just a little though. Just so I have a benchmark for what it is today and what it will be tomorrow. I suppose I have to let gj4 steep? If not, it's getting tanked up and vaped today.

On the subject of banning. I highly doubt hardware will be included. I don't even think you can ban flavored (but nicless) juice or even just the flavors for that matter. Just call it food flavoring and move on. That's what is is anyway. Nic is the choke. I have a liter of 60mg in the freezer. I don't want to DIY either but I definitely will. I'm sure online vendors will sell their flavor mixes for a time with no nic. If you have nic juice on hand you can DIY without much hassle.

God I hope my gut is wrong but I have plenty of doubts. I'm so sick of decisions being made FOR me.

Same here. Drip a bit of it then let it steep for a while and it should darken. I don't think any of my previous vita bela orders started that light but, i do know it darkened...

Yeah, mine eventually got more deep, but it was still maroon-ish to begin with. Good liquid right there though! Satin sheets.

Both my 30ml bottles of Vita Bella started out as a fairly deep maroon transparency. 21 months of aging has transformed each of them into dark and opaque juices. I wouldn't call their color black, but it's certainly very dark brown. Both are now mature, adult juices, probably well past mid-life; I have trouble even remembering what they tasted like in their childhoods and adolescences. My best recollection is that their non-tobacco flavorings have compressed somewhat over time, with the spiciness diminishing, although they still provide ample NET tobacco whomp. I drip them exclusively these days.

This aging has had a lovely effect on my Frankenjuiced bottle of 2/3 NLV Bounty Hunter and 1/3 Vita Bella, which is a bit younger (only 16 months old), but tastes better now than when it was "created."

Yeah, not black, but almost like blood that has been exposed to air for several days. Bill, if you happen to see this, what was that limited-run BH made for? Was it VapeTV? I can't remeber. Also, what was the ratio?

MrM,

Yes, it was made for VapeTV. I still have about 24mls of it. The label says VG, implying 100%, but that's probably not true, since the flavorings were likely PG. So, I'd guess about 15/85 PG/VG. The viscosity is quite thick, however, so who knows? Maybe it is 100% VG.

That bottle of VapeTV Bounty Hunter VG was the inspiration for my BH/VB Frankenjuice. The limited-run version was so much tastier than regular Bounty Hunter that it became difficult to settle for the ordinary stuff after vaping the VapeTV all-VG BH. Oh well, it's all water under the bridge now, since I vape NLV juices so infrequently (maybe 30 minutes total in 2013, including 10 minutes today). Definitely deserves to go into the time capsule, however: Meteoric rise followed by a long fall. Was NLV's year in the sun a significant chapter in vaping history? Maybe not, but it sure will make an interesting footnote.

Scarf, you have truly outdone yourself with your latest extractions!

Dunhill Early Morning Pipe: Virginia and Oriental blend used by many pipe smokers along with their morning coffee. Very smooth, mild to medium in tobacco impact it fulfills the promise of being a nice blend to start the day. Lovely flavor, easily vapeable for extended periods. This juice could fit in the GeJ House Brewed line as it is a very good, no nonsense tobacco.

Erinmore: Blend of orange Virginias, Burley, and Black Cavendish. The descriptions I found said it has a slight floral/fruity note and from that I would not have anticipated enjoying it as much as I am. Very flavorful, dark, and spicy tobacco with a slight citrus floral note and a slight sweetness. Very unique flavor (in my experience) with enough complexity to be interesting and provide variety in a rotation.

Honey Nut Oolong Tea with Tobacco: Mild, dark tea flavor with a slight smokey sweetness. Can't pick out the tobacco variety and tobacco impact is mild in this in this slightly dry juice. This is my first tea vape and I find it interesting, very approachable, and like it better than any other juice I have tried that had "honey" in the description.

Thank you Sasha for the opportunity to try your wonderful creations. If you ever decide to go pro, I will definitely be a customer!

I did load a tank of GJ4 and vape basically all of it today. Very smooth mild ry4 right there. Excellent. Nice tobacco notes with a classic not overly sweet ry4 aftertaste. Not as complex as qua4tro but very good stuff. Big bottle incoming.

hopefully I can grab some this payday...

The meeting or 'sitting' they are referring to only mentions e-cig deliver devices and doesn't talk about the banning of e-liquids but I think, in our digression, the real fear is a ban on e-liquids. There is no feasible way they can ban mods or e-cigs. CHINA STANDS IN THEIR WAY.

I honestly don't think e-cigs can be banned, not in any practical or legal way. I am not entirely sure what is happening in Europe, though i have stumbled on this article.

EU vote on electronic cigarettes 'makes no sense' - Telegraph

The only real practical effect going forward might be that it will be more expensive, whether by way of taxing and regulating or going through the black market. It's hard to envision a government that will actually ban a product that is safer than a legally available product.

We live in a global village and unless every country in the world completely bans e-cigs and e-liquids, they will always be accessible.

Is anyone on this thread living in the affected countries in Europe? Could you please comment on what's happening, how it's affected your vaping and whether you have found a workaround way of continuing to get equipment and e-juice?

I already started on the vape apocalypse stockpiling bandwagon....and I will keep going down that road.

My current stash is modest, about 300-350 mls (EDIT ~ about 500 mls) of decent stuff and about 100 mls of "only if I have to" juices. But, I plan on ordering more wholecig next month (a decent order) and I've started buying concentrates. I have NO idea what I am doing, though. I want to combine WTA with nicotine base and don't understand what is safe there. I will learn as I go.

I'm afraid with upcoming meeting we will see a frenzy, even if minor, and see a shortage.
