Goodejuice's GJ4 took about a week to fully gunk my iClear30 coils. Dual coils, gunked as one. Usually it takes Organic #1 at least 2 weeks before the gunk.

Must be all of the sweet stuff inside.

Luckily I have an order of Heavenly Army and Legend (it's been too long) on the way. I can't be without the HA. I am incomplete.

So I recently bought some Mountain Oak Vapor liquids off the classifieds. My Full Virginia Flake tastes very different from what I remember. The date on it is 1/12/13. Originally I thought it was pretty good. At nine months steeped, it's incredible. The sweetness is in the background with a strong mild-flavored tobacco in the front. Though still somewhat sweet it's become one of my new faves.

Are you kiddin' me? Two weeks? It takes me about a day (2-3 fills). Are you cleaning between fills?

No. I don't have to clean until about 2 weeks on my iClear16. It works well. I actually had it in a Triton Tank for a while, too, when I had enough. That one lasted about a month :) But the iClear16, it's lasted a good 2 weeks. Unlike the GJ4, which was automatic gunk.

And that's daily use. Not all day, just a morning session for a few hours.

And these people think I'm crazy for steeping Vita Bella for six months. :)

Ah, I see. My clearo of choice at the moment is the long-wick T2 (essentially the same as the Triton), 2.2 ohm coil on a 3.7V battery and I've been vaping Organic all day, pretty much. The first fill with a new head is delightful. Second fill is also good at first but the burnt taste/motor oil color starts happening toward the end.

I hear you. After a month, it's all black, like thick India Ink :) Luckily, it doesn't taste like it.

While on the subject of Mountain Oak Vapors.. I loaded up 3 month steeped Southern Gentleman in the Kayfun Lite this evening. Damned if I didn't get a hint of Perique off the first hit. Never experienced that in the ProTanks before. I've always liked SG, but today..it's outta this world. So, off I go to MOV's site to look up their description of SG..

"Southern Gentleman™ starts off with a mix of Virginia, Latika, and Perique tobacco's that have been blended with an aromatic Amaretto that consists of Black Cavendish and Virginia Ribbon. We finish it off with a Tennessee Ribbon Burley and this blend becomes true to the name. It has a strong, present, and well rounded tobacco flavor that will not leave the enthusiast wanting."

 Enough said! Another win for the Kayfun Lite.

Yeah, I realize that now. I had put my gennies in time-out for a while and had switched to a couple ProTanks only setup. Rediscovering some of the lost flavours the last few days.. I did not see much difference with Apache, because I've been using it with my RDA's on my e-pipes, but HUGE difference with the Southern Gentleman. Glad I decided to try it out in the K-Lite!

I gotta put this down, and hit the sack. Have to get back vertical in 4.5 hours.. G'night NT thread members. Dusty out!

Thought I would share this link to a BBC documentary called Addicted to Pleasure: Nicotine. It's a 4 part series documentary with each episode about one particular substance that has been part of human life and pleasure for centuries. The tobacco episode linked is educational and fascinating. It covers the history of tobacco and tobacco smoking and how it affects the pleasure centres of the brain. There are plenty of scenes showing tobacco in its natural state before harvest. The origins of smoking and smoking devices is covered from the time it was first discovered in the South Americas to the English Pipe smoking generation and then snuff which came from Virginia US.

So, Kayfun or Igo of some sort? I'm very new to RBA/RBD and have had some in the past that have just ended up in the garbage. The Kayfun looks super easy to set up on Vaperev's sight.

I've been seriously considering trying RBAs/RDAs again as The House of Vapor 510 Stingrays really eat up some funds every month. Should I just bight the bullet and get one? Would it be easy to hawk in the classies if I don't give a shiz about it after a few tries (I'm an impatient .......)? Or shoud I just get a phoenix/Igo, etc? I have a Nembuis, but I don't know wt f to do with 3 posts.

Anyone want to trade my Nimbus ($65) for an equivalent 2 post RBA (dripper preferred)? Or any suggestions on what I should get as far as RDA, wire and wick? I'm assuming Ekowoll and 28G Kanthal, but I very well could be completely off base. Also, links would be MUCH appreciated!

Thanks!!!

The Kayfun has a tank, and most swear by it. If you don't like it -- yes, you could easily, very easily, quickly sell it. Many folks don't want to wait for it to ship from Germany, and they are in HOT, HOT, HOT demand.

If you prefer a dripper, go Phoenix, IGO or Vicious Ant. Easy to set up. 28g kanthal/Ekowool is what I prefer. Organic cotton is all the rage now, but you have to be wary of those dry hits. If I can easily set up an RDA -- so can you, Shatner! :)
