That's funny because I think AVE's Gamel tastes like piss, vinegar and funky river water...but I love it.![]()
Oh, on cigars I will get to ci and coffee, but I have a lot of cigars to get through first. Sittin on a good supply of some heavyweights right now...Managua, Alcazar, 3 Crowns, H+ Yellow, and some NETCOM Bourbon Infused...plus the Ali and Frasier of cigarette NET Paris and Big Spirit.
I don't feel that Big Spirit needs any more steep ... it's a cigarette vape and comes off as strong as a cigarette to me right out of the mail. My first 15ml is gone only after a week, so it didn't have any time to steep, so I'm uncertain if it will develop one way or another. I got another 60ml on Friday... maybe it will last long enough to find out but I doubt it will last a month... lol.
Gamel (Not a Net of course) is fantastic. I preferred it fresh. I think steeping it for 2 years is a bit of overkill. I should perhaps vape it all up before it really gets old.
I re-stocked on my Gej ADV's and popped open VB that's been aging for about 14 weeks. However, after that very pleasant tank of VB I gave the House Blend sample a shot. Nope.Tasted like chicken, the one that didn't make it across the road. Could I have steeped it too long? It's been three and a half months on a cool, dark and dry closet shelf.

I've waited 12 days and it still hasn't arrived. I really hope Big Spirit and Mango Vanilla are waiting for me in the mail tomorrow. To save costs I went with Clay's much more economical first class international delivery and I guess that in turn comes with a trade-off - longer wait times. I don't mind longer wait times except for the fact that I start to get jittery about it having been lost in the mailing system or confiscated (which has only ever happened once).
I can't wait to try Big Spirit.
I'm reposting this from a reply to a different thread I made. It's relevant here, and will give a chance for others to correct or add to my thoughts.
Chop up a cigar, soak it in pg/vg, or use some other extraction method, and you have a cigar NET. Do the same with pipe tobacco, and you have a pipe NET. Do the same with cigarette tobacco, and you have a cigarette NET... in theory.
My VB is 6-1/2 months old and is awesome. You haven't let yours steep long enough.![]()
Ooh, ooh, ooh! Jerms!!! You're going to like this one. H1N1 from Nicoticket just got here. It's good stuff; between HHV and Plume Room. No particular flavor from them, just their style.
H1N1 is sweet. I'm guessing a cold maceration of a Cavendish blend. The tobacco isn't large font, but it's there. I detect a bit of cinnamon. I think. Some kind of spice, not the tobacco. Also a tiny bit of banana. It's not bold but not light. I'm pretty excited to see what some age does to this stuff. As of right now I don't see why I won't reorder it.
I was also sent a beta bottle of Orange Mango H1N1. It's the same tobacco base but with, you guessed it, orange and mango. The flavors kind of clash in this liquid but for some reason it works. I'm looking forward to some age on this, too.
Speaking of arti-bacco from GeJ, Commercial Tobacco from them is hands down the best artificial tobacco liquid I've had.
Where do I begin? First - you've never tasted anything like H1N1. The predominant flavor notes depend entirely on the amount of steep time you put into it. Early in the life-cycle of H1N1, notes of chocolate, peanuts and caramel serve to accent an even bodied dry tobacco flavor. There is a faint candy cinnamon flavor that resides underneath - enough to tantalize your taste-buds but not enough to distract you from the main event. Tobacco Absolute forms the foundation for the tobacco flavor - a Naturally Extracted Tobacco (NET) blend is gently inserted to give the liquid "legs." The NET component of the liquid takes steep time to emerge, but when it does, you will know it. It tastes a bit like maple syrup and/or honey when it does emerge - it continues to grow in body and texture throughout the process of steeping the liquid until it is the predominant flavor.

That's good, because the description says peanuts. I don't like nuts or nuttiness![]()

NETs with fruit. Discuss.
I'm going to have Luigi mix me up a mess of NET's with different fruit flavors (the standard fare: peach, cherry, blueberry, etc.) and see what shakes loose. What ones do you think would marry up well with fruit flavors: Patriot? Perique? Acadian Gold? Suggestions and input most welcome.
